Long over due as I’m near a year and a half in, just can’t be arsed with much these days including long posts lol

Another love hate relationship. One of the most comfortable cars I’ve drove, seats and suspension are top. For me anyway, might be a bit soft for some, but I like wallowing along. Decent range, between 240-270 although did get just over 300 once and that’s a first, mind did only get 180 once as I hammered it up and down a motorway on a spin. Headroom and leg room is great all round and boot size is ok, although very big drop in to it. Safety kit and driving aids are great and no bings and bongs, well so low you won’t notice them.

Too many gimmicks tbh, self parking, liquid glass roof, jean Micky jarre. Money that could have been spent getting the basics right.

The lights are atrocious, dangerous in fact. I even had to adjust them up. They were to low on dip, to the fact that we both thought they were off one night, raised them up so full beam now light the tree line up and low is still not far and not very bright. Absolutely crap.

The info screen, software is crap. Just a constant battle between Google and android auto pissing us off. I say us as one user on bakebook stated ‘ I’m pissed off with Android auto and Google fighting for my attention every time I get into the car’. Just always does the opposite of what you want. Goggle is handy but struggles with simple questions, and instructions for car control. Emergency brake, collision alert? Always goes off, mind doesn’t always brake only the odd time.

Wind noise around the mirrors is bad. And the whole interior must be put together with chocolate nuts and bolts, just feckin rattles. Got drivers door fixed and now passenger door has started, and back drivers side door, common problem on them.

Would I recommend, no. But a few simple things would make it a great car. Sort the simple shit out Renault.

Range, comfort, space top notch everything else, poor to crap.

Ps I’m a wee bit laid back with cars so don’t mind as much. I guarantee those of you who are into your cars would find more faults. I had high hopes as I enjoyed the first month’s, but nah.

Ah folks it’s heartbreaking as it could be an absolute cracker, but sort the rattles out which can be done and doubt effects the latest models. And the software which can’t be hard to do with an update. Wind noise? Well next time ya see one have a look at the size of the mirrors, no need to be that big. Mind does seem to be a trait on modern cars.

I forgot about those stupid door handles as I don’t need to do it much. But having to poke your cold wet finger into that wee hole just to pop the handle. Useless and in no way a innovation. I prefer to put my finger… That’s enough lol

Oh and the sound system, well it’s excellent TBF. One of the best I’ve heard. Hmm maybe it’s the base that has loosened all those chocolate nuts n bolts.

Got imagine the new facelift model will have ironed those problems out, then your onto a great car, maybe not a driver’s car but definitely a crusing car. So soft speed bumps are a thing of the past.

            Regards Victor M.

Our Hyundai has no squeaks or rattles (other than the pan roof in very cold weather – which we also had on a previous VW), but it bings and bongs for a pastime, so much so that it spoils the driving experience, even when you’ve supposedly muted some of them 😡
