Popped into my local Ford dealer to check out the new Ford Explorer and liked it so much I ordered one on the spot. Explorer Premium in Frost White with 21 inch wheels. Delivered exactly one week after I ordered it. Fantastic car.
Did you have to pay an extra £1000 AP to get those 21 inch wheels ?
Yes I had to pay extra for them.

No such thing as coincidences, not the only person at that Dealership to be waiting well over the expected delivery times and to be delivered a stock car from somewhere else… I’d be checking with Skoda directly and asking when it was ordered. And I wouldn’t hold my breath, the Pulman complaint handler couldn’t even apologise properly still waiting to hear what their going to do with the AP increase.
Well I’m done with them now, it was Pulman Škoda at Cramlington if anyone needs to know. After keeping me waiting for almost a year then finding out they’ve ordered the wrong car the only resolution they can offer is to reorder another car and go to the back of the queue again. I’ve cancelled the car, went to a Ford dealer this morning and collecting a Ford Explorer next week. The difference between the two dealerships was like night and day.
Which dealer was this?
I won’t name them publicly because I know it wasn’t done deliberately but I believe you recently had a bad experience with the same dealership.
The Advance Pack consists of crystal face grill, heated windscreen, HUD, Canton sound system and heated rear seats. I only need the heated rear seats for my handicapped daughter, the other bits come as part of the package. I could save a couple of grand but I don’t see why I should, I ordered the spec that I wanted and I have the order confirmation which includes the Advance Pack for £51,300. I don’t feel inclined to give them an easy way out by taking a lower spec car seeing as they mislead me about the delivery time from day one.
@Daviddec I ordered an 85x Sportline Plus from Pulman Cramlington last November, still haven’t got it yet.
This situation isn’t just with Peugeot, I ordered a Skoda Enyaq in November last year and was quoted 16 weeks delivery, 9 months later and it still hasn’t been built never mind delivered.
Ordered an 85x Sportline Plus last November, still not built, current guesstimate September/October
Mines an 85x Sportline Plus estate style in Graphite Grey with Advance Pack
Ordered Sportline Plus 85x last November, current guesstimate for delivery is October which will be 11 months if it doesn’t get moved yet again
I’ve got a Skoda Enyaq Sportline Plus on order with an AP of £849, just had a look today and it’s £2399, that’s a hell of a jump.
I was quoted 16 weeks when I ordered an 85x last November, current guesstimate from the dealer is “sometime in October “.
The new model is expected to launch in October so I’d be surprised if we get one of those.
85x with Advanced Pack. I was given the same build date as you till I rang them today to see how it was going only to be told it’s now week 35 (August). When I queried the order they asked if it was retail or Motability which makes me think people paying full price for the car are being pushed to the front of the queue.
I’m not very patient at all but stuck between a rock and a hard place here. If I cancel and go for something else I’ll be at the back of the queue again so probably be even later. Only bit of good news is the AP has gone down £900 since I ordered it 😃
Ordered Enyaq 85x last November. Phoned dealer this afternoon to see what was going on and he said that the car should have been built last week (week 20) but has been pushed back to week 35 with delivery probably in October. That’ll be 11 months if it actually appears then. We were quoted 16 weeks when we ordered it.
Had Motability cars for over 30 years and have never paid a penny before collecting the car. Currently waiting for a Skoda Enyaq with over £2000 of extras and the dealer has already said he’ll collect the AP at handover.
I also ordered a 85x Sportline Plus last November without a heat pump, still no idea when I’ll get it.
I’ve had motability cars for 33 years and have never paid the ap before collecting the car
Thanks for the advice everyone ?
My dealer has lowered the AP twice since I ordered my car, both times without being asked then sent me a nice email to inform me they had done it.
My man Scott back off his hols today called him about 20 mins ago to ask him to cancel order and then reorder so i get the £1599 AP,he went off the phone for 10 mins to speak to his manager has he was’nt up to speed with Q2 prices, and he just called to say all updated and he updated another buyers AP at the same time,so he/she will get a surprise. The system saying July for me.
That wouldn’t be Scott from Pulman Skoda by any chance?
My dealer emailed me to say he had reduced the AP without me even asking him, did the same in January, great dealership.
i ordered mine on 29/1 (coupe) and been told build week wc 16. Then two weeks after was pushed back to week 18. So instead may it will be June. Or as per Tuesday conversation with salesman even July. And I’m a bit pi*** off. I’m on enyaq group on Facebook and some people ordered after me and it’s been build and will get it in April. Like c’mon ??♀️
Ordered mine last November, quoted 16 weeks, current estimate 28 weeks, dealer says he has no control, all he can do is order a car and wait till it arrives.
