Hopefully they stay on longer than the single day when they joined in May, also the Advance Payment is less than the £6999 for the XC40 for that day.
November 9, 2023 at 3:50 pm #242698Ian where did you get this news ?
November 9, 2023 at 4:10 pm #242702Even if Volvo do rejoin the scheme, I’d expect the AP’s to be quite high for the XC40 and the EX30 is likely to be the smaller battery.
As far as I’m aware though, the EX30 won’t be delivered to new customers who preordered untill sometime in the first quarter of 2024!

Stephanie O’DonnellI received an email from Volvo Edinburgh this morning confirming they will rejoin this month. I’ve been holding off reordering a new car as have loved our XC40 and hope to go electric this time. I am however very concerned the advanced payments may he prohibitively expensive.

Brian Devlinit won’t matter both these points won’t be an issue for some customers, not everyone is on budget, needs a huge battery and needs delivery ASAP

Probably not, especially for Volvo fanatics. As for me I’d probably fall in the bigger battery category and preferably a flat floor if I went for an EV. Other than that the 40 is a bit on the small side for rear space, for our needs 🙂

I suppose they could fold the rear seats lol.
The price of the EX30 has surprised me. I thought from what I read earlier in the it was expected to start from 33k. £38.500 – £44,500!
@Brian Devlin – Hyperthetically, if you were chooing a car middle of next year, which one would you choose out of these three – Volvo EX30. Zeekr X and to some extent the Smart #1 ?

PeterTAny thoughts on which model the XC40 will be offered in, and all electric?
November 10, 2023 at 7:39 am #242797When i saw it at the big event in Harrogate it was the XC40 recharge that was on show in the lowest CORE trim level. That was the one he indicated would be on the scheme, it had a range of around 270 miles but the EV database puts that at around 210 real world. I just think the interior looks a little dated now compared to other marks and i think i would be more interested in the EX30 even though it only has a small boot so fingers crossed that appears as that might be a contender to the ioniq 6 for me.
