I see your cars, what happened between the Antara and the seat tarraco. Were they both not suitable?

The Antara Motability returned as was in Garage a lot, with corrosion on panels and DPF regens so they advised us to change. The Tarraco was in late wives name and when she passed i couldn’t swap to my name, as I was in receipt of War Pension mobility whilst she was on DLA.

Hi Honeymonster, glad to hear new car day is approaching. I’m sure we were on the Antara owners forum together, and were both glad to see the back of the Antara with it’s weird method of regenerating, usually when you just arrived home after a long drive! Like you I only kept it a year, and that was far too long!

Hi Pudsey yes mine would want to do a regen every time after 300 plus miles on motorway and dual carriageway when we where moving house from Wiltshire to Northumberland. I also had the problems with rust appearing as bubbles under paint at six months old and after the third time in for respray of different panels motab said enough is enough as was a faff getting hire car each time

I shall be, the 5 seat awd version has 1800kg towing limit with 100kg noseweight.

Is it the Acenta Premium or N Connecta E-4orce.

I’d be interested what mpg you get without towing.

Kezo I was fortunate enough to order when it was the N Connecta E4orce. Once i have done a refuel i can work out the actual economy rather than the guess work of trip computers. First impressions though from the run back from Edinburgh Dual A roads and B roads and was reckoning 42mpg. There will be a lot of playing on first tank different modes etc

Congrats, Honey Monster. Lovely car and as built in Japan, lasting quality. I was disappointed that the Tenka did not appear in Q2, as only apparent option to get a powered tailgate, which has become a necessity, sadly.

clappedout, I know the tekna model would have been the perfect spec with electric tailgate and heated seats. At moment being tall i can reach tailgate easily, though as first time since 2009 i have had a manual tailgate it is strange. But a plus is the rear doors opening nearly 90 degrees gives nice easy access there.

with my worsening condition, the power tailgate a necessity.  The doors perfect as we often transport grandchildren in car seats. Fingers crossed for Q3.

500 miles done now and first impressions still positive. Seats a lot more comfortable than the Kuga for me. still learning bits and bobs on the car. Suspension comfortable and doesn’t roll to much for  a big car. When you need to move in a hurry like filling a gap it shifts :).
