Who know’s but I’d like to think so. The best part about the face-lift? Buttons!!!
April 3, 2025 at 1:17 pm #303909I was looking at the IONIQ 6, as the AP has reduced considerably. Turned off it because it’s less practical than the 5 and has the older interior and battery, even though it is sleeker and not a crossover.
I highly doubt this facelift will be available before we order our new car next month, but I’m sure some people are pleased to see this announcement.
April 3, 2025 at 2:42 pm #303915damn that means the ap will go up again lol. i was seriously calculating if i could make this work as by all accounts the seats are very comfortable. at £1143 on wpms it would be in the ball park with gcb and auto grant almost covering it. but i need it to stay low for another year lol.
April 4, 2025 at 8:20 am #303936Nearly went for Ioniq 6 this time (Nov 24) but found it fidgety/nervous over our crap local roads; also more than a bit noisy inside and overladen with dire digitalia. Looked good though. New one looks even better – a proper saloon with designers brave enough to give it some individuality.
Has more than a hint of the old 1950s Citroen DS which still looks like a spaceship today! The modern DS Automobiles has just said they are going to launch a proper 50s DS style saloon. Looks brilliant but like so many other “new” DS projects, will probably disappear into the black hole of safe and average.

Surprised to hear that, I’ve got one and I’ve never had any issues on country roads. Yesterday I done 287 miles to Campbeltown and back without a problem and at the start of the week it was 240 miles to the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse.
Also noisy inside, one of the things they are known for is the quietness inside due to the double glazing and extra sealant trim around the doors.
When I’m due to change (in 2027) I’d definitely have another one, hopefully the N line 😁
April 5, 2025 at 7:40 am #303976@Rhodgie Very surprised to hear the Ioniq 6 is double-glazed because the intrusion of road and traffic noise was pretty bad in the demonstrator. Can only imagine that that particular car had received some damage to driver’s door which was not seen to properly.
April 6, 2025 at 3:20 pm #304024So if you order the ioniq 6 now..you get the newer facelift version? Looks good on the outside for sure.
I have the Skoda Elroq and delighted with it..otherwise may have requested a test drive on the new ioniq.
April 7, 2025 at 9:59 pm #304053@EVLAD no you’ll get the current version. If/when the new shape comes on it’ll have a different order number and a different price
April 8, 2025 at 9:49 am #304062I think it’s off the scheme now.

April 9, 2025 at 7:34 am #304080Brilliant, thanks.
