Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

It’s a recurring issue, been happening for months if not years with the VW/Skoda servers going down.
This isn’t the 12v battery issue, it’s a server outage (yet again).
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
January 10, 2025 at 1:24 pm #295981I ordered my Enyaq 85X Sportline in Dec 2024 prior to learning about the new face lift. I asked the skoda rep about this and their response:
“Your car will be built as “pre-facelift” The facelift car has just been announced, with build starting in April. It is not yet on Motability. I am sure it will be added but not until stock of current car has cleared.”
Hopefully helps folk who are thinking about purchasing the Enyaq.
Also – haven’t seen the Q1 2025 motability range released from Skoda on their website yet (but can see the prices have slightly changed on the motability website vs the Q4 24 offerings)
January 10, 2025 at 5:03 pm #296013Last nite my car kept phoning Skoda,i kept on tapping the red phone symbol to end the call and a few seconds later it did it again and again and again, doing my head in…got to my destination turned car off left car for about 20 mins, come back started car car and the fault had stopped.
I am also unable to connect to the car with the Skoda app (android phone) has worked pefectly until today.
Sportline 85x on a 74plate.
Is there a fix for this issue ?
January 10, 2025 at 5:48 pm #296015Which issue? the phone or the app connection?
A lot of the VW/Skoda in-car tech fails frquently during the cold, various things like seat heaters, SoS systems, front Assist, internal lights etc. etc. Most of those faults clear after shutting down the car and re-starting the system. The App connection is usually down to the servers being off line or the 12v battery being too discharged for the cars systems to work.
The cars are mechanically pretty well built but the electronics/operating system is remarkably poor and VW/Skoda’s response is to say just live with it and we’ll fix it in the next software issue. Unfortunately this isn’t always (or usually) the case.
The early Enyaq buyers are still running software they had when they bought the car over 2 years ago, many are waiting for an upgrade to version 3.7 in the older 60/80 models. Those are also unable to get the newer version 4.x or 5.x software that was in the early 85 series as the cars hardware isn’t compatible.
My 1yr old 85x has v4.0, that too has been superceeded to 4.1, then 5.2 and now 5.4. Again there’s very little evidence of those on V4 getting an upgrade to the (hopefully) improved v4.1, 5.2 or 5.4 software.
It’s not just a few users that have issues, only a very small percentage report them in online forums, but when they do you can see the same issues reported time and time again. Look at the charging flap issue, this has been reported for years and VW/Skoda are still making cars with the same known problematic design, they simply don’t care.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
January 10, 2025 at 6:00 pm #296017The App is not connecting to the car so I cannot do pre heating.
January 10, 2025 at 8:24 pm #296022Servers hav~ been down it’s not you nor the car it’s on VAG.
From what I’ve read it’s unknown is ME5 will be back ported to MY24 and before. MY25 and MY24 have different control units apparently the 25 gets remote app unlocking.
Thing is with updates when you buy a car or computer you buy it for what it can do there and then not what might be added via software at a later date. Bug fixes is one thing you have a right to expect but not really sure why everyone suddenly expects all next gen software to hit their existing cars. Same with mobile phones when an update comes out adding new features on your phone doesnt get it but it never had it so why do we expect this stuff now.
Mines been on 4.1 since delivery. 5 seems to take away HUD customisation so if you have one it’s be a downgrade. I’d rather mines left alone, everything works right now.
Only problem I’ve had is the odd camera blocked message when it’s cold but a quick wipe fixes that don’t even need a restart just tap on the errors and they clear

January 10, 2025 at 9:13 pm #296026You can do preheating by setting departure time in the car without the app. Yeah it’s not as convenient but it does work
January 10, 2025 at 9:44 pm #296028My pre-heating schedule is set up in the car, but it still isn’t working unless plugged into the charger since this cold snap. People are saying it’s the 12v battery running low. Not sure how many miles are needed to charge the 12v battery.

