And Badenoch and Farage both think that pumping more oil out of the NS onto the world wholesale markets will bring the price of Oil/Gas down…. and make the UK safe from these sorts of spikes whenever wars kick off.
Of course, that info on the Motaclarity website is just pure speculation. Some of those cars may appear on the scheme. Many won’t. They don’t have any advance information, they are just guessing, as we do. It’s only news when a car actually joins the scheme. I don’t know if they still do it, but Motability used to have an internal list of cars that were being considered for the scheme and they would read it out to you if you asked. However, many of those cars never made the scheme either! I remember them telling me once that the Toyota Highlander was being considered, but that never happened! Plus, many of us will remember that the Range Rover Evoque was about to join (we’d even seen the Land Rover press ads for it joining Motability) and that never happened either! Of course, it would be too ‘premium’ for it to be allowed on the scheme now, even though it’s made in the U.K.
Not all speculation…look at the bottom of each cars description some say TBC…some say Order Now.
Hi All, I think we are missing the point of this forum. What new cars are coming onto the MB scheme and what do we want ???? There is soooo little action recently that even this forum is becoming a defunct platform! Does anyone know anything ??? Any REAL news greatly appreciated.
P
Seriously……..new car news is out there.
@Fartoostrong does your current lease car suit your needs perfectly now ? if it does why not go back to the grants team and tell them that you would prefer to keep your current car and extend for another 2 years, others on this forum have done that exact thing.
Dont be tempted to put £3,000 on a credit card unless it is on a card with a substantial interest free term,24 month or longer, and you can afford the monthly repayments.
CEO…the customers voice will be front and centre………oh yeh.
The voices that have had an impact on Motability of how/what it provides has been the scaremongerers in the press and the video media….they squealed and the Govt acted.
Its a race to the bottom.
@TAW….looks like you have been done for the GCB..its one of those things you live and learn from and it cost you £250…..i’ll give you and example of someone i know who has a Kia on the scheme its just coming upto 2 years that they have had the car..in that time it has had ONE wash and that was done at Kia while it had some work done….in the first year that they had the car i noticed the car had had a scrape done down the drivers side of the car from the rear quarter to drivers door…..next time i saw one of them i asked how the damage had been done and she said she had’nt noticed it but would mention to her fella (driver)..next time i saw her she said he knew about it but was not bothered about getting it fixed,i estimate the whole side of the car will need repainting. The paint scrape damage is difficult to see under all the grime and i guess they are hoping the dealer does not notice it when it come to handover and they will get the £250 without having to have spent the £100 excess for the insurance claim.
Thats a shining example between you @TAW who cares for the car ….and they who dont give a monkeys.
Charger is back online now,it must have happened 2.30am and 8.00am….wonder if it was the Ohme engineers who were hunting a small number of chargers that were offline or the last reset by the lady on the phone.
@Rene i will have a look at the charging side of the car in the infotainment to see if you can schedule charging…..ive never explored it as ive always depended on Ohme App.@kezo just checked and car is charging at 7kw and car % limit is set to 80% so hopefully car will stop charging at that point all within the cheap charging tariff which ends at 5am.
All done with charger offline and Ohme app offline.
I will phone Motability and let them know about Ohme’s phaffing in morning.
@kezo good advice…….can i just ask you..she said i could still charge my…should i enable the (charge my car immediately to 80%) on the screen in the car….and then plug the charger to the car and the car will stop charging when it reaches the 80%..is that how it works.
Spoke to Ohme again and this lady says she will reset the charger again and could i go and switch the power off and do another powercycle and leave it for 24 hours….if still same they will do another one of those adjustments to the sim…..she did say i should still be able to charge the car but not via the app.
I wonder at what point do they say we will send an engineer to fit another charger.
I hope they can fix it.its still under the 3 year warranty… i have only ever done home charging and cant see the point of paying 79p at my nearest public charger.
Still same after what they did with the sim carrier.
Just contacting OHME support as she suggested if the issue continued..and they have a recorded message on the line….”we are aware of a small number of chargers that are currently offline..our engineers are working to resolve the issue”
Anyone else “offline”
As per title, what did you order?
An Enyaq sportline
Best EV on Motability by a country mile..even at its current AP.
Had mine since late June and it has been a joy to drive.

I put an order in for a Mach E last year…and then cancelled it all because i had a good think about the finger tip door handles and how i would open the doors in a howling wind blowing against the door..my arthritic fingers/hand/wrist would not have a hope of opening the car door…and i would never have a car with the hidden door handles.
Any car with the tried and tested full hand grip handles for me.

Sent my PIP 10yr light touch review form back about 8 weeks ago Had a text a few days ago Decision has been made and a letter is expected in the next 2 weeks Just posting the possible time scale to help others in the same situation
Are you a pensioner ?
Facelift Enyak Sportline 4×4 first drive in 3 inch deep snow last nite, car has 21″ supernova wheels with Pirelli rubber……….i live in a very hilly area of Sheffield…….drive mode “traction” and select engage “B”….off i went car never slipped once …driving style gentle on the go pedal…..passed other cars stuck or being pushed.
There are some reyt nutters about at 11pm to 12am……saw one idiot doing donuts on a main road in a Suzuki Jimny…..had one in a Mini do an exit stage left from the outside lane of dual carriageway across me …at a traffic light controlled junction onto the wrong side of the road.
The only paint you will be charged for at Skoda is the exclusive Velvet Red,i have Velvet Red on my car its an option for the Sportline i was charged the cost difference …not the full price.
The Corolla is the fav car of choice of private hire taxi drivers where i live, you can only get the 122bhp car on the scheme currently……taxi drivers dont like unreliable cars that tells you summat.
Have you ruled out going full EV…..if you havent go and have a look at the Skoda Enyak Estate.
How does Motability know how many miles your car has done ?
Servicing and MOT probably.
Extensions only happen probably in the 3 months leading up to the current lease expiring at 3 years and MOT only happens at 3 years too , my cars servicing schedule happens at 24 months i gather that time frame is common with other manufacturers….. only the “op” knows the answer.
I had my MOT reminder between Christmas and New year. It’s been booked in and done now. My 3 month window doesn’t open till a week tomorrow. Servicing is when ever they send a letter or email to me.
Is your car older than 3 years ? are you into an extension period with your car ? I’m confused with what you said previously.
I ask because you say that your car has had its MOT done now..yet your 3 month window does not open until next week.
New cars that are coming upto 3 years old can have their “first” MOT done one month minus a day before the 3rd year anniversary date.
Im so glad i no longer have to queue at a petrol station for fuel.
Driving an EV is so relaxing not listening for some strange rattle from the engine bay…wondering if my DPF is going to get stuffed.

Looking at the current prices i’m just so glad i had to end my previous lease early (Admin fee £250) in Jun 25 for the Skoda Enyak Sportline 85x (facelift)……have you seen how much the AP is now….£5799.

For someone who passed his driving test 1st time ..in those days you had to use hand signals as turning indicators….the evolving of “some” car tech was greeted warmly by me.
To the question about cameras..rear facing ..front facing…side facing…they are a great aid when manouvering your car…..the 360 camera system in the facelifted Enyak is very good..i would rather have it than not have it.
