AndyHello .
I love the Mercedes B200 (Premium Plus) and I am looking to order as soon as possible but I’m getting concerned by some of the delivery times I have been quoted.
I am struggling to get a response from the dealer I test drove the car with but I have been quoted April 2021 earliest by 2 other dealers in the same group, and CLA June 2021.
i have a manual 3008 at the minute and need an automatic as soon as possible so can anyone who has ordered a B class give me any idea if these dates quoted are correct.
peugeot factory build is 3 months (bit of a difference) for a 1.2 gt line premium ,which is my other option and has everything I need.
thanks

John NewtonI got quoted the end of October for my B200 but I have a feeling it won’t arrive then

Craig TI had to reorder mine as my original b-class order got culled due to the lockdown. I changed model and have been told that the build date is confirmed for October, with a expected date of delivery for late November/early December.
i originally ordered a B Class Sport b200 auto, but changed to an AMG line premium B180 auto instead.

GordonI ordered a B class 180d AMG auto at the end of December but cancelled the whole thing about a month ago as they couldn’t even tell me if the car would arrive this year! They kept saying that there was no build allocations for the UK.

PJLLead in times of 9 and 11 months!! Motability seriously need to look at relaxing the 3 month notice on vehicle renewal.
July 31, 2020 at 8:18 pm #120872Wow it would be a no for a Mercedes for me.. All four cars i have gotten on the scheme been there and ready for the handover and if i was told it would be longer than that I’d look at other cars and get one of those.

GordonSadly there were no stock cars offered to me. They did check but nothing. They told me it was the 180d engine that was the problem.

Ian MInitially early March for July pickup, but all orders were cancelled with the factory shutdown. I think the B is made in Germany so factories just getting upto speed.
Only source for this info is my dealer but have no reason to doubt them,

Simon PriceWe ordered our B200 premium plus 6 weeks ago for a Early November changeover and were told by our dealer that there were 8 in front of us, so not to expect it before xmas, and look more towards spring, which isnt a deal breaker as we love the car we have an automatic Bmw x1, but really looking forward to our new Merc, as a matter of interest, what colours have people choosen, we went for the digital white

Keith SMercedes-benz Southport can get any model from the factory in 13 weeks, I don’t know why some dealers quote ridiculous waiting times.

IanfcaI was told by a dealer today that GLA premium plus vehicles are not being built at the moment due to a shortage of parts for the premium plus specification, including the sunroof. They told me that they could only estimate a build time for these vehicles of between 6 and 9 months. Not sure how true this is as they were trying to make me sign up for a non premium plus vehicle they had in stock.

Craig TMy B Class AMG line Premium has been confirmed for early November delivery. I originally ordered an Sport one in January, but it got culled in April due to COVID. I reordered it in July but chose a different model instead.

“We’re not taking any orders today“.
lololol. Well done Daz. You obviously found the only Mercedes dealership in the UK right now that is so swamped under with orders that they’re having to turn away swarms of buyers at the door & beat them off with a stick!!!

AlanI ordered mountain grey B200 AMG premium plus in August and was told delivery in 6 weeks, even though it said available in 2 weeks on their website. He said that was a mistake and he would get someone to look at it but it is normally 6 weeks, when he came back with the paperwork after i paid my deposit it said delivery Nov 30th. When i asked about this he said oh don’t worry, we have to put something in that box to complete the paperwork, it should be well before that but we do not get an actual delivery date until we have a confirmed build allocation for your specific car and i walked away thinking i may need to wait longer than i thought but never mind. In early November i was told some delays due to covid but should be here before christmas. December i was told Jan and now am being told MAYBE April.
By the way, as i said earlier it said on their website for AMG Premium plus it was available in two weeks which i pointed out when i ordered it, again in Nov., again in December and today just checked and it still says available in 2 weeks. Why are they deliberately lying to potential customers?
I am sick of it now and just wish they would be straight with me, am i ever going to see my new car and if you don’t know when you can fill my order why are you still collecting the interest on my deposit payment instead of returning it? Maybe they can add some extra options as compensation but i doubt they would even consider it. Maybe i will ask then next time they contact me and tell me more delays. My mobility gets worse as time goes on so i do hope i can get the car before i am no longer able to drive.

GordonHi Alan,
I ordered a B class AMG in December 2019, by June 2020 I was still being lied to about delivery times and there was no sign of it arriving until the end of 2020. Sadly I lost all confidence in the dealership, cancelled and ordered something else instead. It was all very disappointing and quite disgraceful that they wouldn’t give me a straight answer. I can sympathise with you.
January 20, 2021 at 11:23 am #136988@Alan It sounds like your dealer has not been honest with you on delivery times. I am due to order in March and will be wanting to order the B200 Premium plus so I thought I would ring the Motability guy I deal with at Mercedes to try and find any info on the B200.
He informs me that the dealeship should have said their had been a restriction placed on the Premium Plus so there would be no cars been built with that package. Also there is no availability for the Driver Assist option at all at the present moment.
The dealership quoted you maybe April, that is probably correct as my guy looked on his online schedule, the nearest month that came up for him was April. Sorry but it doesn’t look like good news. Did you have to pay a large deposit? I am lucky that I have a very honest and caring Motabilty Sales person.
Take care and I hope your mobility doesn’t get any worse.

Darrell BrightonWe are in exactly the same situation having paid a deposit and ordering a B200 Premium Plus last August. Absolutely no information at all from the dealer. Can someone please explain the allocation system because I don’t understand it. Car production is complex but it comes down to the right part arriving at the production time at the right time. There was a time when firm orders were given priority because there is minimal time between manufacture and receipt of payment. Failure of suppliers to deliver to the right quantity and quality on time would mean heavy fines for the supplier. Somewhere in Germany or perhaps Hungary is a production planner who is managing a backlog of B200 orders and knows when he has each order pencilled in to be built. It would make a lot of people very happy if the production plan was published. Not to worried at the moment because we couldn’t drive anywhere if it was delivered tomorrow. Let’s hope we have a nice new car in our posession for the spring. We all need a lift.
