Yes, finally got my charger fitted by them almost 3 months after taking delivery of my car! Delay after delay, but when finally fitted has been trouble free so far.
My charger now updated to 2.65 and all working well again!
Has anyone ordered an EV through Parks motor group and came across their rather high “company policy” charges for delivering it with either 50% or 100% battery?
Hi Shaun
I picked up my bz4x from Parks Toyota at end of January. It was charged to 100% free of charge.
Really good looking car and love the colour. Hope you have many trouble free miles?
Tried to use mine at Ionity fast charger and – it didn’t work! Haven’t attempted to use it since.
Great news, hope all goes smoothly and you love your new car ?
Hi Honeymonster, glad to hear new car day is approaching. I’m sure we were on the Antara owners forum together, and were both glad to see the back of the Antara with it’s weird method of regenerating, usually when you just arrived home after a long drive! Like you I only kept it a year, and that was far too long!
Hi @Pudsey we’re the same, old granny will have to do till 12/4, it’s our fault it’s late, we had a shed to take down where the car space is, and it’s taken a while, long story!
Really surprised how well granny has coped so far! I find that if you don’t let it go below about 55% charge granny will top up to 100% overnight?
Hi Kezo, sadly no mellow yellow dot for me? And sadly still no home charger either☹️ After waiting 3 months to get an isolator switch fitted it was finally done last week. Sent Ohme the obligatory picture, they’ve forwarded it to Smarter Utility and now we wait again. Still, the granny is doing a great job so far?
John, yes it went well, would definitely recommend Vantage York, Adam was brilliant. Thanks Adrian, will check in the morning, and how do we turn the dash lights up, can hardly see the speedometer?
Hi Vinnie
Had my BZ4X for 6 weeks now and done over 2000 miles, absolutely loving it! Regards the dash lights, the small buttons on the bottom right of your dash picture turn the brightness up and down.
Think I will, that’s if I can even get through to them! Not impressed at all.
Picked up my BZ4X in precious metal yesterday. Was gutted to leave behind my BMW 220i active tourer after nearly 4 years, but so far loving the car, really smooth drive and very comfortable. Just wish I could get my home charger sorted out now – after I sent in my survey was told that I needed an Isolater switch fitted before they could go ahead with the install. Contacted my supplier (Ovo) and the first date they could give me to do this was 20th February, and they are charging me £160 for doing it!
Same colour for me too, think it blends in best with the plastic. Hoped I might have mine by now, but keeps getting pushed back a fortnight! Not too bothered as my Ohme charger has not even got off the ground yet. Apparently I need an isolator switch fitted before they can install the charger, and OVO have given me the 20th February as the earliest they can do that! God knows how long after that before they fit the charger☹️
That’s just what I liked about it John, it’s a bit different from the mainstream. Glad to hear there’s a few of us taking the leap together!
Hi Vinnie. I hope to take delivery of my bz4x in January. It will be my first electric car and coming off 4 years with my BMW 220i auto I don’t know how I will get on. I love the look and spaciousness of the Toyota, I’ve gone for precious metal as I think the plastic blends in best with it, what colour did you choose?
@des I also had a look at the Enyaq and just preferred the all round look and feel of the Toyota. Best wishes with your choice.
Last Thursday I took the plunge and ordered the BZ4X (really rolls off the tongue)?. I am well into my 4th year with my BMW 220i active tourer, which I have absolutely loved. I fully intended to keep the car for the full 5 years, but by chance I parked next to a bz4x a few weeks back and really liked the look of it.
A couple of trips to the Toyota dealers, two test drives, and despite the fact that I have always been sceptical regarding electric cars in January I will find myself driving one! Precious metal pearlescent paint at no extra cost and the promise of 100% charge on delivery sealed the deal. Now waiting for contact re installation of home charger. What have I done?!

Beautiful looking car, hope it gives you years of enjoyment.
Same here too on IPad.
Think you’ve got your standard and enhanced mobility a bit mixed up there Wigwam?
I’ve got a BMW 220i active tourer auto, mineral white. Had it for 11 months now and thanks to COVID have only done 7000 miles. Love it, and will probably look to extend at end of three years.
Welcome back Winston! How have you been getting on with your Tiggy?
Martin I’ve only just read this dreadful news, and my heart goes out to you and your family. There is nothing anyone can say to ease the pain you feel right now, so I can only offer this – the next few weeks are for getting through as best you can. Certain things must be done, accept any help offered and remember you and the kids are still a family who love each other. All seems very dark just now, but believe me when I say that there will come a time when all the good memories overcome the sorrow. Thirty two years does not just disappear, hold onto them and you and the family will find a way to carry on together. I wish you well.
