So, I picked up my Sportline on Monday, compkete with Canton soubd system.
I have to say, personally, the soubd and bass is more than adequate, very rich sound and if played at full volume, would vibrate people outside the xar!
I don’t find anything wrong with mibe
I would prefer uf they 8bsured any options, as any options are not covered with the insurance
I was thinking about this yesterday,if i get an EV and then there is WW3 and electricity is no longer available,a small engined ICE car would do as you would be able to scavenge fuel from lots of places and keep on the move.
Interesting “walking Dead” look at ww3.
As we don’t produce our ien fuel and refineries w9uld ge on the enemus h7t l7st, fuel would be rationed straight away, plus fuels degrade over a short-time six months as I recall, sofurpel woukd fe a short term solution, jot to forget there will be some really nasty people out there making sure they get their hands on it, I would rather obtain a house on a hill (I’ve already scoped one out lol) with solar panels and run an ev than a ice car
We are a three car family, and two are ICE cars, but for very valid reasons, one is my 22 year old’s Fiesta which he us building up his NCB and evs insurance w9ukd be more than the car.
The other is a Range Rover f9r the wife’s equestrian work and towing.
Have you got any costs for you to fit your iwn charger?
There will be a Skoda version, it was shown in profile last year.February 20, 2024 at 4:26 pm in reply to: The mythical 2wd Enyaq 85 Sportline plus does exist! #258911

Just back from the dealership.
After checking tge car, I have accepted the car with the 2wd, as every other option is correct.
They are going to fit a front and rear dashcam for free, woukd have cost £600, so happy with that
Arranged to pick it up on Monday. The number plate is just f9r moving the car, my personal7sed plate will be fitted before Monday.February 20, 2024 at 10:12 am in reply to: The mythical 2wd Enyaq 85 Sportline plus does exist! #258864
Had a call from the dealership yesterday evening to say the car has arrived, so I’m off to go round it with the dealer to make sure its not missing anything else apart from the second drive.
Wish me luck lol
Have you tried a straight charge from tge ohme without timing set? If that works, ir might fe an issue between any timed settings in tge app and the carFebruary 16, 2024 at 12:55 pm in reply to: The mythical 2wd Enyaq 85 Sportline plus does exist! #258593
I know! It’s bizarre and goes against everything we get told, I.e. only cars that appear on tge Motabiluty website can be ordered, as this will never appear.
I’m m8re irritated than anything else, that I believe skoda, dealer or manufacturer have known since at least week 2 what was being built and have left ut until uts almost at tge dealers.
Gives the wife an excuse to hold off until tge Suvarus appear next quarter lolFebruary 16, 2024 at 11:47 am in reply to: The mythical 2wd Enyaq 85 Sportline plus does exist! #258586
Have you rang or email Skoda UK
No, not yet, I’ve spoken to Motability in the first case and they seem confused what the AP is so they told me it’s the same as the X, but tge X us £400 more afairFebruary 16, 2024 at 11:21 am in reply to: The mythical 2wd Enyaq 85 Sportline plus does exist! #258581
The only difference will be the missing (not proper) 4 wheel drive. On the other hand you will get a bit more range out of the battery as a result! 🙂
I’m more concerned that the options I have ordered might be missing.February 16, 2024 at 11:19 am in reply to: The mythical 2wd Enyaq 85 Sportline plus does exist! #258580
After all the arguments saying it didn’t exist, it turns out you have one on the way. Classic!
Some may say Karma lol.
However, I didn’t order a 2wd sportline 80, I ordered an 80X, which was confirmed to be updated to the 85X. the inability to deliver what I ordered and instead, has delivered a car that doesn’t exist in Motability’s list, nor Skoda UK website is incompetence.
There are plenty if articles, including JF Piwer and videos showing tge shocking quality if Tesla care,
Here is one to get you starter
35 years in Materials Engineering, Financial Warranty Recovery, Module Leader Transmission and Drivelines, Hew Model Launch Co Ordinator, and development of various cars from mini, various saloons and estates, 4x4s and very expensive hand built sports cars.
We did teardowns if many competitors cars including Teslas and Toyotas I have visited many car manufacturing plants, including Toyota City, Honda, Mazda, Nissan in Japan, Ford in Dearborbe and various German plants.
Toyota are nit at tge forefront of manufacturing, rather, like the corrola, find a process that works and sticks with ut. They failed to see the push towards evs and have been rushing to catch up.
I will say again, the reason Teslas are so expensive to repair us because of poor engineering design.
What’s your knowledge apart from Internet reading?
Teslas are I ho very poorly engineered, if you look behind the glass of tge fast charging and some fast speeds, the actual design does nothing for engineering repairs.
Cars are designed, nit just for ease of assembly, but also ease of repair, crash cans, chassis assy etc,
One reason Tesla won’t cone onto tge scheme us the huge costs of repair, mainly in tge thousands, also they don’t keep stocks of parts to repair, there are people buying crashed usa teslas to bring to Europe to strip tor repairs as lead times are in months
You can have my Superb estate in a month, when I change to tge Enyaq lol.
Been an excellent car, no issues whatsoever
