If you’re getting your charger through Motability It’ll probably be an Ohme charger. If so, you can lock the buttons so that nobody can just use your charger when you’re not there.
So I have 20″ wheels on my Enyaq and my wife has 21″s on hers. There is definitely a difference in comfort and ride quality.
It’s each to their own I suppose but it’s worth considering as there’s more to 21″ wheels than just looks.
For balance, Ingram Skoda/SEAT/VW Ayr. I was unsure of the sports seats in the Enyaq before we ordered so called to ask for a test drive of a least a couple of hours so the wife and I could both drive it on various types of roads. They told me they had one but it was booked for a test drive that afternoon but if I came in the next morning after 10am they’d have it charged waiting for me, just have it back by 5 o’clock. When we returned the car we were even offered an Edition model to drive to compare the seats. We are on our 5th car from Ingrams and they’re great. They always offer a loan car when the car is in getting serviced or MOT, or will collect and return it if that’s easier for us. And most importantly, they don’t treat us any different because we are Motability customers.
As I was reading this, I had so many things to say but Glos Guy said it all.
I would add however, if you think your recent car choices have posed problems for you, paying £3500 for a Nissan Leaf and saying it’s good news, is just asking for more of the same.
There was stop put on Enyaq 85x factory order from 21 May due to battery supplier change. It is also expected that this may also eventually affect the Elroq.
Page 3 of the deals and special offers topic has an offer for the facelift Enyaq.

Speed camera warnings are part of the Traffication service. This is an annual subscription with the first year included. It’s £4.50 a year and can be purchased through the app.
If it’s stopped working and your car is under a year old, give your dealer a phone and see if there is anything they can do to get it going again without you having to pay for it to be restarted.
Motability Deals & Special Offers Q1 2025 (1st Jan 2025 to 31st March 2025)
This was posted last week in the offers thread. Would be worth looking into.
I have a Skoda Enyaq, Ohme Home Pro and Intelligent Octopus. I’ve had my car about 6 months now and never had an issue charging. I plug in when I get home, tell Ohme how much charge to add, then forget about it until the morning. It’s yet to fail me.
Just make sure the charger Bumblebee supply is compatible with Octopus as the Skoda can’t be controlled by Octopus.
Wazza, your dealer will register the car and put the registration plates on as part of the preparation for handover to you once they receive it. It will be registered before you enter the PIN. If you definitely want a 25 plate, contact the dealer and tell them.
Mine was approved the next day without any problems.
If anyone is reading these posts and are being put off by the hassle these surveys cause some of us, don’t worry, if you can’t do it or are having trouble doing it, contact Ohme and they’ll send someone out to do the survey for you.
Oops, just checked and it’s available now.
I have the 85x Sportline and was happy with all that came as standard so didn’t specify any additional options.
My advice however would be to wait until the facelifted car is able to be configured on the website and the new brochure is uploaded, just to make sure there aren’t any significant spec changes.
My Enyaq 85x is currently getting 220-230 from a full charge.
Just checked Reddit and it appears the VW id models are also affected.
So it’s back to good old fashioned defrosting this morning by having to actually go outside to start the heater.
Yes, the app is down. Something to do with the servers. It’s been on and off since yesterday afternoon. It’s also affecting some Cupra’s as well so must be a bigger VW issue.
I have an 85x estate and it’s been faultless too. The best car I’ve ever had.
If the key unlocks the tailgate, doors and charging flap then it may be the button on the key to open the tailgate that’s faulty.
Have you tried the other key to rule out any issue with the key?
Also, it may just be one of those strange Enyaq gremlins that pop up now and again and will fix itself the next time you use the car

For anyone with other suppliers, EDF are offering 8 hours free on Christmas day between 8am and 4pm. You need to sign up for their Sunday Saver Challenge to be eligible.
EON are offering free electricity for 3 days from 24-26 December. They are also waiving the standing charges for these days. To be eligible you need to sign up to the Next Rewards Days 12 months fixed tariff by 3rd December. You must have a smart meter, an online account and pay by direct debit.
I’m just waiting patiently in the hope that Octopus comes up with something similar.
November 26, 2024 at 11:45 pm in reply to: Electricity tariffs and setting up of EV home charging procedures #294085Ours took just over 2 weeks from ordering the car to having our home pro fitted.
There is mention of it over on the German Enyaq forum and their deliveries have been delayed. Maybe it’s just about battery management and not the actual batteries then. Probably the delay is waiting for parts to arrive.
Servanus771, this is because of a specific incident that has occurred at the factory, not sure exactly what it is though but I’ll keep looking. It’s affected about 100 cars and they are all to have their batteries replaced. Skoda have described it as a “field incident”.
If I find anything else, I’ll post it.
At least it was discovered before the cars left the factory.
My app was playing up this morning too. It couldn’t seem to wake the car up and wasn’t getting any data from the car. It fixed itself after a couple of hours.
Keep any conversations polite, you’re more likely to get somewhere.
And although you’re technically right that the car is already registered to you, it’s not your responsibility until you enter your pin. The dealer will know this and won’t want to be left with a pre registered car, so if you’re prepared to meet halfway with him, there’s a good chance he’ll do it.
Good luck, and as Glos Guy said, don’t let this take the shine off new car day. I picked mine up on Tuesday and love it, so while your issue is frustrating, you’ll soon move on once you realise what a great car it is.
Hopefully the handover went well MickC. I collected mine on Tuesday and agree with everyone who says it was worth the wait. It’s a great car.
My dealer has been excellent. It was fully charged for us and he spent plenty of time talking us through everything in the car. He even called this afternoon to ask how we were getting on and if we had any questions or problems. It’s been a long wait, 28 weeks, but having driven it now for 4 days, that is all a distant memory.
And hats off to Motobility, our good condition bonus is in the bank already.
