I wan it on the daily mail, they have also said that the mass testing in Liverpool is proving to be unsafe as they missed half of the infectious cases and what’s more worrying is the departments of health admits it’s use of swabs is “outside the instructions for use”
the daily Mail eh.
28.1 EPG on eco for me, I only do school runs, but it’s never good on juice. 5.5k on the clock.
September 30, 2020 at 10:40 pm in reply to: I’ve got a feeling this will be our last motability car. #125394Totally agree, my Volvo will be the last, for £3k deposit I can own a Tesla for roughly the same monthly price. Approx (500pcm)
I’ll be leaving Motability next year to buy and (Hopefully) the last ever car I’ll own will be a Tesla.
If you are happy to be without a car for three years whilst you save up
I got one from Amazon. About £60, records in 4K and charges via the usb socket. I managed to hide the wires inside the plastic and into the glove compartment.
if I can do it, most people can. I’m absolutely useless.
You may as well just stuff money in the exhaust with an XC40 anyway.
Doesn’t say free anywhere?
July 3, 2020 at 12:41 am in reply to: Blue Badge holders are permitted to use our Parent & Child bays #117536I absolutely hate using my badges. It’s like a thousand eyes on me when I do park in one, even from other disabled drivers sat in their cars.
Having read through this thread, I feel very fortunate i managed to get my xc40 r design pro t4 for effectively £900. These AP are bordering on comical.
Them Mercedes CLA prices are a joke.
June 18, 2020 at 11:47 pm in reply to: New cars are 5.4% less efficient than WLTP figures suggest, Volvo XC40 is the wo #115531That’s roughly the same what I’m getting in my xc40 r design pro, know it’s been recommended I get it checked, and I may. But if I’d have known the MPG was roughly half of what I get from my old 2litre merc CLA I’d have never got it.
Several months later for me, I’m at 27,7 MPG. 2.5K miles done.(T4)
June 3, 2020 at 12:02 am in reply to: neighbour complained about dog barking in garden this afternoon #114241I can’t believe people just leave their dogs in the garden to bark, my neighbours do it and it’s awful.
Haven’t had any mail in months.
If the car is written off, the insurance only covers the named drivers. The very least that will happen is you’ll be prevented from being able to apply for another vehicle. The worst is the police may get involved to decide if a criminal offence has taken place in order to settle the insurance premium.
i was responsible for a crash when I very stupidly drove whilst banned and never told Motability. They sent an ex police officer (Insurance liabilities I think?)to interview me and I just admitted it, I was banned from the scheme and was able to rejoin several years later after promising to pay the outstanding amount of about £7k
im not saying this is what I’ll happen, but they do take it seriously, or did in my case.
Will be donating this, I do not need this thankfully. Like the £10 Christmas bonus, slightly unusual to receive.
Yes, Tesco have been almost enjoyable for me. Extremely well thought out, I’ve been going around 9am and it’s been extremely quiet for those looking to do the same.
good luck an stay safe.
What a depressingly comical thread, same as you all really. I avoid supermarkets because I get stressed/anxious as pathetic as this sounds so have discovered how to order and pay, AND get delivery for food via my phone!
usually just days out for my son, school run, hospital visits.
January 27, 2020 at 9:13 pm in reply to: Mercedes CLA 180 Premium Plus or Tiguan Rline 2.0 TDI DSG #104302CLA every time. Not a single thought.
But you said you were getting 24.4 mpg in yours Crippledad … ?? ? I’ve decided not to get too sidetracked on fuel consumption for the time being given that we’ve dismissed so many other cars along the way. It definitely seems to be the case that you gotta get some miles on it to loosen it up. The car we’re gonna test drive, whilst having the T4 engine, happens to be an AWD variant so slightly heavier than the 2WD, and it will have a few miles on it so as we’ll have it for the day and warm it up nicely, we should be able to get a good view on how it does for fuel as we’ll run it into lumpy North Wales and back.
you are right, some reason I read it as 23.9. ? you’ll love it, it’s a nice drive and If, like me you aren’t too fussed, it’s a lovely car despite the very few minor annoyances.
29MPG!
supposed to be a reply to the above video, but the MPG in that is even worse than mine!!!
So this morning i had a GP appointment booked and came outta the house in plenty of time only to find the car iced up. So of course the the de-icer came out of the boot and the whole sodding tedious routine started to get the car good to go whilst twitching with one eye on the clock. No surprises, the idea of having a heated windscreen in an XC40 R Design Pro was the first thing that came into my mind. Is the cosmos sending me subtle signs here folks ? ?
You can use remote start to warm the car up and defrost the car too. I did it today.
daily mail article incoming?!
“MOTABILITY GIVES AWAY FREE BMWS AND FREE FUEL”.
All joking aside.i don’t like the i3 at all, it’s definitely a marmite car. But this would make me even consider it,
