I took a test drive in one last night and one of the tests was parking and turning into my driveway. If you saw how tight that was you would realise just how agile the car is. My wife closes her eyes every time we enter it and reverse out lol. The 360 degree parking system is out of this world and the best i have seen in any car, yes it is a large beast but certainly does not feel it when driving or parking it thanks to the tech inside. I even got on with the bings and bongs, certainly not as obtrusive as people make them out to be but maybe i`m used to it coming from a KIA.

----------------------------Fingers crossed for you POPs but i really cannot see it going anywhere this quarter, and who knows it may even drop in Jan but i wouldn`t take that chance lol.
Think there will be a lot of people regretting those mirrors without seeing them first, so glad i did otherwise i would have been gutted on delivery day.

----------------------------All this talk about dealer offers on STOCK ONLY cars is making me nervous, really hope the I6 does not go down the Enyaq route and get cancelled once the stock is depleted.
Think im just panicking before my test drive and order.
@Callmejohn i think the quote for 3 grand was for each mirror not the pair lol, i know we don`t fork out for the whole repair but the thought of £100 excess each time they get damaged from jealous idiots in the car park put me off.----------------------------

----------------------------On Saturday i was told only 2 premium cars existed as stock, one dark blue and one in red and both would qualify for the dealer match contribution of £750 but both had the digital side mirrors, so would have to pay the £950 for those which cancels out the extra £750 really so pointless.
Therefore it will have to be a factory order, he showed me a print out from Hyundai which had build slots listed. If ordered before the 15th of December then delivery was estimated FEB to MAR 2024 but any time after that and your looking at May to June 2024.
As far as he is concerned all the metallic colours are included, did not ask about the Matt ones as they dont interest me due to the extra up keep.

----------------------------Im still waiting for a test drive, every time im off work or finish early the bloke who has the i6 is never at bloody work. Just had a call from EH in Leeds to say it will be at the showroom tomorrow at 2.30pm and i can have an unaccompanied test drive so crossing fingers and everything else for that, third time lucky. I went Saturday but sadly he had gone home, i was almost tempted just to order it but the war office held me back lol, she has a lot more common sense than me.
If all goes well tomorrow an order is going in for the byte blue ultimate without the digital side mirrors, after he told me it was a 3 grand repair if they get walloped off.

----------------------------When i saw it at the big event in Harrogate it was the XC40 recharge that was on show in the lowest CORE trim level. That was the one he indicated would be on the scheme, it had a range of around 270 miles but the EV database puts that at around 210 real world. I just think the interior looks a little dated now compared to other marks and i think i would be more interested in the EX30 even though it only has a small boot so fingers crossed that appears as that might be a contender to the ioniq 6 for me.

----------------------------I was in the same position as you, had my BP pulse repaired twice and once they stopped supporting 2G it became nothing more than a dumb charger. Spoke to Motability and explained why i felt it was a waste of time investing in another EV when the charger simply was not up to the job and they agreed it did not serve its purpose and swapped me to the intelligent Ohme. I can now plug in at anytime of the day not just after midnight and i get cheap rate slots assigned throughout the day via Intelligent Octopus where i charge at 7.5p. The bonus of this is that the period assigned to the car for charging at that rate also means the house gets that rate as well so if i get a 45min slot say in the afternoon then we stick the dishwasher or dryer on at the same time. Winner all round.

According to the EV database the hyundai real world figure is 305 and the BMW 265. Lets not forget those figures are based on averages from testing and ownership reviews.

I for one could not live with those nylon style cloth seats.

----------------------------I think it depends on the car. I took them off my old VW Tiguan because they looked awful and there were so many of them plastered all over the boot. Looking like the ioniq 6 will be my next car in a few weeks and those are hideous, the one on the bonnet is like a dinner plate so that is either getting wrapped black or painted the same as the body colour to hide it and the same with the rear one as well. Personal choice i suppose they only stick on so pull em off i did. Sure that might upset the motability police but i personally dont care.

----------------------------Strange as i had an isolator switch and 2 junction boxes on the tails and it was all included. This was three years ago when i had the BP pulse fitted though and have since been swapped over to the Ohme but i was under the impression from Motability that unless it involved digging up your road or driveway everything that was needed for the install was included. Obviously things have changed since then.

Just make sure its a factory order and that should give you at least a few months cushion to find something you want. But personally i would do as Kezo has suggested and tell them you dont feel comfortable been pressurized into making a decision.

Expected the Volvo to appear B4 now though, especially the little baby one which is only 42 for the top trim with rear wheel drive and still under the 53k limit with all wheel drive. But with a zero to sixty in around 3 seconds i think that will be deemed way to powerful for us lot been disabled and all.

----------------------------Just for ref here is mine after all the additions were added. 100amp fuse plus isolation switch and the CT clamp. The little white box under the Ohme pod is a separate RCD. BP pulse installed it into the kitchen in a cupboard and made a right mess but the Ohme engineer moved it outside into a waterproof housing so its easier for maintenance. He also patched everything up inside and left everything outside spotless. He even left me his personal mobile in case of any issues really nice guy.

----------------------------I’ve just been and had a sit in an ioniq 5 for the first time. The thing I had the biggest issue with is the lack of centre console . My first car was a basic mk4 escort and it just reminded me of that, it was just lacking the foot and a half gear stick going straight into the floor. To me a separated driver and passenger area is luxury, anything else is just a transit van lol

That made me laugh out really loud 😀

IF someone told me three years ago i would be driving a KIA i would probably have laughed having owned nothing but BMW or Mercedes then an Audi. In fact my neighbour thought the KIA was a courtesy car and my Audi was in the garage for a service lol. He was shocked when i told him it was my new car but i must admit it has been one of the nicest driving cars i have owned and granted the interior is no way as nice as the Audi was but even so ive enjoyed the 3 years of ownership and now im looking forward to owning the Ioniq 6.
BTW if i do choose the Ioniq 6 then it will be in the Digital Byte Blue so that baby will really stand out lol

----------------------------Its nothing to do with Motability they just pay the bill at the end. The moment Ohme take over your installation you will receive an email asking for a survey online to be completed. Once you have done that you will receive another email like the picture i have attached asking you to choose a cable. I had my epod installed last week and i chose the 5m cable which came separately via DHL a few days before the install. It is Ohme who provide the cable not motability. My installation was to replace an existing BP charger which was crap.

----------------------------If you go for the un tethered version then you get to choose either a 5m or 8m cable. I went for the 5m one and it really is a good quality cable, far better than the one i got from KIA and it comes in a really nice bag to hold it.

----------------------------I went for un tethered as its neater plus if you damage the cable its a pain to replace on a tethered unit. No hardship plugging both ends in.
If your on Octopus you will use the app to control it anyway.
