They’re a lovely car congratulations!!! It makes such a difference to get a bit of respect in these places. It’s awful in some garages and totally put me off certain brands.

as an aside I owe you a slight apology @mickyarmy , on another thread I thought your username was a play on mi chiamo Italian for ‘my name is’ and pronounced mickyarmo. I didn’t realise you were ex forces I wasn’t trying to be rude. Much respect for forces people. Thank you.

The q4 black edition is lovely and is the only spec out of the q4 range to have electric powered adjustable seats.

Volkswagen ID5 has arrived at the dealership 3 weeks since I ordered it ( from stock) just a waiting game now on registration/ motability handover/ Ohme actually fitting my charger.

dealership which has been EXCELLENT is Parkway motors they have a number of locations so think it’s ok to share here without doxxing my location.

I like it. Each to their own. I don’t like cars being ‘cookie cutter’ all looking exactly the same in a car park. Probably why I like Markymate’s green Kia too and possibly why I ordered the ( unpopular) id5

                    It’s a beauty @72dudes.

My 5 series 2.5 litre m sport tourer finally went to the great garage in the sky last week after 142000 miles. I think the water pump in it was worth more than it was in the end but oh in its heyday it was a thing of beauty to drive. Have lots of fun.

When the Sportage turns up it’ll be my first ever green car in 47 years of driving!! Sadly, KIA dropped Orange Fusion last year, otherwise would have definitely gone for that…

just seen this green kia in real life out driving. It SHIMMERED. Stunning.

Had an almost immediate response from motability operations who were very good. We’ve agreed a way forward which I won’t detail here until after it has happened.

                          Sent to Andrew miller :-

We have just had our fitting for our BEV charger cancelled last minute ( again) by Ohme’s installer Ascent services. Initially they were due on the 29th February but called to change the time of their visit from morning to afternoon. We couldn’t do this so I was rearranged for today 11.30 they rang at 10 to say their fitter was unavailable and there are no other fitters in the area. I’m out of pocket having arranged help so they can freely access my property. It’s now rearranged for Friday ( we’ll see). So many people are having difficulty with the installations.

I don’t expect you to do anything with my case I’m sure you have more pressing issues to attend to. But when you are reviewing your suppliers with your operations team perhaps you could add my story to the many others you have.

I’ve just had my second appointment cancelled by Ohme with ascent services. Rebooked ( again) for Friday. They were due here at 11.30 rang at 10. I’m out of pocket not that it matters to them. I’m really angry if I’m honest. I can understand one offs but they’d already messed one appointment about, now this.

This is the third appointment now. First one ( last Thursday ) they changed the time from a morning appointment at the last minute to an afternoon slot which I couldn’t do. So then we moved the date to today. Now they can’t come and haven’t got anyone else who can do it. So now rebooked for Friday. I’m not holding my breath.

VWs metallic blue is stunning, and I don’t like blue cars.

there were two blues at VW a mid blue colour that ‘ok’ and a lighter azul blue which was lovely and did make me ponder. It did look pretty , but one of my best friends has an older Audi a4 convertible in that colour and it’s ( rightly) her pride and joy so I didn’t want to rock up in a brand new £52k car in the same colour it just didn’t sit right .

Yes, Ascent Energy Services were contracted to do mine but they sub contracted it out to a local company called Power & Data Networks. They made a good job & Ascent were good in keeping me informed!

                                          thank you xx

Had an email this morning confirming my installation is going ahead on Monday. Apparently it’s being fitted by a company called Ascent Energy Services. Anyone had any dealings with them ? Good/bad? @kezo

I don’t have an EV but even my ICE shares my location data and monitors the vehicle by default. I do have the option of switching both services off but can’t really see the point. If they want to snoop on my rather tedious, boring life let them have at it. If I had something to hide however…..

it’s interesting this viewpoint about not having things to hide etc. just a reminder going to the park was made illegal in the not too distant past.

Motability orders are still the old trim and you can still order them as factory options. I’m getting the id5 style pro as the updated new match pro loses heated seats and panoramic roof. I don’t think we can currently order the new match pro finish so that might actually be a win/win for you if you want the pano roof

@des that’s stunning too. @doughnut I know what you mean about dark grey but I did have a silver Audi a3 that always looked sparkly even when mucky.  I’m hoping my moonstone grey Id5 does the same. I do like the way the moonstone looks sort of flat and futuristic we’ll see. If there had been a green or teal like @markymate or @des car in the Id range id have ordered that and waited as it was I wasn’t fussed enough about the VW colours ( or indeed Audi) to wait months for a factory order over stock availability. Cars great though so I’m excited.

Will be honest, when we first saw it online it didn’t take our fancy, but when we walked into the showroom and saw it in the flesh, it was like, WOW, what a great colour. And like @Ele said, some colours just suit a particular car. We added the black roof as we thought it brought out the green more. Just have to endure the wait now!!

I’m not massively fussed about most car colours as they all seem to be a bit dull but THAT is a thing of beauty @markymate. Green is my favourite colour and that shade just looks stunning.

Sat in one today, and had the same problem i had getting in the Ford Explorer, not enough room from base of steering wheel to floor (if the Enyak had a flat bottomed steering wheel) it would have made a difference, as it is with EV’s and the higher floor pans my left knee jams under the steering wheel, when i am getting in. Got to listen to the sound system and it’s not as punchy as the Bose system in my Kuga. The boot floor is not level with tailgate entry, seemed about 50mm drop. Suppose these things only show up by actually visiting a car in person. Ive not ruled it out yet tho,but the salesman said 4 months wait if ordered today.

there’s a flat bottom to the steering wheel in my id5
