My Skoda Enyaq went to the garage (again). This time for some software update. Sadly the dealer couldn’t complete it in one day and advised I shall book at least for two-three days.
I called Motability as usual to book a car with adaptation from Proximo and whilst waiting online, their recorded message kept playing they do not offer any replacement vehicle if the car in the garage for less than TWO days and they recommend to ask friends and family for a help.
Once answered, I was told that since July this year Motability sourced the courtesy vehicles to RAC and I should call them. RAC, including their shift manager, insisted that up to THREE days they do not issue vehicles. Then the manager went even further – because the vehicle goes into the garage for a type of a recall (software updates or upgrades they treat as a recall) I won’t be eligible even if the car would go for 30 days.
I couldn’t care less – I am OK with the old software, but it shows they are getting worse by the day. In my mind at least.
