Hi all,
What is your opinion of the chr+ ?
it seems to get good reviews and it seems well kitted out and a good looking vehicle with decent range.
The AP doesn’t seem so bad either.

I think you have to consider auto jouralists reviews with some skepticism, especially if your just an average daily driver.
April 18, 2026 at 11:49 am #353616Kezo does the urban cruiser take longer to charge than the chr plus ? As you know I’ve had a chr hybrid for 5 years this one now 2 years so miss a rear wiper bloody dangerous imho can’t believe they haven’t put one on this new one !

Urban Cruiser has a 61kWh battery / CHR+ 77kWh battery
If your charging at home it doesn’t really matter.
If your going to be charging away from home on DC charging, the CHR+ supports 150kWh vs Urban Cruisers 70kWh
April 24, 2026 at 2:32 pm #354044Update the notability man told me at Toyota dealer this morning two people have ordered chr design plus on notability they getting them in July
April 24, 2026 at 2:58 pm #354045Hi Mike
I ordered my CHR+ on Tuesday in Design trim in the lovely metal oxide colour.
I was told 4 weeks for delivery and was really surprised it would be that quick and salesperson said it was because it’s already on its way 😃
April 24, 2026 at 3:46 pm #354047My window opens in 16 days, when I back from holiday I will book test drive, not sure what to do , or take the 12 month extension? and see home the scheme evolves.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

that’s great news that colour is lovely saw on YouTube only saw it in grey at my dealer have you had a test drive?
April 24, 2026 at 5:12 pm #354050Hi Yes we had it for a whole afternoon and was very impressed with how smooth and refined it was.The suspension was really good and ironed out the really bad roads around here 😂
it is a little bit grey in the cabin as a lot of reviews have mentioned but overall we preferred it to the Kia EV 3 GT line which we also tested.
If you have any questions I’ll do my best to answer them although this will be my first EV and I’m yet to learn about charging 😃
April 24, 2026 at 5:50 pm #354051That’s great the manager told it was very quiet and refined and the power boot is very handy
April 24, 2026 at 5:59 pm #354054I have looked at both the EV3 ad C-HR+ too date I have not test drive either vehicle, the EV3 interior is lighter, the wife prefers the EV3 interior, the C-HR+ we viewed the showroom model was gunmetal grey, the demonstrator black, both interior not as nice as the EV3.
The EV3 only £799 compared to the C-HR+ £1195, the only thing which puts me off the EV3 the AC charging failures and problem, which to date has not been sorted, Kia and Hyundai have changed the warranty to 15 years/150,000 for the unit to stabilise consummers confidence, I don’t need a unreliable vehicle.
So subject to a test drive it will be either the C-HR or extend our lease.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
April 24, 2026 at 7:04 pm #354055Definitely agree on the lighter interior on the EV 3 and ideally we would have liked the Kia interior and the body shape and ride quality of the Toyota the ride on the Kia was definitely harsher and made it feel a little less well built and also felt not as responsive as the Toyota but definitely drive them both before deciding 😃
April 25, 2026 at 12:02 pm #354073Contacted the local Toyota dealer we asked if they could hold back the vehicle if we ordered in May until we returned from holiday end of September, they stated no Mobility rule we would have to change vehicle at the end of our lease August 10th. Strangely Kia Stafford had no problem hold back the vehicle.
It looks like we will take our chances on or after 1st July.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

May 18, 2026 at 5:40 pm #361128Had a test drive today, hubby says it drives well, like the Bz4x but less wooden, not that Basil is hard to drive, just a big car. Also test drove the urban cruiser, this is not for us, we were back within 5 mins!
Not sure which way we will go yet, might be private yet.
Bz4x fwd vision in silver
