Phil, the 2025 model so I believe is only minor updates, functionality – Etron route planning, ChatGPT, improved filtering for Chargers.(Additional functionality for Smartphone interface plus & Connect, Apple Car Play in virtual cockpit)
Stevepresley10, My local Audi dealer wouldn’t play ball when it came to discounts, even on extra’s. I test drove the Sline 40 Model, acceleration seemed ok, same with the handling. Until the Sline had come on the scheme I had ruled out the sport, daft as it seems I didn’t like the wheels. Ordered the SLine in February before the price rise, have a build date for the end of July, expect to get the car September. Advised I will be getting the 2025 model, at this stage Im not sure what changes that will bring. See what Q3 brings, would of liked the Sline Quattro if it came onto the scheme.
Spoke with my local Audi Dealer today about the Sline not being available, Dealer stated the SLine 45 is still available, for some reason the configurator isn’t pulling it through.
Been advised today that my Audi Q4 will be built towards the end of July. Will now be the 2025 Model. Unsure of any changes to spec at this stage.
Ordered Q4 20/2 given an estimated delivery date of 30th June.
Ix1 not showing on Search, found that if I circumvent the search process and to to https://www.motability.co.uk/find-a-vehicle/cars/search-results/bmw-ix1 it shows a number of ix1 models.
Wonder if this is going to be the final list.
Msport Tech Pack Pro is £500 more than it was previously listed.
Was contemplating an ix1, have now ordered a Q4.
Test drove the Q4 in November 2023, really liked the car, put off at the time by the sport trim level, mainly down to the wheels and more basic specification. Fast forward to February 2024 and I have now taken the plunge, ordered a Q4 45 Sline, together with park assist plus, graphite wheels and the function pack which adds a variable boot floor, making it easier to load things into the car. I had also been considering the BMW IX1 Msport with tech pack plus, eventually dismissing due to its lower range to that of the Q4, also preferring the looks of the Q4. (Previous 2 cars being X1’s maybe time for a change)
Finally got your new shiny X1 Glos Guy, looks amazing. Oyster seats give a much brighter interior, more maintenance as I am finding when wearing jeans.(Dr Leather Wipes easily removes). Wouldn’t change this decision even with the extra maintenance.
All in all probably couldn’t of planned it any better, new car and your anniversary. (Happy Anniversary).
Hi Carla
I was in the same position as you, my X1 was delieverd to the dealership on feb 20th this year. I was able to arrange delivery for the 1st March.
The new X1 is worth the wait, a big improvement over my previous X1.
Hi Richard, as far as I was aware the engines are now 178PS for the 2.0 petrol, my dealer wasn’t aware of this when I asked him. the November 2021 brochure I had definetely shows the output as 178PS and not 192PS that showed in the April 2020 brochure. BMW genius confirmed this to me before I took delivery on the 1st March. (enquired to see if I would be getting the 2021 model). The emissions is now lower on the new engine, 0-62 now 7.3 as opposed to 7.4 for the 192PS engine.
Model, 0-62, Combined MPG, Combined MPG l/100km, Combined emissions
xDrive20i xLine 192 (7.4) (37.2-38.2) (7.6-7.4) (172-167)
xDrive20i xLine 178 (7.3) (39.2-40.4) (7.3-7.0) (165-160)Hi Glos Guy, for your information the engine in the X1, is now 178PS, performance figures not impacted compared to the 190PS, MPG figures now better.
I believe this is the engine that is fitted in the Mini, noticed the change in the November 2021 brochure.(2021 Model)
Hi Glos Guy, I have the exact same model you are going to look at. The options I went for were the technology pack 1, Driving assistant plus and sports seats. The sports seats in my opionion are far better than the standard seats, Driving assisant plus gives you lane departure warning, traffic jam assist, active cruise control and high beam assistant.
I had the 2 litre diesel X1 prior to this, the 2 litre petrol is so quiet at the side of the diesel and the performance is amazing.
Hi Glos Guy, yes 1st March, I ordered mine August 2020, all in all about 7 months delivery. It is the colour Storm Bay, one of those colours that looks different dependant on the light. In my opinion it has a bit of blue in it, more noticable on a sunny day.

For wireless charging you need to specify the Technology Pack 1, the only issue ive found with it is my phone doesnt fit, if I leave it in the phone case.
My X1 was delivered on the 1st May this year, went for Storm Grey and Oyster, the Oyster leather looks amazing, however have now bought a Dye Block to prevent Blue Dye from jeans staining it. (Stained after a few days).
Hi K.Roberts, I ordered the X1 in August 2020, dealer advised that it should be with them the last week in February, for a March delivery date. If you ordered at the end of October with an expected date of March then that is good, when compared to my order. (Unless the date moves again). I requested the VIN number so that I could use BMW genius live chat to track progress , however have not been provided with this as yet. On a positive note hopefully I will get the 21 year model now which has better MPG figures.
Ordered BMW X1 beginning of August, spoken with dealer today who advised the car should be delivered late february. (Will collect as a 21 plate). As yet no build slot is showing and as such the dealer isn’t able to give me the VIN number. I am expecting that I will now receive the 2021 Model, which according to the November brochure has better MPG for the Xdrive 20i Xline.
January 6, 2021 at 4:49 pm in reply to: How long have people been waiting for their “ordered” cars? #134868Ordered BMW X1 20i Xline 8th August, last update from dealer was an expected delivery date of 1st week in March, although he expected this to come forward. Dealer not been able to supply a VIN number as yet, would check with BMW genius if I had this. Have advised the dealer that I would rather collect 1st March.
Ordered a BMW X1 on the 8th August, BMW dealership currently advising that delivery will be the 3rd week of February. I have spoken with BMW via the Genius online chat, they have advised that factory capacity is currently full for 2020.
Looking forward to having a petrol again after having Diesels for 18 Years, I have read somewhere that the X1 petrol is very quiet, sometimes not realising the engine is running. Matthew, what MPG are you getting?
Can recommend the X1, i’ve currently have an X1 2.0D SE which came up for renewal in August. I have ordered another X1, this time the Xline 2.0i AWD in Storm Bay and Oyster Leather interior.
Cannot really fault the X1, nice drive, spacious, good standard of equipment, although at the time of buying the SE, I did add options to bring the spec up. (Xline wasn’t on the list in 2017)
Hoping for delivery Dec/January, don’t have a build date as yet.
Ive also gone Oyster, looks nice, not sure how easy it will be to keep clean.
Hi Tyrone, good spec with both tech packs, encouraging that you’ve been told December/January. I placed my order in August, been advised Dec/January. Similar options to you but I went for Tech Pack 1, Sports seats and Driving Assistant Plus. (X Line 2.0i AWD). Managed to secure £500 discount off the AP, nothing though for extras. What colour did you choose?. I have ordered Storm Bay Metallic. Was interested in the Volvo XC40 as I already have an X1, however my wife doesn’t like the XC40. The X1 is a great choice.