January 11, 2025 at 12:41 am #296029Skoda app is now working from when i checked it about 7pm and is still working now as i started a charging cycle.
Ohme app on phone is playing up now, first time its ever asked me to accept t&c’s and login..ive tried using email and signing in with google….nothing happens.
I really hate things that dont work as they should, Grrrrrrrrr.
January 11, 2025 at 12:08 pm #296032Hi I just received our Enyaq 85X Sport line on Thursday 9th January 2025 after waiting 6 months and handing in a perfectly great car VW Tiguan, this Skoda will be our first electric car and we will do our first charge on Sunday 12th I was trying to contact Ohme as our tariff isn’t on there app but no luck there then any suggestions on what to pick on the app should be appreciated, apart from that the drive is superb when put in sports mode in fact just as great as my VH Antara and our Ford Explorer takes the bends nicely as we are semi rural.
January 11, 2025 at 1:07 pm #296036@Rich44 5.2 has been in MY24 builds for a while now, I beleive I also saw a post on the FB group with a new owner getting 5.4
There are 100’s if not more 80 & 60 owners who have been promised the upgrade to 3.7 but it’s taking months if not longer and in a some cases even when being done at a dealer it’s bricked the car 🙁
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
January 11, 2025 at 3:04 pm #296041I have just seen the Enyaq Facelift and I think it looks superb, very very nice, I didn’t like the previous front grille. If motability pick up this vehicle with 4×4 like with the present Enyaq it will be a very strong contender for my 1st motability vehicle. Anybody got thoughts on a date for the UK release?
January 11, 2025 at 3:45 pm #296043I’ve been told by my dealer that the facelift is due to enter production mid to end of Feb this year, so would imagine that orders after that date will be for the facelift. My earliest order date is 13th March, so I would expect it to be the facelift, but how that sits with the current pricing I’m not sure.
He said that there will be revised pricing for the facelift, hasn’t been released yet. So even though the current quarter price for the Edition 85 of £1299AP stands, whether you will still be able to order at this price until the end of March I’m not sure. Also telling that Skoda still haven’t made this quarter’s prices available as a PDF to download on their own website yet, still the previous quarter’s information.
January 11, 2025 at 4:06 pm #296044My order for an 85X Coupe was submitted to the dealer in late November and I was given an indicative delivery date of March/April. I’ve heard nothing from the dealership since placing the order and paying some of the deposit. Not sure if I’ll get old or new model now… if they start building the updated model in February, would they also still be building the old model or does all production change to updated shape?
January 11, 2025 at 4:16 pm #296045Thanks;-)
January 11, 2025 at 5:14 pm #296047@Blindrat Nobody knows for certain.
When production of the older 80 series changed over to the 85 series there were quite a few cross-over cars built with odd specifications that turned up, part 80-part 85 series. One thing for sure is that Skoda will prioritise shipping/selling off existing stock wherever possible before supplying the MY25 facelift versions.

January 12, 2025 at 11:28 am #296077We had the first experience of the charger door cover not opening this morning. Mirrors had folded out so car was unlocked but hatch would not open, I locked and unlocked once and it opened. Car is 4 months old, hoping it’s a one off.

Enyaq EV
January 12, 2025 at 4:22 pm #296094We have to have an order in place by the 21st January and at the m0ment it’s between an Enyaq 85X and a Renault Scenic e-tech Iconic. The other stipulation is we have to be in the new vehicle by the 7th April at the latest or we will be left with no vehicle as the hire car is only available for 90 days from date of total loss. Open to other suggestions but has to be fully electric and be around the same boot capacity as the Enyaq or Scenic.
Cheers
Dave
January 12, 2025 at 6:48 pm #296097Don’t worry about that 90 day thing they say that but go to the CEO office and they’ll assign someone to manage your case. Don’t bother with the script monkeys on the phone they’re USELESS.
Honestly I had all this stress etc over being left high and dry the CEO office sorted it all. Thing is delivery times are not your fault or problem. If they don’t like it they should go find you the car themselves.
Just put your order in then go to the ceo with the details and they’ll sort it for you.
The charge flap does happen sometimes it’s happened to me maybe 3 times since late July no big deal just lock and unlock fixes it, maybe the pin gets stuck and the current thru the solenoid isn’t enough to move it the first time it’s happened so infrequently it’s not worth worrying about tbh

January 12, 2025 at 8:45 pm #296110Cheers Rich does feel a bit like you’re painted into a corner with only two weeks to order and then the 90 day wait. Got the Ioniq 5 N Line in the list now as well.
January 12, 2025 at 11:08 pm #296116Yup they messed me about nearly 2 months before writing my car off and I ordered within 3 days of getting permission. So I said to the ceo why am I getting punished when I did my bit, they must’ve known for weeks they were writing it off. On top of that they didn’t ask for the excess straight away they waited 6 weeks and demanded it at 8am on a Saturday morning just before Christmas 2023 when I asked them to call back on Monday they went hysterical and threatened to complain to motability and get me booted off the scheme.
I got an apology and the excess back in the end because of it but still really upset me.
Do email the ceo tho to make sure you don’t lose the hire car
January 13, 2025 at 11:10 am #296141The App is down again.
