      Hi

Just had phone call from BMW dealer that we got our X1 from in March 2018 ,due for 3 year update in March 2021.

He stated that BMW cars are now going to be 4 months for delivery are I would need to order by end of November to guarantee delivery by March.

I thought this was a bit suspect as car sales are low at present  and was going to wait to see what cars are available in Q1 next year.  Can I ask your thoughts on this please.

      Many thanks

Wait it out and put a lease extension in place to get you there

Yes BMW production/orders are 4 month wait. I ordered mine mid July and it is now at Port of Exit. Handover is due in a few weeks but now lockdown is taking place and this sets it back to December 2nd! Increase to 5 months now. Really frustrating.

Ordered a BMW X1 on the 8th August, BMW dealership currently advising that delivery will be the 3rd week of February. I have spoken with BMW via the Genius online chat, they have advised that factory capacity is currently full for 2020.

Yes it will take 4 months if not longer unfortunately and it’s down to covid. They are catching up on orders and every lockdown puts it back even further. If you want a BMW I would order it but not pay a deposit and come to an agreement if the AP goes down (unlikely) before you get the car that you can have the lower priced AP. Might be worth asking if BMW is what you are after
