Think you need to go to http://www.audi.co.uk and register in the myAudi bit(in the owners area) and then use your order number. Rather like the VW one, which isn’t surprising, VAG and all that.
Bit closer still. Text update this morning telling me now at Stage 6, landed in UK.
Well I personally would be more inclined to believe the system (but that is largely down to a lack of faith in dealers) Presumably you have your copy of the original order form, have you dug that out and checked it states grey upholstery on that? If so then if it does arrive with black then it’s clearly not what was ordered and so rejection would be perfectly acceptable.
If, however, the form also says black then the area of rejection becomes a little greyer (no pun intended) as it might be argued you didn’t check the form etc. But others with more knowledge of rejection criteria will doubtless be along to clarify further.
Ultimately, you can’t be forced to put your pin in.
Of course, it might be black and you might decide you like it anyway 🙂
Closer still!
Just got a text. Order has progressed to stage 5a of 7. Left factory, in transit. Yay!
On a side note, two calls to the dealership when I got the build week assigned text, to try and ascertain which build week had been assigned, both resulted in hearing absolutely nothing back. Nada. Like others have said, we really do appear to be taken for granted and thought of ‘lesser’ customers.
Looks lovely. But I think it nods more to the facelift hippo 1 as much as the series/Defs (which is fine by me).
8 spd Auto is the standard, rather than the option. Tick.
Barring lotto win of some sort of hitherto unknown relly croking it suddenly, can’t see that I’ll ever be having one 🙁
Hopefully in three years or so when the next change is due the Jimny is on and I can lane in that 🙂
Whilst it might mean some good deals from those that need to push numbers, said falling sales might also be the tiniest beginning of a trend bubble bursting? When the mood-ometer does swing away from SUV’s (and let’s face it, it will) I for one don’t look forward to the decreasing choice of vehicles that are easier to get in and out of compared to ‘normal’ height cars.
Prefer the 508 coupe. Saw one in black in the showroom and it really was very attractive.

September 3, 2019 at 8:07 pm in reply to: Could Prime Minister Boris Johnson break up the UK? #86760I find it rather sad that Phillip Lee who crossed to the LibDems represents a constituency that voted by a substantial majority to leave in the referendum. Yet then throws around accusations like hijacking democracy etc. These people really are blinded by their own self importance!
I was on a cruise when the first deadline came and went, came home to the dismay of it still droning on. I don’t think a year long world cruise would even give a hope of coming home to an outcome 🙁
September 3, 2019 at 6:10 pm in reply to: Could Prime Minister Boris Johnson break up the UK? #86749Bercow is bound to allow the vote, he’s beyond biased. GE must be imminent. Because Lib Dem are the single party with a definite revoke A50 and remain policy (apart from SNP who will gladly lend their support) it is very possible that Lib Dem become the next govt. Assuming that most of the original remainders get behind them. Tory & Brexit likely to stuff each other up.
Interesting times ahead. Personally I’d happily leave the door open for Me Fawkes!

Years ago you used to see adverts lauding the fact it as an ex Motability car, implying it was hardly used and fully stamped etc. But these days they just go through the auctions to the usual volume shifters like motorcity et al.
When the referendum was being canvassed and undertaken I thought that remain would win. I cast my vote anyway. When the result came in I, like most of the world, was gobsmacked. However, I turned to my wife and said i”meaningless, it still won’t happen, the powers that be don’t want it and one way or another they won’t let it happen and they’ll be aired by the EU who don’t want it either”.
Three years later, even with Bojo’s determination and latest move, I still don’t believe it will happen.
There will be a general election before long and only then will parliament (and I use the term collectively, irrespective of party or leave/remain) begin to see the damage that has been done, by themselves, to democracy in this nation.
Whilst I can, potentially, see the camera shutdown whilst the boot lid is open as a valid safety point (there are people out there who, glancing at the screen, upon seeing no actual obstacles immediately behind them would then just reverse) I cannot see any justifications for disabling remote closing of the boot lid on seven seat versions. I’m guessing the rationale is kids in the back seats might have their arms stuck in the way or something. But in forward facing seats, really? And besides, don’t the lids themselves have anticlose sensors or similar, like windows do?
On the Kuga you just press the fob button twice to open and twice again to close. Biggest annoyance I get is when I quickly press the dash button when I pull up by whoever I’m picking up and it doesn’t work, because I haven’t put it in P !! Grrr.
Lol, I remember it was in a magazine or paper Wigwam.
No questions but glad you’re happy with it. It’s always a relief when your decision is vindicated, sure plenty of us have had at least one occasion when you get it and soon think oh damn, I’m stuck with this for three years.
IIRC, I read somewhere once that Motability are actually the biggest fleet lease operative in the UK (or was it EU? Can’t remember).
Gordon, DSG or manual? There were certainly none of my chosen spec in stock when I ordered in June, least not within my dealers network. Guess like a lot of things it’s a bit of a PC lottery. I don’t fret anyways, they come, they go.
I think there’s too much division in the tories, they’ll force it.
The bottom line is that too large a percentage of MPs have rejected the democratic result of the referendum and decided they know better than the plebs. They talk of needing to deliver the will of the people but all the while derailing it, in pursuit of reversing it. Whilst blustering about UK not making up its mind or not knowing what it wants, the EU is actually perfectly happy to be complicit in the delay because it doesn’t want the UK to leave, it will crack their already flimsy foundations.
I think it will drag on unresolved until the (inevitable) general election. That election will then become a straight leave or remain fight, principally between the Lib Dems and the Brexit Party. Based on the original referendum result I doubt either would command a working majority. Lib Dems could no doubt rely on SNP (but at what cost?) Brexit Party rely on Conservative? I’m not sure they’ll actually be enough of a Conservative party left. Conservative and Labour are set to be the big losers, mainly because of their own divisions and aimlessness, which is why neither really want an election before Brexit h(at least the leave bit) been concluded.
Define decent?
For me, get the Bollinger to the state where it has 300 r/w range and on the scheme and I’ll be one happy happy bunny.
Well I was in the minority that liked the Evoque convertible, so yes, I like the idea of this. Basically it’s a convertible that I can probably get in AND out of! Hope it’s on in three years time plus similar alternatives.
Maybe they’re planning a substantial hike in the cap, even if only for e & phev type vehicles.
You never know, they might have been rounding down in the past. Make a note of a few and see which way they go when it gets corrected!
