For that reason i dislike Rain-X etc as well, never had a good experience with any water repellent on the windshield.
I’ve never noticed a problem with micro beading and love the stuff!
@Brydo if you ask 20 people what they recommend, I suspect you would get 20 different recommendations. I have used Poorboy’s products in the past, when cleaning the car was a pleasure. Now I get the car valeted every six months and don’t mind which products are used.Skoda Enyaq Race Blue
At a recent show, I saw the car seat double as the seat for the wheelchair. The frame of the wheelchair was carried separately. And the whole seat moved in and out of the car electrically. Well worth getting along to a Live event when one is near you, whereby you can get all touchy feely and try things out / ask questions etc..
I have no experience of such things. But here is an example.
Best wishes to you and your mum.

Sorry to hear about your bump.
Everything seems to conspire against you sometimes, but I hope things fall into place, and you are soon back in your I6.

Good heads up.
My scam text was from EVRI and unable to deliver a package. It was very good, and I even had an EVRI delivery just the day before. I suspect a bit of insider trading. Total scam.

August 11, 2025 at 9:07 am in reply to: Is an electric vehicle an realistic option with out home charger #311090As part of your ‘research’, I would ask the council what they are proposing or suggesting for on street charging in your area. On top of that, if you are not put off, I would look at what chargers are available near you where you can kill some time whilst your car charges. Such as doing a weekly shop, restaurants or entertainment.
Don’t go to charge, go to do something and let the car charge whilst you are busy.
ZapMap is a good resource.

I do like a sparkling drink but don’t do sugar
Good news, no sugar in Pepsi Max or any of the Zero products! Enjoy!!

This is to prevent the key from constantly communicating with the car.
VAG keys don’t work like this. They turn themselves off if there is no movement, so no communication.
@JoJoe – yeah, I think swapping out the battery every 12 months is ‘normal’. It would be interesting to know how frequent others change their battery.Skoda Enyaq Race Blue
Well, Dumfries is about half way between Durham and Glasgow, if you need a comfort break and rest for an hour or however long, you would be welcome. We have tea!

Google is your friend! And I think you are spot on with late summer.

It’s my local road!
There are plenty of chargers on it, with some just off, including Tesla chargers. The FastNed at Hamilton are good, but the food (McDo) is a bit of a hike. We sometimes stop at Abington for a splash and dash, with a BK of course! It is Applegreen, Tesla and I think Gridserve.
Carlisle has a good IONITY just off J44 with a Starbucks if that is your thing.
Is there anything else I help with?

another website with another credentials and profile to maintain… Hopefully someone on this forum can share their experience. We drove to Czech Republic in the past, but then it was a proper ICE 7 seater.
Try a password manager!
I doubt very much that anyone on this forum will have taken an EV to the Czech Republic. But fingers crossed.

Have you asked on Speak EV? You are much more likely to hear from someone who has experience of travels in Europe on that website.
Sounds like an epic journey, enjoy!

If you see a car you like at a price you like, order it, don’t wait for the next quarter. Vehicles have a nasty habit of being dropped from the scheme or the AP going up.
But if you need the money for the AP, why not have a break for a couple or three months?

Maybe post on a motorhome forum. Folk on the forum take dogs overseas all the time. I used motorhomefun
Have a good time!

I had my Mazda serviced by the local Renault garage. Authorised by Motability of course. Nae bother.

I have an Ohme charger, Octopus IOG and a VAG car and it works just fine. I do use white goods overnight. I let Octopus take control of charging, in that I don’t have a schedule in the car and the charger is dumb.
If you are not using white goods overnight, there may be a more suitable plan for you. A friend uses OVO for example.

I went a slightly different route and got an Apple TV+, it has breathed new life into an ‘old’ Sony TV. I don’t pay a subscription but do use all the catch up TV players.
The Manhattan box sounds like a good substitution for Sky.

Make sure your conditions are covered by your Nationwide account or if any additional premiums. My parents were with Nationwide and a premium was required for my dad.
Yup, Nationwide here with additions as well.
I had to use them in anger when I got epididymitis whilst in France. They were very good.
Also used their breakdown cover whilst in Europe in my private vehicle. 20 miles over the border in to Southern Ireland, or just Ireland! Also, very good.
