This would be good, if it goes on the scheme. Shame it’s looks like next year, too late for me.
April 20, 2025 at 11:08 am in reply to: ID.3 Features Being Removed Unless I Pay – Was Anyone Told About This? #304549It may be argued that the subscriptions are basically extras, unless, it’s a one off lifetime type, which you pay for, as many cars now have “over the air updates” to upgrade the car. The bmw satnav functions perfectly well after the sub has lapst, except for live traffic info, for which their are workarounds, I assume BMW, pay for the info, so it’s just passing on a cost. The BMW app also works perfectly, except for remote unlocking/locking. I agree with the subs lasting the time of the lease, however manufacturers have wised up to extra revenue and may only offer a year, (buyer beware), which is nothing to do with motobility, as they would class it, an extra. It really has not bothered me as android auto, or car play work seamless and wireless, are our much better. As with all the Technology now, data is valuable, and you are the product.
April 17, 2025 at 2:33 pm in reply to: ID.3 Features Being Removed Unless I Pay – Was Anyone Told About This? #304429I had this on the bmw, the subscription was for 3 years. The period of the lease, I extended the lease, and the live Sat nav expired. No problem, just use waze or google maps, which are a lot better, IMHO, the location tracking of the vehicle still works, but I also have an airtag, hidden away, so it wouldn’t be the end of the world, although the on- board app, relays petrol, locking status etc. Check with motobility. As I think the subs should last the whole lease, but it’s the way of the world now, to rinse you through subscriptions. Just watch the ep, Common people on the Black mirror series on Netflix, for the future.
Brilliant, thanks.
I think it’s off the scheme now.
It goes to you. Depending on the circumstances, you could be offered a speed awareness course, still pay a £100, but no points. Do it on line or attend a course in a hotel or such. I just did one in a hotel. Not too bad. Or just pay fine and accept the points. Nothing to do with motobility.
Pcp, tesla subsidy perhaps? 12months up front. Been loads of deals from tesla, £299. Last month.
If you want one, move fast.
Posted on Facebook.

They have also, had a significant price increase on “open to all” Tesla chargers, price of the monthly subscription remains unchanged
Tesla have reversed, the “charge for all” at a london hub, can’t remember which one, so it can be done if, the supercharger gets too busy, with non tesla cars.
And I was told by motobility yesterday, that they had not yet decided on continuing the £750 new car rebate. So that could disappear as well.
The new petrol minis in jcw guise, or cooper S. Should be in dealers at end of july.
May 1, 2024 at 4:21 pm in reply to: Tesla Cuts Cost Of Supercharger Membership For None Tesla Owners #276643Elon has fired the whole SC team. Looks like they are slowing/stopping deployment of SC, or planning to sell it off. very strange decision, given that they are opening up, if its not making money. the price will rise.
It will also have the updated i9 software, more android.
X2 removed already, liked the look of that, was going to cancel the i4, lets hope its only a blip.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>@ele, no more 5 years. Only in very exceptional circumstances.

Not alot of charging stations, along the south coast or the m23, Shoreham area, apart from pease pottage or gatwick, very few in the Croydon/Sutton area, the Sainsbury in Sutton has some older style slow chargers, i hope they will be upgraded, also hoping, Tesla will open the chargers at Airport House, along the purley way to all.in 2024. The chargers near the M&S at the purley way, are always busy and the car pack packed. It used to be a john lewis, before it closed.
Final review.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>I am struggling with the cost/benefit of moving to msport, maybe i have got it wrong, but it seems to be a thousand pounds just to have the msport steering wheel. Bizarrely, the oyster leather is cheaper on the msport than the sport. Unless i cough up for the pro pack, and then a grand on the HK sound, then you are talking. Any advice.
