I think with these things Paul from experience it’s probably best to go to a local detailer if you require extra protection (paint correction / ceramic coatings) etc. Than the dealer direct.

I have a friend who is a detailer in the north west and the amount of work he gets from people who have had new cars prepared by ‘dealers’ is crazy. Looks like some of them clean them with a Brillo pad.

May be worth checking locally to you to see if someone who does this kind of work day in day out and takes their time can come up with a reasonable price.

Well while I agree with @Andy S comments, take time to have a look at your local car detainers. It will cost you more but you will get a far better job than the dealership offer. 99% of such dealership detailing is farmed out.

Here is an example of what a top detailer  offers. This is local to me. Clean Detail

Have a read through the site and use this as a bench mark of what you want to look for in your area.

            I wouldn’t bother on a lease vehicle.

You can get a gard x kit for under £20 on ebay.

Paul, you are probably going to keep the car 3 years. Just wash it regularly.  Modern paint doesn’t need anything else.

We never add it to Motability car, pointless. I was offered for £150 when my Audi was in a crash repair Center. I went with it, it did seem to have a lovely glossy sheen every time I washed it. You get a pack of special car shampoos with the deal.
