Similar situation to me,
I’ve completed the online form and have all the permissions done. Ohme have also contacted me to let me know the instillation provider – virtus energy – will be in contact soon, but still nothing, been about 5 days, anyone know how long this period takes?
as far as the instillation, our consumer unit is also indoors, but not far from the charging point. I think it should be simple (but I’m not an electrician), although I’m not quite aware what amp rating our fuse is. Hoping 100 or at least 80. Still haven’t changed electricity provider, I’m with British Gas. Was hoping to go for ohme pro, not sure what length charger they provide with that. Expecting the car in about 2 weeks if all goes well. Any tips or advice, would be appreciated
Hello – Could someone please tell me how the process was to get the charger installed? once I ordered my car, I received a text message from Ohme with an online form to fill out. I completed this form and it said I would hear from Ohme soon – that was about 5 days ago, does anyone know how long they take to contact once online form has been submitted? also, how long is the typical wait time for the charger to be installed once they contact? thanks again

Absolutely amazing news @Ayzee ! I’m so excited for you, I know you have been waiting a long long time and remember discussing with you many months ago, so it’s about time ! :), once it gets delivered to dealership you can either wait for them to call you or drop them a call just so they acknowledge you’re eagerly waiting. Also, I believe if you want it to be registered without a green strip plate, now is the time to inform them! (I’m not sure about this though). Please drop pics or a small review after collection 🙂
@Firecape , you need to get your order number from your bmw dealer, and then use that order number with bmw genius live chat on the bmw website, they will be able to give you more specific progress on your order and estimated build/delivery date
@Ayzee , mine is currently still 112 for build beginning June 24th and delivery around Mid July@Ayzee any update on this?

I’m not entirely sure how the process will work as the dealer hasn’t gotten back to me yet. But I assume if you have already been approved on motab for an i4, the order the dealer makes with the factory is independent of that. I wasn’t really after the new shape, I think they downgraded the interior ambient lighting, but my dealer said I have no option but to reorder if I wanted my H/K. I would go for pro pack + h/k (again). I think if you have already placed an order with motab before it was removed – I don’t see the issue. It is slightly confusing though in terms of packages and change of price, what happens if packages are more expensive on new shape? It’s something I would have to discuss with my dealer I guess
Just to give an update – I decided to make a completely brand new order with my dealer due to the wrong specification being built. At least I get the LCI i guess, but it will be around a whole years wait now including the 7months already gone. Also, @Ayzee , this is very cheeky but if you’re missing out on the LCI by a week, making a last minute change to the specification MIGHT be able to delay its production just enough for an LCI. I have no clue if it’ll work though
@Mm7 yes! That is exactly what happened word for word, it’s still 150 (production week starting tomorrow), but it’s doomed now, H/K was so important to me (hence why I was happy to pay £900). I’m not sure how Motability will feel about aftermarket audio upgrades
@Mm7 Motability have already accepted the application for the I4 7months ago. The order the dealer makes with the factory is completely independent of that, it would just be as if the cars delivery was delayed

they tried to deny liability by claiming the option wasn’t available to add on during the time of the order and now it is, which is a total lie, and makes it even worse. They said accept the car how it is (wrong spec) or re-order for another 5 or so month wait. I’ve been eagerly waiting its arrival checking the status with genius daily – so it’s heart breaking to hear. Totally torn on choicesI’ve confirmed now the ProPack doesn’t even come with HiFi. I’m devastated. Will be reordering due to my dealer screwing up my order and not adding H/K. Feel awful… 7months wait down the drain
I’m being told by BMW genius (very debatable choice of name) that the Pro Pack I4 35 comes with the base (6speaker) setup. Are you able to confirm that it actually comes with HiFi in the UK without optioning it? Do you have tweeters in your pillars?

i appreciate your input lots. Two questions, Are you able to manually adjust bass on the HiFi? And If given the option to trade in your I4 for four months and to receive a H/K one (all other specs the same) , would you?
Please could I get some help from anyone who’s got their i4 already.
My dealer screwed up my order. They forgot to option H/K and it’s entered status 150. I’m more than devastated. They said I could either put a new order for the facelift or accept it as it is.
whoever has the standard pro pack I4 (HiFi audio system) how is the audio please? I would really truly appreciate any guidance

I had a slight issue and wanted to hear someone else’s opinion on it please.
i had originally ordered in I4 Msport with tech pack. Eventually, I ended up changing to Msport with pro pack & HK as an optional extra. I had signed all the forms with the correct AP and the dealer called to confirm the changes have been made. I also spoke to BMW genius and requested spec list and the change had been confirmed with them as well… all except Motability – who still show tech pack as the ordered vehicle. I was worried and quite anxious about this as I want everything to go smoothly, so I contacted the dealer to let them know the Motability order is still showing up as tech pack as the car package. They replied to reassure me saying – ‘do not worry, it has been changed’. The vehicles are now off Motability and the site does not show the updated pro pack as my ordered car. Do you think this will pose an issue when paying my AP? As the pro pack is considerably more expensive than the tech pack and it seems Motab haven’t agreed to paying it from my end… but I contacted the dealer – they seem confident it’s sorted and told me not to worry, what more can I do I guess
@AKX honestly I think enjoying the car > preserving range. Unless you’re on a road trip.
Your build is absolutely beautiful. How does the power delivery feel? Does it ever feel like it’s lacking power? 0-60? I would have preferred the e40 for the 70 or so extra horsepower but wondering if this feels fun/enjoyable enough
Strange, the pro packs price doesn’t seem to have changed on the configurator for new orders from retail customers
@AKX, I did it, I changed to the Pro pack with HK as an optional extra. Thanks for reminding me this was always an option

Exactly the same as me Ayzee. My build week has been 29th of April for a long time. I checked last week and they told me 1st of April. I checked yesterday and they told me 24th of June. I honestly don’t have much faith that they know what they’re talking about at the bmw genius anymore. It is absolutely ridiculous if it’s June
