Just ordered my Toyota CHR 1.8 hybrid Design model for March 16th pick up talked on phone to the motability man at his home has had his card from test drive over a month ago ! He says delivery could be 10 weeks it’s the new 2021 spec with new front and rear lights and ambient lighting inside he is going into showroom next week just 5 miles from me so I’m dropping my licence and pips award letter off for him ! The design model has everything I want keyless entry heated seats park assist auto folding mirrors 18 inch alloys sat nav etc I’m having metal stream met paint very popular on Chr forum changes from grey to silver depending on light looks nice with the big silver face alloys

Yes, the list price is the same as the Excel for the 1.8, £31,395. So I would expect the AP to be similar. There is no heads up display on the CH-R though unlike the Carolla. Does anyone know how long these things take to filter through to motability?

It has, page 8 of the spec pdf ‘Interior Comfort’ second line down, it says only the Icon does not have heated seats.

I don’t know if you listen to MP3 music in the car but my Corolla does not have an SD card reader unlike my old Leon, I’m assuming your Golf will have a similar SD card reader as the Leon but the CH-R won’t. I bought a SanDisk cruzer fit USB stick for MP3 music and just copied from the SD card. The cruzer fit is very small and not intrusive.

. Marc I don’t think it does when you go on Toyota website build Chr etc it lists each model standard equipment and in safety blind spot is not mentioned on design trim ?.but I hope it is !

Yes you will need a computer with a cd player then rip the discs to MP3 or similar, forget what the apple format is but an iPhone will understand MP3 anyway. Once your music is on your phone you can play it through you car with car play or blue tooth.
I use Microsoft media player to rip CDs to MP3 the put the files on to the cruzer fit USB, then just plug into the car USB port and forget it, but that is just a personal preference.

Be aware if you go for the 2 litre you will loose some boot space, 358 litres against 377 litres in the 1.8, the 12 volt battery is in the boot in the 2 litre.
Out of interest which trim are you considering?

Awwww I have this car, have had for nearly 4 years due to lock down. I love it ❤️❤️Good choice!! I have all the metals colour which sounds like the colour of yours. Now I have just recently started to drive in B all the time kicking myself as I’m just about to get a new car and have only just started to make use of this mode. ??. I just was want to say make sure you make use of the B function. I started to use the B mode as it’s similar to one pedal driving as I have decided to go fully electric with the new Mokka E. I’m sure your new car will all make you want to convert also. Have fun with your new car as it is a truly fantastic car ??
Guessing b is for braking mode for use downhill so you don’t have to use the brakes as much it uses engine braking. Used to drive a truck many years ago and it had a stalk on the wheel and you just pushed it forward to brake rather than use your foot and only when you come almost come to a stop do you need put your foot on the brake pedal. Like on ev’s they have brake re-gen which slows you down..
In the golf it used to have coasting mode in eco..which was fun, but one would have to use the manual mode to get revs up to use engine braking which you might not want on all the time in certain driving conditions
B is a selection on the gear lever on the CVT gearbox, I’ve used it on the Carolla and as rox says it uses engine braking and should be selected when going down a steep hill, the type where you see the ‘select low gear now’ sign. I would not think it would give better mpg, probably worse if anything. Don’t DSG gearboxes have this?

My car SEAT Ibiza SE Tec 1.2 petrol TSI 2017.No DSG’s I’ve driven have it, although most have had the option to use a manual mode.
I have a honda civic now and it has a CVT but no B just D and S but luckily being the sport it has the flappy paddles so you can use them to select Higher engine revs and stop the car dropping the revs, like it’s into a higher gear (which a cvt don’t really have gears) which is often a big issue in the sense modern cars always try to keep the revs as low as possible and kicking down with the gas peddle don’t help at all in that situation.
I guess as soon as you take your foot off the gas it starts to slow down or detects an incline i do not know exactly.. Like hill start assist somehow it knows, where as brake assist works all the time. if you got the button selected that is and ya seat belt on etc..
