@kezo It’s a 4 inch fan, the walls are fully tiled. I’m happy to vent via the window in warmer months. I’ll use the fan in the depths of winter.

A tip for anyone buying an air fryer or multi cooker. Invest in a salad spinner to dry your chips. I used to use a tea towel, but the spinner is much better. Got one this from Morrisons for £6.50.

An unfortunate error meant your car has been allocated to a private cash / HP customer. ?

A lot of these accident repair garages give you a courtesy car and forget about you. They’ll probably be making money for providing you with the car. I had a car wrote off, the garage (police rota recovery service) wouldn’t lift their finger to contact the insurers as they were getting £24 a day storage fee. Can you go and physically see the car and the damage? If it’s just paintwork there’s no reason for the delay. If it needs a part they will probably blame supply issues.

Chips from raw potatoes about 20 mins @180c. I don’t know about the steak as I always coat mine in oil, salt n pepper and fry on a very hot dry frying pan, but I would think around 15 mins for steak.  My energy monitor suggests it uses between 4p and 7p an hour to use it. My oven @180c costs between 55p and 75p an hour.

@kezo You could put the chips in the large bowl and the steaks on the rack on top of the chips, any juice would drip into the chips though. You’d struggle with 3 depending on how big they are. There’s only 2 of us and it’s ideal size. In-laws have one and there’s 4 in their house, they love it as well.

@kezo, you can’t do 3 steaks and chips in the multi. When you do chips you need to let the hot air circulate, so you need a bit of space between the chips.

Getting a bit off topic, but the best knife sharpener I’ve ever used was one of these, see below. See the video on the Amazon website it genuinely is that good.

@Kezo We’ve had it almost 2 years and use it most days. Just had a late breakfast and did the hash browns in it, 15 mins. My opinion, I’d go for the multi type as they do more. You can even do a curry in it, I use the sauté function to fry off the onion and beef, then put the curry sauce in and slow cook. They use a fraction of the electric or gas your main oven uses.

I absolutely love our Ninja Multi, so versatile. You can cook a large whole chicken really quick by using the pressure cooker followed by the air fryer to brown it. I also do whole chicken and beef joints in the slow cooker, slice an onion and carrot and add 150ml of chicken stock and the chicken, 5 hours later you have the most succulent chicken you’ve ever eaten. This is ours.

Yep, had an Actifry for years, forever replacing parts, ( cheap plastic high temperatures). Then bought a Ninja 7 in 1 multi, it’s a slow cooker, air fryer, pressure cooker, sauté er, you can use it as an oven. Roasted a large chicken joint (Asda silver tray type) tonight with some roast potatoes. Love it, saves a fortune on energy costs.

Try going direct to Motability, they can arrange hire cars, they arranged an adapted one for my missus whilst hers was being stuck in the garage awaiting a part.

We never add it to Motability car, pointless. I was offered for £150 when my Audi was in a crash repair Center. I went with it, it did seem to have a lovely glossy sheen every time I washed it. You get a pack of special car shampoos with the deal.

I think high car prices are here for a while, but don’t forget they are going to have to take into account the massive amounts they’re making on used cars. They can’t just keep giving all the excess funds to charity, it will eventually be reflected in AP’s.
