Bit of a posting problem here, but three answers are better than one. 😂

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.@kezo thanks for the reply, just to clarify it’s a self charging hybrid not a plug in, I don’t think it can be switched from EV to HEV. The car spent a significant amount of time in EV mode at high speed.
Is it fwd or awd? https://www.tucsonforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1911
It’s the front 2 wheel drive, it only has eco and sport modes, I’ve not tried the sport mode yet, I chose the 2 wd as it’s more economical than the fwd, I dread to think how bad that is 😂. I’m not going to loose any sleep over it though as I like the car.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.I accept that the car is new and needs some miles on the clock and also it’s winter but I don’t drive fast and I was expecting better mpg. We have had the caravan for nine years now so have done the journey in a few different cars, to give some perspective, as follows:-
Seat Leon Estate 1.6 diesel company car 2016 – 2020 around 70mpg.
Seat Ibiza 5 door hatch 1.2 petrol private purchase 2017 – present around 52mpg.
Seat Arona 1.6 diesel motability car 2018 – 2022 around 65mpg.
Toyota Corolla Estate 1.8 petrol self charging hybrid company car 2020 – 2022, handed back on retirement, around 60mpg.
Vauxhall Grandland 1.5 diesel motability car 2022 – 2025 around 60mpg.
Hyundai Tucson 1.6 petrol self charging hybrid motability new car 42.6mpg.
I don’t understand why the Toyota was so much better and I don’t remember it being any worse in the winter. All that said we do like the Hyundai, I’ve not played around with the regen braking so I’m hoping that will help also once the car has done a few miles and possibly warmer weather things may improve.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.Not impressed with the mpg, spent a couple of days at our caravan, a journey from the West Midlands to north Wales with a good mix of urban, motorway, 70mph A roads, 60mph A roads and up and down hills. The car display said 42.6 mpg, I filled the car up before leaving and again on return, 24.17 litres for 216.6 miles, so 216.6 miles divided by 5.32 gallons equals 40.71 mpg so the car display is not faulty as I at first thought it was.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.Picked up our Hyundai Tucson Ultimate 2 wd self charging hybrid Serenity white with moss grey interior yesterday. We’re pleased so far, I’ll try to do a review and post some pictures in the new year. As far as I can tell we have blue link pro for 6 months then blue link plus for 2 1/2 years then blue link lite for the next 7 1/2 years giving 10 years in total.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.Had our cars MOT today but motability would not pay for the service.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.Booked our car in for first MOT and third annual service to be done at the same time, the dealer asked if we had already ordered another car I told them yes. The dealer then said it will have to have an MOT but it’s unlikely that motability will authorize the service.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.Ordered the car now, Ultimate self charging hybrid in pearl white with moss grey interior. The dealer told me that the cars speed limit warning cannot be adjusted to allow for 3 or 5 mph above the limit and that if it is muted it defaults to bongs every time you restart the car, so I’ve no idea what was going on with the car that I test drove. The dealer told me it would be a factory order and would take about 3 months so should be ready for our end of December due date.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.It’s possible I could have eased of after two bongs, I can’t be sure. I definitely exceeded the speed limit by a couple of miles an hour after each restart just to test it and there were no bongs, just the flashing speed signs. The car was a 75 plate, so new, and could possibly be a MY 2026. I hope I’ve got this right but I think I have, there were some single pings though, what I eventually realised was a warning of a speed limit change 40 to 30, 30 to 20 and so on but I can live with that. It’s worth pointing out that when I turned the car of it was only for a few minutes at a time and I don’t know if that makes any difference in time needed for the car to default to bongs.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.Had a test drive in a Hyundai Tucson Ultimate self charging hybrid this morning, I had the car for 3 hours. Very impressed, booked an appointment to order next week when our window opens.
As for all of the ‘bongs’, the car gave 2 bongs and the speed sign on the dash and in the heads up display started flashing at just 1 mph above the limit, I pressed and held he steering wheel mounted mute button for 3 seconds, this turned off the bongs but the speed limit signes were still flashing. Further to that the car appeared to remember my setting in that after several restarts the bongs never happend again except for the speed change single ping. Maybe alterations have been made to the spec and just the flashing speed limit sign is enough to satisfy the rules.
I also easily connected my iPhone via wireless car play and it worked perfectly, we’ll likely order pearl white with moon grey interior.

This is the on line configurator for the new Kia Sportage, only the three trims and no PHEV, the front of the facelift car is also different, so I’m guessing the dealer can get you a stock one of the previous version.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.A face lifted Sportage came out on 1st July, and is different to the one on the motability web site you won’t be able to get a factory ordered one of the previous version and I suspect the motability offerings are there to get rid of any stock cars. For example the trim levels ‘2’ and ‘3’ are no longer available just Pure, GT Line and GT Line S. There is also currently no longer a PHEV though I understand there will be one latter in the year, it may be best if you speake to you Kia dealer.

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.Seems the MG ZS has gone to, shame was due to test drive one on Friday, it was a backup choice.
MG ZS Hybrid+ is available from £499 As @Abercol suggests the electric version is being replaced with the MGS5 and yet to join the scheme
You are right, my mistake… My only concern over this model is the 3 speed automatic gearbox? Anyone got experience of this?
We had an MG ZS Trophy Hybrid+ for 10 days as a hire car when our Grandland was in for repair, it was a nice car, easy to drive and good on fuel. You don’t notice any engine noise when driving under normal conditions in fact it’s very quiet and smooth even when the engine kicks in. However if you go up an hill and put your foot down the engine revs quit high as if it’s not got enough gears, the best thing to do is test this when you have your test drive, we had the car in February and it only had 192 miles on the clock so I assume it was the latest version.
The things I did not like are the steering wheel has rake but no reach adjustment, the drivers display has limited display options with the digital speedo being in the top left had corner and can be difficult to see especially given the limited steering wheel adjustment. The radio can be muted but not turned off, you have to turn off the car open the door and then lock the car before it turns off. The sound system also sounded a bit ‘tinny’ to me so I tried to find the graphic equaliser to adjust the sound but there isn’t one so you are stuck with the sound as it is, there is also no balance/fader adjustment for the speakers.
Some of the exterior lights are halogen not LED, there is no arm rest or cup holders in the rear, all that said is still a nice car especially for the price, if you’re still having the test drive tomorrow you will be able to look at these things and decide if they are important to you.
Are you aware that MG are, supposedly, bringing out a Hybrid+ in the HS model, it should have been out in Q1 2025, but I’ve not heard anything yet.
