My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.I have a Toyota Corolla Estate 1.8 GR Sport trim as a company car, I’ve had it three months now and very pleased with it. I find the seats very comfortable but that could be because of the higher spec.
I went out today to a job 62 miles round trip, 26 miles motorway and 5 miles urban each way. Adaptive cruise set to 70mph. I got 55.2mpg on the way out and 62.4mpg on the way back. The engine hadn’t fully cooled on my return so got better mpg, it’s my understanding that the mpg is even better in the summer months.

Be aware if you are considering this car, and assuming 1.2 petrol automatic gearbox, the one from top trim Shine has an AP of £1,395 and then an extra £800 for the heated leather seat pack. The top trim Shine Plus has an AP of £995 and comes with the heated leather seats as standard.
The Shine Plus has quite a bit of kit as standard, the only thing missing that springs to mind is auto parking.

As far as I can see heated front seats are standard on the Shine Plus trim and can be added to the Shine trim as part of the £800 leather pack.

I agree mark I have back problems so wouldn’t want the sports suspension etc I’m happy with the 1.8 design hybrid at £795 get in 4 weeks can’t wait already have the reg number motability man emailed me
Yes I think you are correct, let us know if it comes with blind spot monitoring I don’t think it will though.

I’m still really enjoying my Prius plus, although it seems to mostly be transporting me to hospital appointments just now, once I keep clearing the snow and ice. You got a good deal as well for the CHR.
Indeed it’s a lot of car for the AP, I’ll also add a very good looking car as well.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.Yes when B is selected it is as if the brakes are being gently applied but I think it’s just selecting a deliberately lower gear ratio to use the engine as a brake, like you would by selecting a low gear in a manual box with foot off the accelerator going down hill.
I think the B option is only available on the 1.8 Toyota’s, the 2 litres have the S option with flappy paddles.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.B is a selection on the gear lever on the CVT gearbox, I’ve used it on the Carolla and as rox says it uses engine braking and should be selected when going down a steep hill, the type where you see the ‘select low gear now’ sign. I would not think it would give better mpg, probably worse if anything. Don’t DSG gearboxes have this?

Be aware if you go for the 2 litre you will loose some boot space, 358 litres against 377 litres in the 1.8, the 12 volt battery is in the boot in the 2 litre.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.Marc I mainly listen to Radio 2 but have many cds my golf had CD player in glove box so I’m new to this MP3 music ? Can my CDs be put on my iPhone and played through apple car play ?
Yes you will need a computer with a cd player then rip the discs to MP3 or similar, forget what the apple format is but an iPhone will understand MP3 anyway. Once your music is on your phone you can play it through you car with car play or blue tooth.
I use Microsoft media player to rip CDs to MP3 the put the files on to the cruzer fit USB, then just plug into the car USB port and forget it, but that is just a personal preference.

. Marc I don’t think it does when you go on Toyota website build Chr etc it lists each model standard equipment and in safety blind spot is not mentioned on design trim ?.but I hope it is !

I don’t know if you listen to MP3 music in the car but my Corolla does not have an SD card reader unlike my old Leon, I’m assuming your Golf will have a similar SD card reader as the Leon but the CH-R won’t. I bought a SanDisk cruzer fit USB stick for MP3 music and just copied from the SD card. The cruzer fit is very small and not intrusive.

It has, page 8 of the spec pdf ‘Interior Comfort’ second line down, it says only the Icon does not have heated seats.

Yes, the list price is the same as the Excel for the 1.8, £31,395. So I would expect the AP to be similar. There is no heads up display on the CH-R though unlike the Carolla. Does anyone know how long these things take to filter through to motability?

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.I know petrol cars have improved mpg in recent times but I remember years gone by when we used to drive down to the Costa Brava Spain every year. As company cars I had a Ford Focus Ghia 1600 petrol in 2006 then in 2009 I had Ford Focus Titanium 1600 diesel both estates fully loaded with roof boxes and bike rack on the back. With the petrol the trick was to get to the Spanish border on three tanks, the fuel is/was significantly cheaper in Spain, with the diesel it was two tanks.
