Going to look at the Toyota CH-R EV Design to see how it compares to the Kia EV3 GT-Line, the Toyota 77 vs Kia 81 kWh battery, however the Toyota has a heat pump as standard. Our Suzuki Across has a Toyota heat pump it is very efficient.

Only the AWD version can tow up to 1500kg, which isn’t available on the scheme. The normal FWD one can tow up to 750kg which is pretty useless unless you’ve got a very very light trailer.
April 9, 2026 at 3:10 pm #351278Had a look today was I impressed unfortunately no, I just thought it would look and feel so much better, I haven’t had a test drive yet, but both prefer the Suzuki Across.
The Kia EV3 looks and feels a more modern vehicle, the Kia interior and boot are larger the the Toyota C-HR+ despite being externally a larger vehicle.

Sat in it today & must admit I liked it. I then went & tried an EV3 & it felt plasticky in comparison. May feel a bit bigger but not as luxurious in trim feel.
Given the choice it’s the Toyota all day for me.
April 9, 2026 at 5:39 pm #351284Many thanks I didn’t know the deign with bigger battery at £1195 is great value
April 9, 2026 at 5:43 pm #351285Metal oxide red orange colour is gorgeous on YouTube road tests in Portugal
April 9, 2026 at 5:53 pm #351287The design has electric boot standard
April 9, 2026 at 6:29 pm #351319Loooks similar to the BZX4 inside, especially from the drivers pov, with too much plastic going on around steering wheel-drivers display. This review mentions the steering wheel can block the drivers display, so something worth checking anyones interested in the car.
Still prefer the more modern/minimalistic look of Kia’s sorry.
April 9, 2026 at 6:59 pm #351689The demo design in grey is outside Loughborough Vertu Toyota the notability man is Ben lovely man very nice to talk too

But at £1195 it’s a bargain I’ve looked on the Toyota notability list and even though the BZ4 isn’t on yet there is a picture of it with the chr+ and the urban cruiser it’s says Toyota motablity on top of the 3 cars ! I won’t comment any further but thanks again it really made my day total surprise I’m on my second CHR hybrid and love it 👍
