That’s correct but annoying that I didn’t receive off peak rate of 8.99p for the off peak hours I set on the Ohme app and also set to not charge over that.
Im sorry I’m probably doing members heads in 😞

i woke up this morning thinking great that 13kw on the Ohme app confirmed 9p per kw =£1:19 thereabouts and confirmed off peak hours for charging that I manually set just incase as Ohme seemed to have different rates (cheaper) to my tarrif but when i looked at my smart meter it showed £4:48?

thsnks for the advice and I was looking at octopus and Ovo tonight and either looks good especially Ovo so maybe change to them and I’m sorry I’m persistent it as mentioned in a previous post i have a few health concerns currently a double transplant being one of them and whilst I’m still working.I’m trying to make things easier but this has tested me no thanks to EDF but it’s maybe just me being stressed but thanks so much for your replies and guidance 👍July 1, 2024 at 7:01 pm in reply to: Electricity tariffs and setting up of EV home charging procedures #283623So this morning I charged my car(1-6am)as my Ohme app along with my tarrif stated it would be 9p per me therefore i only charged 20% as I’ve not been getting the off peak rates from EDF even though my account states Go electric (june25)and the customer service from EDF has been awful as no one seems to be available that has knowledge of their own EV tarrif or issues so can anyone recommend a better energy supplier that also works well with Ohme chargers and as I am going to change to dual to include gas I believe to do that I sign up for variable first and then select an EV tarrif?

thanks for that however forgive my ignorance as I’m not familiar with APO or MCB but I followed the reboot instruction again by powering off for 15 minutes then back on and green light back on in the app so my off peak schedule starts at 1am-5am so hopefully it’ll go okay but will the Cupra app stop charging when Ohme gets to the 30% requested from my schedule?
June 30, 2024 at 7:21 pm in reply to: Electricity tariffs and setting up of EV home charging procedures #283466Hi
My charger is now offline and I’ve rebooted it but to no avail.
I’m not having much luck unfortunately with the EV set up yet I’ve applied all the relevant settings on the Ohme app but one thing is when it has charged that the Cupra app is also charging but is it possible to stop that and rely on the Ohme app only?
June 29, 2024 at 6:25 pm in reply to: Electricity tariffs and setting up of EV home charging procedures #283368Update:
I may have worked it out as Ohme has rates for go electric however I am go electric overnight so i decided to manually put my rates into the app that applies to my EDF Go overnight tarrif and enabled off peak at 8.99p(hoping it doesn’t think £8.99?).It has now recognised charging between 1-6am .
sorry I’m even doing my head in 😫
June 29, 2024 at 1:08 pm in reply to: Electricity tariffs and setting up of EV home charging procedures #283339Hi all
I am hoping someone can help please?
I’ve posted on another post mentioning I had my Ohme charger fitted yesterday (28/06)and I had put EDF go electric in as that’s my tarrif i then did an immediate charge which by the looks of things charged at peak rate 15.98 so only put in around 6kw to test and cost was correct at end of charge but last night i came home and plugged the car in around 8pm and noticed that my electricity meter showed from £3 to £6 in two days so i checked my charger and car and all seemed fine but today my electricity cost for yesterday is showing £7:76 but Thursday was £1:46?
It has led me to panic and Ohme states that EDF go electric is 15.98 peak and 8p off peak but my EDF account tarrif shows different and also less off peak to Ohme ?
im sorry if this is long winded but it doesn’t seem right in fact way off?
Any help or suggestions would be welcome and I have emailed EDF and Ohme but it seems everything is closed at the weekend?
Thank you
Ohme says 72 of 130 miles charged at 1am whilst cupra app says 76% of 80% charged with 35 minutes to go?
Also I’m concerned about my electricity cost states on the meter £1:40 for 2.74 kw?
Hi
so around 10:30 i checked my smart meter to see my electricity had jumped from £3 to &7 in a couple of hours!!
I changed the Ohme app setting to off peak only and it seems to be pricing properly..i think?
i thought it was going smooth but got a shock to be honest but seems to be settling but another thing i noticed was that the Cupra app has caught up and also shows the charge and is easier to understand but why set a schedule on the Ohme app when Cupra has the settings and also at what battery percentage you currently have and how long left to 80% yet my schedule on Ohme is until 6am it will it charge till then or stop when done ?
im now confused..sorry
Hi all,
i hope you’re well
i have had my Ohme charger installed today and all went well but if i may ask a question regarding selecting my energy supplier and tarrif.
I put EDF Go Electric in and it was recognised however the off peak and peak rate seemed cheaper, the off peak by 1 pence but still cheaper and the peak by more so i thought I had made an error however my first charge was £1.01 for 6.3kw which does amount to the peak charge rate shown on the Ohme app.I was delighted so I’ve now scheduled my charge and I’ve simply put 80% by each morning though won’t need that as I’ll only be charged for what’s needed as I can see me having around 40-50% already in the battery.I take it if I’m not home to charge it won’t make a difference as it’s not plugged in?sorry for what may be daft questions.
thank you and have a fantastic weekend 👍
Hi Ellie
thank you for your reply and kind words.
you are right regarding the cables as when I approached it for the first time I thought to myself “it’ll be light”but how wrong I was but I saw the funny side and fortunately I’m mobile with prosthetics so wasn’t too bad but definitely heavy but hopefully as time goes on things will improve 🤞
Hi
I meant to say the low mileage reading was on the app and vehicle was parked overnight but I’ve been in the vehicle for a short trip and the dash and app now read 87% and 199 miles 🤔.
Technology 😫
Hi all
My Born is at 89% and says 133 miles..does that seem right?
Hi Adrian
thanks ..sound advice to everyone.
i was trying to understand the model description as in V3 58kw but also 169kw which forgive me I didn’t quite understand as an EV beginner.
if anyone can explain to help my EV journey please?
Also thank you to everyone for their replies as your advice and help is priceless 👍
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Hi</p>
u used the Motability go card today and it was great though my opinion is that of an EV newbie and not of anyone familiar with other options.Hi all
thank you for the replies and advice.I received an email advising to sign up for go electric (EDF)and ill add gas to that as I’ve got a lot going on with my health currently (kidney/pancreas transplant hopefully 🤞)including dialysis, type 1 diabetes and double leg amputee and still working so I’m trying to simplify things and make it less stressful as I’m sure you all understand when you face something different or change but I’m looking forward to having an EV.I’m currently with EDF and have a smart meter so hopefully things will be okay.
Thank you
Thank you to everyone for your replies however I received an email after posting stating I should cancel the tarrif I was advised to go for and agree to EDF go electric but I can also include gas?
Not as simple or easy as I thought 😊
Collected my Cupra Formentor V2 DSG 2 weeks ago (Nevada white)and absolutely love it.
As with new cars it’s took me some time to set up the car/infotainment system and I’ve still to set up Cupra connect but the car is super comfy especially the driving position and the drive is excellent.I don’t require a large engine but the version I have has everything I need as it’s still punchy when needed and I’m currently getting 38mpg so not too bad until it breaks in.All in all I’m delighted with my choice ?- AuthorReplies
