I just got s letter dated 16/6 from Motability saying I can now place an order ,
Im in Scotland and i think all the dealers are still closed .

im assuming it means your official change date is 16th September? if so it means they have caught up. if not are you already on an extention and when was your change date, (it will help gauge how far along they are).
my guess is as with many big organisations the letter is an automatic one its not taken into account regions and current circumstances, if not today i think Scotland and Wales are only a few days away from easing restrictions for the likes of showrooms.
I think showrooms in Wales have the green light to open fully (with the necessary precautions) from Monday 22nd.
The showrooms in Wales, (the VW ones anyway), have been open for the last two weeks although only one salesperson at each site.

Except that Motability are not yet permitting handovers in Wales. Hopefully this will change in line with showrooms being “officially” open.
JS – My change date 16th July & no sign of a letter yet.
thats why im trying to figure out, it almost seems some between certain dates have been skipped, im wondering if it may be due to the automatic six month extended leases so the computer is not reading it as due yet until the 3 month period including the added 6 months.
either way it should all sort itself out when they relax and feed new info into the computers come 1st July
@JS, I had my extension through on 25th March and the extension (lease end) is to start on the 1st September.
However, today, I received my letter telling me I can order.? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?
In regards to scotlanf I phoned motability and they confirmed to me july 1st is the date which we can order from . Thats everyone including lease extensions. This creates a dilemma. The tiguan may not be on q3 which if it isn’t sets us back a lot should be the 29th so we can at least have a look at q2 .
I also got an extension in march because of whats going on so i take it that also takes me till sepember .
saw someone saying the xc60 is coming back on i suppose the deposit will be high
Our usual handover date 05 september had a letter about 2 months ago with regard to the 6 month extension ,but then receive a letter this morning say we can now order
