Yes, finally got my charger fitted by them almost 3 months after taking delivery of my car! Delay after delay, but when finally fitted has been trouble free so far.

Speak with Ohme asking if they can change to an installer closer to home. It maybe Smarter Utility is waiting to book you in, once there is another job further north.
February 8, 2025 at 10:15 am #297317Ah never thought about that!!
i will soak on Monday with them…I also wonder if confusing where I live with similar mashed place near to Glasgow lol
February 8, 2025 at 11:31 am #297323It could be as it is quite common business that Ohmes subcontractor is having difficulty after taking his slice of the pie getting another already busy subcontractor in your area to take on your install for a smaller piece of the pie.
Great advice above from Kezo that imo is worth following
February 8, 2025 at 11:37 am #297325Be polite but, forcefull in your request, prefering someone local. Also make the point, if something were to go wrong that couldn’t be sorted online, you don’t want to be waiting for them to find a spare day to travel x miles and back again, Bla bla bla…. 🙂
February 8, 2025 at 1:32 pm #297336I found this lot to be cowboys. Missed appointments, after missed appointments. Had to speak to mobility in the end for a different contractor.
February 8, 2025 at 2:02 pm #297339Thanks everyone for solid advice will contact ohme Monday via chat…seems best and only way to chat to them other than long on hold on a call
February 8, 2025 at 3:21 pm #297345We ordered our Enyaq in June last year, was prompted to do the survey by Ohme the same week ( which isn’t easy in a wheelchair- do think they should send some out to do it) & Smarter utility fitted it in the July – not in my preferred location and cable is above skirting ( thankfully hidden by kitchen units / white goods in the utility room) we have the home pro with the 8m cable – in less than 6 weeks the cable tidy was buckling under the weight of the cable – contacted smarter utility twice and was ignored – Ohme sent another installer and they replaced it . The replacement also buckled before we took delivery of the car in mid December ( so five months or so warranty time wasted with a charger not being needed yet) we have since replaced the cable tidy with a 3d printed one from eBay that also puts the holster at 90 degrees so protrudes less from the wall. the Ohme app and Skoda app api don’t talk to each other so you have to manually tell Ohme how much % charge you want.
overall can’t complain too much for something I only paid for upgrading to the 8m cable – but not overly impressed with Ohme ( for 1k the build quality of the cable is awful) the app isn’t the best – and wasn’t impressed with Smarter utility either – it was fitted quickly – months before I took delivery of the car.
2024 Enyaq 85x Sportline Plus, 2021-2024 5008 GT Premium, 2016-2021 Golf GTD DSG, 2013-2016 Ds3 D-sport 1.6 thp, 2010-2013 Mondeo 2.2 Titanium X, 2007-2010 Civic 2.2 EX, 2004-2007 Mazda 3 2.0 Sport, 2001-2004 Fiesta 1.6 Zetec-S, 1998-2001 Escort 1.6 Zetec
February 8, 2025 at 5:53 pm #297349Ohme App works pretty much perfectly with my Enyaq 85X.
Only use the App to charge the car. don’t set the car or Skoda App to do any charging. If you have Intelligent Go make sure your price cap is set at 7 or 8p and Dynamic Charging is switched on.
There’s an excellent setup guide here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZXp7v8GhEA
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
February 10, 2025 at 12:46 pm #297437So according to ohme they will chase up smarter utility for the quote its been 10 days now , they said Thursday and Friday and again today” it’s does seem to be taking long time we will chase it up “
and even tho smarter utility are a 163 miles from my home they are the local installation company for my area lol
February 10, 2025 at 1:18 pm #297441Speak with Motability and explain the situation, also your nearly 200 miles away and that you want a more local installer, that is also local should something ever go faulty.
February 11, 2025 at 12:47 pm #297485So called Motability ans there saying as installers have been appointed to give itv time I should hear from them and if in get car b4 that I can use public chargers using Motability card etc all of which will cost me fortune….ohme chased smarter utilities up again who have said they will have it done by today…so ohme have said if not in 48 hours they will appoint another installer ….i think that they just don’t want job as too far away etc
