The match loses heated seats except on the gtx which is currently not an option ( I believe the pro style equals the match pro 4 motion). That’s a deal breaker.
HOWEVER my superb dealer has said there’s tons of pro styles in the system and they’ll order me a stock model even though my lease end is beginning May. So I’m going in Monday.
what’s the odds that the model disappears Monday morning and I’m back to the drawing board !!
I’m starting to give up and think I’ll just extend my lease. I was going to order q4 but I can’t get past the manual seat adjustment. Ditto ID5 . At least on ID4 it’s an option.
Looked at the q4 yesterday and wasn’t impressed with the kit – no heated steering wheel, blind spot mirrors and only manual seats as you point out.
I loved it so much that I’d have probably stumped up for an option to add it on top of the AP. Even now I’m second guessing myself. But that’s ( in my opinion) a ridiculous amount of money to spend to get something which is standard elsewhere. I can’t justify it.

DWP have advised they’ll be sending me an extension out however motability just told me they’d removed the 12 month requirement for those on the scheme as they’re aware of the huge backlogs DWP are dealing with.
I have one month left and I’m allowed to order. Albeit my lease is at its end
Yes I’ve been told the same this forum was very helpful and then I got it confirmed from motability to be sure. Less than 12 months no longer a barrier if existing customer.

I’m going to follow this thread with interest. I’m massively intrigued with its driverless capability. I’ve not dared go to view it as the AP just rules it out for me.
Congratulations Des. I’ve fallen for the iD5 in the same way after thinking I’d for sure be ordering the Q4 Quattro tomorrow. Something about it just got to me and it felt fun and lovely to look at and sit in. I went to Peugeot yesterday too understanding that the electric 3008 isn’t going to be far removed from the current model ( but better) and it’s a beautiful car and a great car maker. I completely understand why you’d order it without test drive as we are lucky in that we can change our minds up to delivery date ( not that I think you will) . It’s beautiful and I’m a little bit jealous:-)
I used the chat box this morning it was quick and helpful
Just rang a vw dealership and they told me that id4 style is not available to order full stop. So not even giving an option to order and maybe get a match instead? Has anyone else looked into this further with a dealer?
dealer said the same to me. So I rang motability this morning and they said Volkswagen haven’t advised them of any change to models and we should be able to order as normal. Dealer says they simply cannot. I wonder if we can order from stock?

Well. Now I’m confused. I test drove the ID4 yesterday and it’s a lovely car. Does it feel as large and squishy and posh as the Q4? No. But I far preferred it to the Enyaq. The dash was intuitive and easy to use compared to the Enyaq which seemed to have stuff everywhere and weird rolling switches. The id4 drove well and was comfortable. Again no electrically adjustable seats but they are at least available. And the AP after the GCB and NCP is probably circa £500 compared to the £3000 on the Q4. For a really good car you’d have to be quite spoilt not to be pleased with. EXCEPT no one now knows what or how we order it as according to VW the life and style are gone but they’re still the only ordering options on motability.

Power memory seats are available on the GT as an extra at £1600 I think you get other stuff in the pack too.
Thanks @peterf I’ll definitely do some digging with the dealer ( who is being really helpful and knowledgeable) tomorrow.
@mlh it’s such a big deal to me my husband and myself will be sharing the car driving and he’s 6ft 7 so it’ll be adjusted every single time one or other of us gets in.need to mull.
Thanks @mlh I’m test driving id4 tomorrow so I’ll see what they say. Although I’m in love with the Q4 I still can’t get lack of electric adjustable seats out of my mind
Do any of the ID4 options include electrically adjustable front seats? I’ve checked the configuration tool but I’m finding it confusing to follow
When people talk about how much money they will save by running an EV, in addition to factoring in the (usually) higher AP cost, do they also factor in the cost of all the food and drink stops that they will now need to start making as a result of having to stop to charge on longer journeys? Just asking for a friend ? ?
FREE GREGGS!!! 🙂
Phaedra, and next time you’ll be able to get your free Greggs drink with Octopus rewards each week…
FREE GREGGS??!! Well if I had any lingering doubts about EV they’ve gone now!
@Masky Thanks for that. It sounds like one hell of a lot of hassle just to make a not particularly long journey, but you seem to have taken it all in your stride. It just goes to show how much work still needs to be done to improve the charging infrastructure and why, for many, it would be off putting.
interestingly I thought the opposite. yes, this journey took effort but now we are aware we’d have the pulse app ready and preloaded and if it were to be repeated you’d be able to charge cheaply in the car park while you got on with the shopping. It’s just a case of learning the new way of doing things.
Handover dates. What happens if your new car is available after your order window opens but before the lease handover date? Is the handover date set in stone as the first date you could take delivery of the new car? Even if it’s available from stock?
Thanks @masky that’s great info. Am downloading BP Pulse, zap map and Tesla does that cover all the chargers we would need? I note we get a type two charger with the car is that 50kw?
Hi My PIP was due for review last October, form has been submitted and advised there’s a backlog. Question is my Mob car’s 5 year extended contract ends in July. What happens if my pip still hasn’t been reviewed?
if you’re already on the scheme they’re letting you order. Technically I only have one month left on mine but the DWP backlogs mean my pip is likely to be extended. Motability have confirmed even without the extension I can re order.
have you considered or are you worried about the RWD in winter especially with the high torque of the APP550 motors and the 85 Edition is not AWD[/quote]
excellent question. Yes , we live rurally and do get snowed in and having been housebound before for days because our cars were RWD and couldn’t even get off our slightly uphill driveway we always have at least one 4×4 in the household. I was told the Enyaq all wheel drive option came with only material seats, no leather.

The Q4 wins on every criteria for me having now test driven it and the Enyaq EXCEPT the blimmin’ non availability of electrically adjustable seats. It’s going to be a right pain ( literally) to have to manually adjust the front seats all the time. BUT I cannot get the driving experience of the Q4 out of my head. The comfort /drive/ intuitive controls were superb . And now the Quattro has joined I think I might have actually reached car nirvana. I’m placing my q4 order next Saturday and I’m a very happy lady :-). The Peugeot would have thrown a spanner in the works but if it’s not even available to view until April then I’m not waiting that long to make a decision. I’ll drive Mr KJ35 crackers.
Just test driven the Enyaq and after my first dealing with the dealership being less than a pleasant experience this pre booked test drive was very different with lots of time spent answering my questions and allowing me to try different specs and different seat interiors.
I narrowed my choice down to the 85 edition suite estate AP £1699
positives
- Memory and electrical adjustable leather ( ish) front seats
- Heated front seats and steering wheel
- it felt a higher seating position than the Q4 but I had driven an s line at audi
- comfortable and easy to drive
- stock cars available as I’m not fussy on colour
- electric boot
- rear window big and clear views
negatives
- I didn’t find the dash as easy to intuit as the q4 also although it’s clearly high tech it just wasn’t as high quality looking and feeling as the Audi ( to me)
- The interior doesn’t feel as comfortable as the Q4 although it still was a comfortable ride
the tech is fantastic for the price and the £2400 AP difference is significant over the Audi. The presence of the memory seats is potentially a deal clincher here. I’ve got some mulling to do
