Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

New world launch of the next Enyaq this Wednesday
January 6, 2025 at 4:46 pm #295862The new Enyaq also delivers an extended range, thanks in part to optimised aerodynamics, alongside more sustainable materials and extensive standard equipment.
I think the current 85 none x estate is 359 miles, what are we thinking this is extended to, my guess will be 375 miles.

part to optimised aerodynamics = active air flaps?
The little “streched” cube lights on the grill and matrix headlights, reminds me of Hyundai Ioniq styling lol.
January 6, 2025 at 8:18 pm #295864I have to order a car by the end of February and I am pretty set on a Enyaq 85x Sportline but as there’s a facelift about to be announced this has thrown me as don’t want to order a car that’s about to be updated or do we think new orders might get the facelift (I’m guessing that’s probably a complete shot in the dark)?
January 6, 2025 at 8:42 pm #295866We ordered January last year and got the July update in 2024. I would guess it will be like last year and they’ll carry a lot of orders over to the new model, unless there’s lots of stock of the older one in which case the dealers may start giving decent discounts on AP.

January 6, 2025 at 8:52 pm #295867I’m thinking the approach is to order as late as I can and make sure I order a configuration that’s not in stock and hope I get a new model. Suppose it depends on the current wait times on builds
January 6, 2025 at 9:25 pm #295869Production model changeover is usually done around week 39 when the factory closes, the current 85 series Enyaqs were announced around April 2023 (if I recall correctly) then started arriving into the UK late November-early December 2023.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
January 6, 2025 at 9:35 pm #295870Ordering late February is probably a bit too early then shame I’ll have to choose something else (very fickle I know).
January 7, 2025 at 12:29 am #295873I only hope those able to order in the near future and choose an Enyak, don’t get caught up in the same situation, as happened last time.
January 7, 2025 at 7:35 pm #295879After a long talk with Skoda UK today they’ve said that following the release tomorrow costs and order windows will be released.
January 8, 2025 at 10:15 am #295881To me, the front end of the new car is a massive improvement. Everything else is pretty much the same on the new facelift version.

January 8, 2025 at 10:24 am #295882I’m really struggling to see the benefits for the facelift given that the Elroq is there now. Skoda have basically made the enyaq a bigger elroq and I’m not sure if they will struggle now with sales given the new tax rules on vehicles over 40k. I’ve a feeling that the elroq will take over as the preferred model for sale in 2025 and that the Enyaq will need a bigger change to give it the appeal for buyers.
Font get me wrong, I’m not saying that the facelift is ugly or anything like that but Skoda should be concentrating at listening to its users. I’m not sure how many people have called out for “dark chrome” or a “tech deck”. I’d be happy if I can precondition my car but my 12v system is utterly pants.
the biggest advantage of the facelift for me is removing the black gloss inside. Other than that, none of its interesting me. It’ll disappoint private buyers more who will again see the values of their pre facelift cars plummet as people seek the “newest shape” .

January 8, 2025 at 4:28 pm #295892So, th3 face-lift is purely external cosmetic. The interior is the same and the drive train and battery were refreshed last year.
So you get a newer front by waiting.
You might as well 8rde4 now than wait as the luet might be smaller once orders for the face-lift start to cone in
January 9, 2025 at 11:56 am #295917Production model changeover is usually done around week 39 when the factory closes, the current 85 series Enyaqs were announced around April 2023 (if I recall correctly) then started arriving into the UK late November-early December 2023.
The press release confirming factory changeover to the 85 didn’t come out until September 23 and factory production commenced in November. New cars arrived in the UK in January. I got one of the first.
There was uproar from customers as the changes didn’t occur during the shut down as they had in the past.
I ordered an 80 and got an 85 as it was purely down to when your build week was and not when you ordered.
Order books for the facelift open January 9th in “some” EU markets according to the press release . Germany where taking orders for the 85 a month before the factory changed over.
With what is a minor facelift who knows as Skoda are not the best at communicating and their dealers are useless
January 9, 2025 at 11:59 am #295918Order books have now opened for the facelift and the configurator has been updated to match.
January 9, 2025 at 4:57 pm #295931I have my enyaq set up to warm the car ( and the battery?) to 20c at 7:30am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday but tonight when I went out to the car tonight ,it hadn’t warmed the car up – has anyone else experienced this and if so do you know a fix? Thanks in advance

January 9, 2025 at 5:03 pm #295932It’s a growing issue. The cold weather is shining a spotlight on a woefully inadequate 12v battery in the car. Skoda is aware of the issue and say they’ve made service partners aware. Your car won’t have charged most likely because the 12v battery wasn’t strong enough to trigger it. You may also now start to see other stuff happening like keyless entry stopping and interior lights not illuminating when opening the car. The app also will start to give error messages aboutv12v battery exceeded. It’ll stop you from using features like pre warning to protect the battery.
I hate to think how people in Norway and Sweden and coping with their cars in the winter given this oversight from Skoda!!

January 10, 2025 at 10:46 am #295973Yes, the app is down. Something to do with the servers. It’s been on and off since yesterday afternoon. It’s also affecting some Cupra’s as well so must be a bigger VW issue.
January 10, 2025 at 10:51 am #295976Just checked Reddit and it appears the VW id models are also affected.
So it’s back to good old fashioned defrosting this morning by having to actually go outside to start the heater.
January 10, 2025 at 10:59 am #295977My dads been having issues with his audi q4 etron app on and off for over a week now, he had to keep going into the car and manually setting up a preheat for when hes going out.
He said the audi app is very poor even when it is working with hardly any options and from his experience of the car over 6 months he regrets swapping his kia ev6 and he couldn’t believe how good my ioniq 5 is too in comparison

I wasn’t looking for that info, but I was going to. So thank you for the info, I’ll stop cursing now!
