Does anyone know if the wiring for these chargers goes externally or internally? Would look a bit of a mess externally at my house, internally would be in a garage wall so not so bad.
In relation to your garage, where is your meter/consumer unit
incoming and main fuse box are in the utility room / outside the main utility room which is immediately behind the garage. The garage is integral.
Yep we do.

I thought we HAD to use our tax exemption on the motability car?
Would love to order this but my pip review has been with them since late November so I have no idea where I stand
Contact motability and ask. Mine expires 10th March and I’ve not had an extension yet from DWP but my new car is ordered and confirmed as motability have had to change the rules because of the huge DWP backlogs.
Don’t understand what contacting Motability will help do if I lose my PIP?
what @phaedra said.

That just made me ? loudly !! Completely right @mfillingham ! Just unbelievable really. I’d have had no idea what was going on without this forum.
February 20, 2024 at 6:51 pm in reply to: BEV purchasing process, including charger install. #258928Well that’s fun. I’ve ordered the car, had it confirmed, done the ohme survey and had an appointment to actually fit the home charger only to just receive an email from motability TODAY acknowledging that I’ve ordered an EV and to expect ohme to contact me to start the above. Thanks for being so ahead of yourselves!! ( I knew what to do and what to expect because of this excellent forum and thread and @kezo ‘s technical advice. Good job really !! @kezo you should be on motability payroll.
This looks an excellent option and one I would seriously consider.
February 19, 2024 at 2:11 pm in reply to: BEV purchasing process, including charger install. #258806All going remarkably smoothly at the minute. Car ordered 12th February confirmed from stock 13 th February for 4 weeks (id5 style pro moonstone grey s3xy) !! Survey from Ohme 14th February completed straight away and just got a call saying my install date 29th February. It is our own house and drive so not sure if that’s made the difference. Can it continue being this easy ?
I started a thread on I think @des ordered one. They’re not in the showrooms for another few weeks but there’s a couple of videos on the thread. Looks an excellent car. I think we have similar car tastes @sagwala !! I’ve ordered the ID5 from stock which I’m very happy with, but if they muck me about at all I won’t think twice about switching to a q4 or the Peugeot
It’s only the lumbar support that is electric, the rest of the seats are manual.
aah ok thank you. My mistake
Does this help(copy and paste from my order) : Comfort 1J2 ‘e-tron’ projection light in the exterior mirrors 4L6 Auto-dimming rear-view mirror 6XI Exterior mirrors, electrically adjustable, heated and folding, automatically dimming on both sides 6E3 Front centre armrest 3NT Split-folding rear seat bench – can be split 40:20:40 or fully, with centre armrest and cup holders 7P1 4-way electric lumbar support
how did you get the electrical adjustable seats? I couldn’t find an option at all for this ? Which model did you order?
I have nothing to add but wanted to compliment you on just about the best screen name I’ve ever seen 🙂 bit of an Italian pun there!
February 15, 2024 at 7:49 pm in reply to: BEV purchasing process, including charger install. #258512I had my Ohme survey through to complete yesterday and our incoming box had 2 cables and 100amps on the tag so I’m assuming this is a good thing ?
Please don’t post your email on a public forum. I’d send a message to enquiries@whichmobilitycar.com Ask him if he’d be willing to pass it on to Kj35
I’ll do that thank you – I’ll send the dealer details to the enquiries email and hopefully it can be passed on

Thanks everyone I was just struggling to understand the difference on the questionnaire. I’ll go tethered as I’m in an area that gets targeted by car thieves. So I’m assuming an untethered cable will be at risk when charging.
I think given the ID5 is really an ID4 coupe I’m ok to post here that my car order is confirmed!! ID5 style pro moonstone grey currently 4 week wait as a car from stock. ?
That’s interesting, which dealer. I might check for ID4 stock. I still haven’t had a factory build date yet. It’s been four weeks.
is it ok if I direct message you the dealer? I prefer not to give my location out on a public forum

Anyone managed to order a style pro? As im getting all different answers when phoning vw dealers around me. I’m guessing I’ll just have to place an order and see.
yes you can order both stock and factory build . The dealer needs to go their vw hub and there’s a specific note that motability can still order the old style trim , pro style etc
Thank you, ill order one sometime this week. I did ring my local vw dealer again and think they have been updated with new info you just said. Have you ordered one? Im thinking of the going the lighter blue.
I’ve ordered just the model they’re checking stock. I’m not bothered on colour too much although I do like that azul blue the lighter one. There was quite a few stock options in dusk blue so I’m guessing they’ll reserve me one of those. Factory order id5 wait was 12 weeks so if no stock available then no big issue going factory build.

Do you know if the Match spec is going to replace the life and style pro on the Motability ordering platform ?
they didn’t know today but my guess is it will at some point but the AP may increase. I noticed for example that list price of the car I ordered and the Audi q4 was pretty similar but the Volkswagen was currently far lower in AP.
I also warned the dealer that as I’ve ordered a style pro that’s what I want to receive no ‘upgrading’ me to the match during the build like they’ve just done with the Enyaq as the match does not have heated seats which I absolutely need.
I went in to order the id4 pro style and I may have accidentally ordered the id5 instead… it was just love

I wanted the Q4 Quattro by far my favourite in looks and ease of use of equipment but an AP of £4299 with no option to add electric adjustment to the seats just felt too much. Enyaq suite edition had everything but I didn’t find the dash easy to use or intuitive. In fact I was overwhelmed by it. The id4 pro style sits happily in the middle for me. A good car, intuitive dash and if I’m putting up with manual adjustment then £1499 or if I add on electric adjustment £ 3000 ish still less than ( my beloved) q4. If money was no object it’d be q4 all the way but I’m very happy to be ordering the id4 tomorrow. Anything goes wrong then I’ll order the Enyaq and work out the dash in my own time.
Sorry to hear that @mlh must be awful. I’m the opposite with everything being icy cold ( spinal cord damage, car crash ) . The new match trim does seem to have some good features and I’m wondering if I held off if the gtx leather seats and electric adjustable will come on the scheme. I don’t want to risk the gamble though and I know I’ll be happy with the pro style ( especially if they find one with electric adjustable seats in build I’ll pay for that).
I’ll report back.
The Enyaq is back in my sights if the id4 doesn’t work out – it is a spectacular car too and I’d be quite spoilt not to be ok with one .
