Ohme installed charger today. Looks ugly with the long cable’s around the house to get to the back of the house where the water metre etc is!
also i asked for the 8m cable but they said they haven’t been told to give one. He even showed me and it said epod only.
did people receive it in the post or were you given it on the day.
I think its abit ridiculous and waste of money to ship the car from usa to uk when germany is closer. The american plant should cater for behicles being delivered to that side of the world
i asked genius about my order which is an m sport and is to be built on week of 18 march and they said until it goes to code 150 they wont know which factory it has been assigned to.
Whaaat why america? I thought it was built at the munich plant.
has everyone else had their orders built in america too?That looks incredible. I was wondering what colour that is. Looks very unique and definitely wont be many around. I love the blue on it, gives it a contract and most other bmw i4’s wont have it. Thanks for the review.
Thank you for your review. Im counting my days down to get my i4 which is being built this month but not delivered until next.
It would be good to know if your car was on full charge when getting it from the dealer and how many miles on average your getting per charge. Is it the claimed or less?@marky36 I also ordered from Marshall’s and it was almost straight forward. The rep did it via phone as he told me he couldn’t do it online so he called bmw planning team and kept the same order just changed the model but my motability order didn’t change until last week which is fine as my build is on week 12.
theres others on here where dealers did both together with no issues.
Now thats a fantastic looking car. Its the same spec i had on order before changing to m sport… must say the blue on it looks better than i thought. congrats!

I have just checked on my Motability account and finally the model has been changed with AP showing as £5749 (£6499 m sport tech pack minus £750) however i asked for sun protection glass at cost £350 which is on the order form too but this amount hasn’t been added to the outstanding amount to be paid. Does anyone know if this is normal or should it be showing in my account to be paid with the outstanding balance.
also can people who are due to have their’s in the next couple of week let us know how many days it took their car from entering the factory for production to delivery to the dealer. Thanks
@JohnnyBravo1910 my dealer has also changed it with BMW but not on the motability site despite chasing him with emails and phonecalls. he says he need to call Motability, it cant be done online and its a long process and to leave it with him. My order isn’t due to be delivered until 2nd week of April so hope he does it before the 1st of April as if AP goes up again im screwed.

@mik3 i also went with Marshall’s mainly for the cashback and its over 70 miles distance for me. I did test drive locally st sytner and then went to marshall’s and everything was done by telephone for me.
@mik how is there a waiting list for it it doesn’t make sense?
I went with Marshalls and he did it the same day.

@Ryan thats a shame. Could you not ask your dealer to make the phone call for you? It appears so that this is the only way.
Im surprised they would have separate Motability slots to general public, slots are slots they should be equal and fair as the car technically at retail value costs the same.
Also I called my dealer today who wasnt there but had a conversation with another person and they said some orders were being delayed and this was mainly orders with lumbar support. I havent ordered this. I went to have a look at the online configurator too and it does say temporary restrictions so im not sure how much of an influence this will have on peoples order with the lumbar support.
@Yk i agree, shame that some dealers dont go through the extra effort.
i feel reassured that someone else has had their order swapped the same way, means it cant go wrong now.

But my order number has remained the same and my first order was sport and now M sport.
i checked with genius and they gave me a full trail

I was secure thinking everything is okay with my order but now everyday someone is having some issue with their order.
This is worrying. How are some dealers able to keep their customers slot yet others are not. Surely they all have access to one system.
my order still says sport in the motability site despite emailing my dealer . Everyday i bother the poor genius guys making sure its m sport and asking the same questions.
this sport to m sport has caused too many problems for people here. People have already waited 6 months plus and another 6 months is unfair.
I was quoted £180 for the tints for the 2 back and rear and was considering to cancel the £350 i paid for the i4 on order. Thought i would save myself £170 but after reading the above Im going to stick to the factory fitted glass.
thank you for bringing this to my attention as I didn’t even think about re-paying for the tints again if something happened as of course this couldn’t be covered whereas the sun protection glass would be.
@Matt good to know when your car went to 150 status I believe once it turns this status u cant make any changes so this is approximately 6 weeks before its production date when the status changes.

I went for the M sport tech pack, i was debating between this and the pro pack but if you lose range then im sticking with the tech pack now.
@Ayzee if you have a new order number it means he put it as a new order. My dealer also said to me that there are live slots and likely delivery May time but expect July. On the paperwork he will have to write July. I said it was a deal breaker for me and then next day he said he got it manually changed.
Im sorry this happened as I know your car was due quite early in March.
You have waited all this time, just another few months to get the car you actually want.
