@Chub an update on the seats, I had read the article a few days ago that Kevin had posted earlier re: that VW are now producing a 5 seat version. The problem was that my dealership after checking their stock of the Tour version and also their online brochure they could only find 4 seater versions. I have contacted Motability who have said they had received from VW that the Tour S Pro was a 5 seater also I chatted online with VW and they assured me it was a 5 seater. Maybe the information has not been passed to the dealerships. After a lot of thought I am going to stick with my present order, my dealership has said if the 5 seater appears in Q2 next week they will amend my order. Hope all the above makes sense.
@Chub. I have just had an email from my VW salesman to now inform me that the ID3 Tour does not have 5 seats. They have just had an order come in to them and all Tour versions have got 4 seats. Sorry about the wrong info. I have had to cancel my order as I cannot have a car with 4 seats. I am going to contact Motability as they have listed the Tour Pro S with 5 seats.
@Chub. I had ordered a different car but the next day once I realised the iD3 Tour Pro S was on the scheme I cancelled my original order without any problem. I did check with the sales guy that it came with 5 seats and he said definitely. The trouble is the VW brochure still has it down as a four seater. The extra miles make me feel a lot happier. I was not too bothered about the sunroof.
Will do @gothitjulie. Yes by the time you change in two years there will be a far greater choice of EVs’ to choose from.
@Chub. The Tour S Pro is now built with 5 seats. It seems they got round the weight problem the car had with the larger capacity batteries, that’s why it’s not fitted with a sunroof.
@Chub After looking at PHEV’s and then the ID3 coming on the scheme I decided I would make the switch to full EV. Due to me starting to have to go to Papworth Hospital starting in July I went for the Tour S Pro because of the range it gives me, I also like the space in the car.. I don’t think we are jumping in to soon, as a lot of the software updates and problems that have been mentioned on the various reviews should have been sorted.
@Intranicity the lead times I have been quoted are 12 to 14 weeks.@Chub. Which one did you order?
@Intranicity. You are right it is confusing, the Mode 3 cable is supplied with the car and the 3 Pin (Granny Cable) is an optional extra which does seem a bit mean. The home wall charger is free through the Motability Scheme who use BP Pulse for the installation and supply of the Wall Charger.
No you are not missing anything or going mad TheSUVGuy.
The Allspace is still on the scheme. Four Diesels and three Petrol versions.
March 8, 2021 at 7:50 pm in reply to: Skoda Enyaq iV on sale now from £31,085, 7,500 miles of free charging #141862I wonder if there is any chance any of the versions getting onto the scheme in Q2? I am able to order this month. I can only hope.
Hi @Stuart. I was worried as I thought you had not received the Soul as it it took so long for you to post the pics onto the Forum. No doubt you were too busy driving the Soul and enjoying yourself. Haha. It is still the best colour. Just looking at the Soul brings a smile to your face. All the best.

That’s amazing the introduction of the Hybrid 300hp fwd 3008 on the scheme. You do wonder how long it will stay on the scheme.
Never looked at the 3008 are they any good. How about space in the rear seats?
Morning Lou.
The sky has been great round our area lately and certainly does brighten your spirits if you’re feeling low.
I took a few photo
of the sky taken from our bedroom window, hope you enjoy it.Take care and hope you get well soon. ??
February 11, 2021 at 2:32 pm in reply to: Manual Choke Do you know what it is & can you drive with it #139561Yeah I remember manual chokes and also learning to drive in the 1970’s in a double-de-clutch landrover in the army. Like you say BigDave having a prosthetic leg hampers you somewhat.
Good one Brydo, I now understand why my good friend from Glasgow always bent down to tie his shoe laces when we got to the bar. ?
@Stuart that’s great news I’m so pleased, I’ll celebrate with a couple of lagers tonight. ? You’ll manage fine I’m sure until the fitting of the wall charger. The saga with BP Chargemaster is nearly at an end. With all the messing around you’ve had I just wonder if I should get my own wall charger installed ready for when I’m able to order in March.
Hallelujah I’m pleased for you Stuart. Be positive everything is going to run smoothly now. ??
Thanks for the updates and Pics Ellie. The various updates on the Kia have been very informative in making up my mind on what Ev I should go for. The only thing is the last photo has created some work for me, as my wife has said could I make some wooden planters like yours to go near the house.
January 29, 2021 at 4:26 pm in reply to: EV why do you want one to save environment or save money #138085@gothitjulie I to thank you for an informative post. After also reading @Stuart and @Ellie posts, I will definitely be going with an EV when I’m able to order in March. I will probably go with the Kia Soul as I don’t need a large car anymore plus I can get every I want with the range of the Kia.
I am due to be able to order in March and have been considering changing to a B200 Premium Plus so I had a chat with our Mercedes Motability Salesman (very honest guy unlike some you hear about on the forum) the other day to find out about the delay in people not receiving their B200 Premium Plus. He tells me your dealers should have informed you that there had been a restriction placed on the Pemium Plus Package. He had received an email last year from Mercedes Head Office and should have been passed on to customers. As far as deposits go on something like the B200 Premium Plus he would only ever take the minimum of £500.00 and the rest paid on delivery of the car. He said also that delivery of the B200 will start in April .
Thanks for that Stuart. I am being swayed by the better range of the Kia, my wife and daughter thinks the styling of the car is great. Hopefully at the end of Feb or beginning of March I’ll be able to get a test drive.
Hopefully your hand over will go ok on the 9th. Is Click and Collect still an option?
Yeah it was taken off. Mercedes haven’t updated their website. Don’t know why it was such a high AP as the car isn’t that much more expensive than a petrol version.
@Stuart. Any news on when the car will appear? Did your home charger finally get fitted? Can’t wait to see your pics.
Not sure whether to go for the ?Kia Soul or the Citroen E4.
When I had a chat with our VW Motability guy a few weeks ago he did not think the iD3 would come onto Q1 or Q2. He said private sales were going very well so didn’t think it would come onto the scheme, he would let me know as soon as he knew. When I spoke to Motability just before Christmas they couldn’t say yes or no to the iD3. I will try on Monday.
