Hi all,  had my EV charger fitted yesterday ,it’s taken about 5 weeks from start to finish.

It took 1.5 hours to fit.  They put it on the front of garage which is attached to house. They connected in the electric meter box which is just there on side of garage, they connected up inside meter box and fitted new small fuse box/ surge protector just beneath in a waterproof unit, then ran approximately 2 meters of cable to the charger.

They put it Hypervolt unit which was lit up like Blackpool last night ( it has 6 different light effects), today I’ve learnt how to tone down brightness, so hopefully neighbours will be happy.

Just switched electric supply to OVO, to get their charge anytime tariff.

Just need a car now , which is set for middle of May.

So far I am happy with Bumble bee service and Hypervolt unit looks promising.

Thanks for letting us know the outcome of your Bumblebee install.

Did you get a choice of who will do the installation?

Where in the country are you located? In case Bumblebee are contracted to serve a certain area.

Did you get to choose the charger?

Hi MattyM, I’m in greater Manchester.

Bumble bee appointed the installer, they came from Liverpool.

With guidance from Bumble bee , I chose the Hypervolt Pro 3 charger and it wasn’t the cheapest one they do but it suited my needs now and in the future.
