Video worked fine JS. Did you feel like a spy? Did you find out when they may go onto the scheme? It looks a great car.
Thanks JS. The version I suspect will not be on the scheme. Hopefully soon or in Q2 we’ll get to know what’s on the scheme. I’m able to order in March but can’t make my mind up on the Tucson or the Mercedes B200.
Great Pics JS lovely colour. What version is it?
@Alan It sounds like your dealer has not been honest with you on delivery times. I am due to order in March and will be wanting to order the B200 Premium plus so I thought I would ring the Motability guy I deal with at Mercedes to try and find any info on the B200.
He informs me that the dealeship should have said their had been a restriction placed on the Premium Plus so there would be no cars been built with that package. Also there is no availability for the Driver Assist option at all at the present moment.
The dealership quoted you maybe April, that is probably correct as my guy looked on his online schedule, the nearest month that came up for him was April. Sorry but it doesn’t look like good news. Did you have to pay a large deposit? I am lucky that I have a very honest and caring Motabilty Sales person.
Take care and I hope your mobility doesn’t get any worse.
@Landyman. What are you driving?
You are right it all depends on the driver. I’ve been driving automatics for 30 years and always driven ok in the snow and ice. In that time I have only had one 4×4 which was a Honda CRV, like everyone has said it is choosing the right gear and also be gentle on the throttle. Maybe people should have winter driver training.
Merry Christmas and a glorious New Year to all.
Take care and keep safe driving.
Here’s to good news in Qi and 2.
The Mk4 Tucson looks and sounds a good car. If it is going to appear in the UK in spring, I’m hoping it will be on Motability in Q2 as that’s when I’m due to change my Seat Alhambra. Looking for a decent EV or PHEV. I will be testing the new MG HS PHEV for the weekend in the middle of January.
December 18, 2020 at 11:36 am in reply to: EV industry to `take notice’ of lack of accessibility for disabled drivers #132547Hopefully we will start seeing these Charging Hubs in Yorkshire over the next year or two.
I tried to get a test drive in the eC4 and was told there will not have one to drive until January.
December 14, 2020 at 11:34 pm in reply to: New £3.50 charge to drive into Greater London considered #132213@c2clo. Taken from the website. I have been to London a couple of times earlier in the year and have not had to pay.
You don’t have to pay the Congestion Charge or register with us if the vehicle is recorded at the DVLA in one of these categories: Two-wheeled motorbikes (and sidecars) and mopeds. Vehicles used by disabled people that are exempt from vehicle tax and have a ‘disabled’ taxation class. …
Disabled motorists may cross the Dartford Crossing without charge if they are travelling in a vehicle which is exempt from Vehicle Excise Duty (VED).
Hopefully I will get a test drive later this week and then review it on the forum on Friday. ?
It certainly does look good car. Do you think the Hybrid version will come on the scheme? There are no prices out yet?
Brydo, DBtruth I spoke with Volkswagen Motability Salesman re: iD3 today to see if there was a possibility it coming on the scheme in Q1 or Q2, he said he didn’t think it would come onto the scheme for quite some time. He said in Hull private sales are going well for the iD3. I too have seen reviews on YouTube where the complaint was the build quality. I’ve been thinking of an EV for when I change in Q2 but like everybody else I’m finding there is not a great selection. I’m hoping to get a test drive in an Citroen E-C4 to see what it’s like.
Merry Christmas everyone .
Seat Alhambra Excellence 2.0 litre diesel auto. Excellent car. Very comfortable seats. Shame it’s not produced anymore.
I give it 9 points.
