Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.

So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

Long run over the weekend,  economy was way better than expected,  4.5 on motorways, equated to range of 350 miles. Very comfortable,  constant traffic camera warnings a little irritating but its a big thumbs up overall. HUD excellent,  no need to take eyes off the road. Did a quick fast charge, at 125kw, added 9kw in about 5 mins. No range anxiety and charging infrastructure far better than in 2022. One other irritation,  I have been asked to fill in 4 surveys so far!

All sounds good – I haven’t done a long journey yet – indeed I’m yet to plug it in.
When I got the car it was reading 465 mls with 99% battery – I wish – so want to take battery to under 20% before charging – hopefully then I will get some realistic figures when I take it on a longer run.

If I’m on a longer run and mainly motorway 70mph – anything over 3.8 I will be happy with – if it’s 4 or over fantastic – we will see.

Is it normal to wait for a year?

On the 1st of August we finally bit the bullet and ordered a Sportline 85x with the maxx pack of Citygate Skoda in Slough. I was told early February. They said it’s a factory order so it’s 26 weeks. I was hoping it’d be on time for our lease in mid October.

Is it silly to think they may deliver earlier than what they say then. Should I expect any further delays?

Ordered the exact model/spec in late April.  Took 11 weeks from order to delivery. Hope that helps.

Ok that’s good. I’m hoping it’s a bit of under promise and over deliver situation then.

Great to hear that you’re enjoying your Enyaq. Your efficiency of 4.5miles per kwh on the motorway sounds very nice. I struggle to get that with the Kona at the moment. I’ll be happy with 3.5 to 4 and probably less than 3 in the winter.

With my MY24 85x I never got below 3miles per kwh all last winter. As long as you use all the tricks you can keep it above 3. When it’s cold I always use the preconditioning as not only will it warm the car, steering wheel and seats but it will also preheat the battery. Use the departure time plans and the entire car will be at temp and ready to go.

I found using the departure time made a big difference if its quite cold

Hi all, had Enyaq since May and constantly getting 4.5 ml Kw.

Does anyone know how to set up drivers seat so it moves automatically on entry and exit?

                          Thanks, Regards, wonky

In the ifotainment under vehicle settings look for seats…easy entry.

Hi fwippers – off to Wales tomorrow – round trip 250 miles – when you got 4.5 on the motorway what speed were you doing  – will be interesting to compare – I will have music and aircon on tho !!

I did 65mph, plus the usual speed reduction for roadworks.  Im averaging 4.3 after 500 miles of mixed, which equates to a range of about 335. Have managed 5 on a short journey around town.

That’s what I used to do with Kona and either heated or ventilated seats – very much focused on max return on battery – tomorrow  – traffic allowing I will try to do 70 and aircon  as well as music – will let you know the outcome – anything over 3.8 will meet my needs.

Looked at 85x sportline in meteor grey today and pretty certain it’ll be my next MB  car.

Just wondering if anyone had any experience of getting discount on options?

I don’t think discounts really happen anymore except the dealer level stuff like scotchguard etc.

Skoda seem to have the attitude we can sell everything we make so….

No harm in asking or phoning around and asking but I’ve not seen anything outside of any offers on inclusive options on Motability website

                                      Good luck tho

Discount on options..you can always ask.

What options are you considering ?

I went for the  Velvet Red exclusive paint it is exclusive allright you wont see another Enyak dressed up in it,but its a lovely colour, btw it does cost over £1000 but you dont pay the whole amount they take the standard colours cost away from it,so it costs just under £400

The other option  i went with are the 21″ supernova alloys, absolutely gorgeous, they are just under £700.

Ive lost count of the people walking past me and the car..saying that looks good mate

Not looking at anything specific, possibly the 21″ wheels but seen it reduces range so not sure.

Also pan roof more likely but not at £1100 😀

Try driving on the 20s first if you can. I have those and unless the roads you’re on are pretty good I’d imagine 21s would be a bit harsh we are coastal rural do our roads are trash. The 21s look great just when the sidewall gets that small there’s not a lot of give for comfort ifkwim.

Panroof is lovely and I miss that from the STANDARD on my cheapo MG ZS EV awesome for spotting birds of prey like Buzzards and Red Kites etc

So I have 20″ wheels on my Enyaq and my wife has 21″s on hers.  There is definitely a difference in comfort and ride quality.

It’s each to their own I suppose but it’s worth considering as there’s more to 21″ wheels than just looks.

Red looks great, but the price will depend on the dealer. When I ordered mine, the dealer was adamant that I would have to pay the full cost of the paint, not a reduced amount. “we found that out to our cost” he explained.

If it’s important to you, you can always try a different dealer network and ask them.

Re options reduction. I’ve not had a reduction in years, but again, if you dont ask, you dont get.

Skoda changed to a direct sales model last year.

This took away any control dealers have over discounts on cars or options as they lost their flexibility as Skoda controls pricing.

Under the old system a dealer would buy stock from Skoda then sell it to you for whatever they liked to make a profit.

Now the dealers are basically sales agents for Skoda.

So unless Skoda offers a deal then I think the days of dealer discounts may be gone.
