Hi Peter, like you I have a ŠKODA and got the Ovo 10000 miles free offer.
last year they credited me with £212 , this uses their 3.3 miles/Kw calculation.
Because of price increases in their rates, this year they will be crediting me £425.
I’m more than pleased with that.
It’s worth remembering, OVO allows charging 24 hrs a day, which I find useful.

Hi all, many thanks for replies.
Part of me wants to go head to head with Motability, particularly as it’s a safety issue.
If it gets silly and starts wasting more time, I’ll cut my losses and purchase Bosch ones as recommended by , Phaedra and Rene.
Thanks again, regards, wonky

Hi all, please excuse me if I’m not grasping this VAT issue.
Is Motability loosing it’s charitable status and it’s exemption from paying VAT when purchasing a new vehicle?
Or is it just us that are now expected to pay VAT on our A.P.?
Neither scenario is nice but the second one is the better option if Motability is to survive.

Hi Kezo, still the same . I turned off charger for 30 mins and back on, still nothing.
I do go 2-3 weeks between charges.
In the past that didn’t matter, the plug was always locked in and coyote removed until I pressed unlock on my phone.
Thanks for your help.

Hi, thanks Kezo, could you explain what you mean, I’m not very technical.
Hi Rhodgie, times are hard and someone knowing there was 7p electric available could be tempted.
Youare right, the locking feature available immobilises the unit. However, if one feature has failed whose to say this safety feature cannot.
The point is, a physical lock was present and now it isn’t.
Does anyone else have this charger?
Regards, wonky
Hi Kezo, thanks for reply.
The link you sent is in line with what technical told me. That is , no electric can flow whilst in locked mode. I’m not disputing that. My charging plug, when returned to charger I cannot, was physically locked into place when I activated lock in the app. It has stopped doing this.

Hi all, had Enyaq since May and constantly getting 4.5 ml Kw.
Does anyone know how to set up drivers seat so it moves automatically on entry and exit?
Thanks, Regards, wonky

I was able to specify length of cable for free, I got 10metre, I got surge protector as well .They even paired to my phone before they left.
Nice car you’ve chosen.

Hi all, thanks for advice so far. If I seem to have 12v issues I’ll call RAC as Phaedra did.
Falcon1, I’ve got it on charge now, so I’ll check if it goes out. I may need an eye test as it really looks like a battery motif.

Hi Tillman and others, I notice people talk about paddles, including your expected Elroq.
My 2025 Enyaq doesn’t have paddles, just DandB drive, I thought Elroq was similar to new Enyaq.
I’ve just started using B around town and I like it, it isn’t one foot driving but if you predict road a bit it’s almost a full stop.
Regards, wonky
Hi Robb, well done. I got an Enyaq in May and also switched my electric from Octopus to Ovo. I got the free money credit also.
You didn’t mention one great advantage with Ovo is, it’s charge anytime not just overnight. I’m sat here now whilst car is charging.
Happy motoring.

Hi all, thanks for replies.
Anymore Enyaqers out there with thoughts?
Regards, wonkyHi all, still loving my Enyaq after 6 weeks.
Couple of things I need advice on.I find it a bit of a pain having to put car into service mode just to lift wiper arms to clean blades, any other way?
Secondly, I’ve just used regen mode for first time ( drive mode B), I think it’s great , only around town today.
Anyone got any advice to pros and cons of using regen.
Regards, wonkyHi Rich and Jojoe, thanks for replies.
Forgot to mention, I was attempting wireless charging, I did remove case.
It’s an iPhone SE. It never dawned on me to use cable, (that’s tells you my tech know how)
It is annoying when one of the highlighted features of the car doesn’t work, it detracts from the nice points.
I’ll try to play about more with fan settings.
I’m reluctant to phone Service ,
they’ll say bring it in and I live 20 mls away.
I don’t find the booklet that came with car very helpful and I looked at the online fuller version and I couldn’t navigate it.
I’m an oldie now and the new tech doesn’t sink in very quickly. When cars were simpler , I could get in any car and just drive and operate it regardless of make.
Still I do like the electric charging and most of my charging will be at home and I’ve just done 200 miles to Lakes and back for £3.30p !!

Hi all, some advice please.
I’ve had my Enyaq for a month now and niggles are spoiling what is a lovely car.
I went for my first good run this week, 200 miles return, it used 60% of battery, so not bad.
I tried charging my phone, it was in and out of charge for no apparent reason. When it did charge it was next to useless, any thoughts?
Then , there’s the fan , it doesn’t stop at the setting I choose, having a mind of its own when I stop and start,
Will my car being a month old have the latest updates? Where can I check this?
Many thanks,
Regards, WonkyHi DumfriesDik, yes sorted, you and Vieuxtemps were both right. Obvious really but I couldn’t see it, thanks.
I knew I’d get an answer on here. Will post again when I’ve got used to car.
Regards, wonkyHi BIYT, don’t think you’re right about Motability letting you swap before your end of contract date.
Worth checking.
Regards, wonkyHi Mclovin, in my case it took 2 weeks. Hope this helps.

Originally I ordered the new Elroq with a 60 battery. I then saw the offer on here for £500 off Enyaq with 85 battery , so I cancelled and ordered the Enyaq.
What is yours?

May 1, 2025 at 12:16 pm in reply to: Help finding recent reply, giving a detailed analysis of EVs from build to end . #304992Hi Kjid5, thanks for that. It is there.
I am getting an EV in a couple of weeks and like you I will be charging at home most of the time, which allows for a few expensive charges when on long journeys.
Otherwise I would not have gone electric. I would have gladly got another hybrid. My hybrid Niro has been superb but a bit too low now to get in and out of.
I am apprehensive about learning all about charging away from home and all the different apps. I may well be back on here asking for help.

Hi Drebins2003, I’ve just ordered an Enyaq with £500 discount. It’s the facelift model.
My local dealer didn’t want to know about offers, so I travelled a few miles to another dealer and they were happy to do offer. I’m in Greater Manchester.
Regards, wonkyHi Tillman, great choice of car.
I recently ordered an Elroq 60 SEL.
I wondered about battery size but thought the 60 should be ok.
I then saw the special offer on here about £500 off Enyaq 85 edition.
I cancelled Elroq and ordered the Enyaq for £799 in the new dark green.
The Elroq 85 edition would suit but I went for the slightly bigger boot in Enyaq. Time will tell if it was right choice.
I had the charger fitted this week and get the car in 3 weeks as it was already in port.
Regards, wonky
Hi MattyM, I’m in greater Manchester.
Bumble bee appointed the installer, they came from Liverpool.
With guidance from Bumble bee , I chose the Hypervolt Pro 3 charger and it wasn’t the cheapest one they do but it suited my needs now and in the future.
Regards, wonky
Hi Highlandone, Didn’t really discuss when it would arrive at dealer.
It’s at port and I saw them reserved it and they said it will be with them in a couple of weeks. My changeover is 4 weeks this Friday, so I’m happy.
Hope all goes well for you.
Regards, wonky
Hi DumfriersDik, hopefully it’s the right choice, the Elroq was nice but I really fancy the Enyaq and the price was right.
You’re an Enyaq owner, so I may be picking your brains over the coming months.
