I seem to mostly choose silver. My husband always chooses black ( which I tend to have to take to the car wash for him as it gets so mucky). Silver hides a lot of sins. My next car is id5 moonstone grey which looks like a flat silver to my eyes. Stock order had grenadilla black, moonstone grey or red to pick from. IF I’d have gone down a factory order I’d have probably picked blue azul as it looks like it’s the sort of colour to still hide dirt ( there’s a theme here). Like @des I’m more about interior and for whatever reason the id5 felt much more light and spacious compared to the id4 madness really when you compare dimensions but it made me smile so that’s the car for me.

@nas89 I chose a car from stock two weeks ago. There were two moonstone grey cars  a grenadilla black and a red that was an extra payment. I chose a grey.

@phaedra my husband had the same issue in the ariya. It was very odd as it certainly looked initially like it’d be big enough but it was properly squashed in there for him. @sagwala123 I absolutely loved the xtrail and if I hadn’t got a massive bee in my bonnet about going full EV this time I would have definitely ordered it.

I’ve ordered an ID5 which are all body colour plus black roofs. I’ve gone moonstone grey / black roof as it was a stock car but if that changes to factory I’ll go azul blue / black roof

so they were trying the ‘your a poor, thick woman crap’. as you say, how you managed for 3 years is anyone’s guess. almost the last bastion of males… bmw near here has woman sales boss..

absolutely . It’s a 3 garage family owned dealer that used to have a Mitsubishi contract so it’s where I have to take it for service. When I picked the car up from new there before I entered my pin I checked the car over. I asked where the bonnet pop was so I could check the engine. He said “why you’re motability you’ll never need to look in there love”

Silly me not realising motability cars never need washer fluid. Love.

This might give you a clue keso. Audio has been important to me, but I realised that I don’t actually have the music blasting out like I used to, as I need to concentrate more on driving as I get older. So I did some browsing and found some equaliser settings to max the audio in this particular car, and to my surprise it sounded surprisingly good. It won’t blow your “bass” socks off but it it’s sufficiently clear and bright in the mid and treble ranges, and produces an acceptable but light bass bottom end. When I park up in my favourite view point spots this summer, I might plug in my Megaboom to blow some cobwebs away!

thats how I felt in my ID5

I’ve just had a similar experience getting my Mitsubishi outlander serviced and MOT’d. It went in fine came out with a fuel service warning light and a glitchy media system. I took it back in and they said it was my fault ( love) you didn’t screw the petrol cap on properly ( love). I pointed out I’d had the car three years and I last filled up 3 weeks ago ( it drives mainly on electric). Apparently they have no need to touch my petrol cap ( love) roll eyes ‘motability’ roll eyes.
So it was definitely silly old girly me and not their f£££ing firmware /software updates. No word on why my silliness caused the media glitch.

                          love.

This garage now does Suzuki ora and jeep following the Mitsubishi departure. Needless to say those cars are firmly off my radar. Love.

@kezo that’s brilliant thank you. Now I’ve got to persuade Mr KJ35 to clear all his rubbish out of the garage so they can access it 🙂

Does anyone know if the wiring for these chargers goes externally or internally? Would look a bit of a mess externally at my house, internally would be in a garage wall so not so bad.

In relation to your garage, where is your meter/consumer unit

incoming and main fuse box are in the utility room / outside the main utility room which is immediately behind the garage. The garage is integral.

Would love to order this but my pip review has been with them since late November so I have no idea where I stand

Contact motability and ask. Mine expires 10th March and I’ve not had an extension yet from DWP but my new car is ordered and confirmed as motability have had to change the rules because of the huge DWP backlogs.

Don’t understand what contacting Motability will help do if I lose my PIP?

Well that’s fun. I’ve ordered the car, had it confirmed, done the ohme survey and had an appointment to actually fit the home charger only to just receive an email from motability TODAY acknowledging that I’ve ordered an EV and to expect ohme to contact me to start the above. Thanks for being so ahead of yourselves!! ( I knew what to do and what to expect because of this excellent forum and thread and @kezo ‘s technical advice. Good job really !! @kezo you should be on motability payroll.

All going remarkably smoothly at the minute. Car ordered 12th February confirmed from stock 13 th February for 4 weeks (id5 style pro moonstone grey s3xy) !! Survey from Ohme 14th February completed straight away and just got a call saying my install date 29th February. It is our own house and drive so not sure if that’s made the difference. Can it continue being this easy ?

Looks an excellent car. I think we have similar car tastes @sagwala !!
