Thanks for the useful info.

The garage is my only off street psrking and is 10m away at the end of the garden (terrace house). I live on a busy main road so don’t think fitting one to the house would work unfortunately.

I would really like to make the switch to electric. But I’m stuck with the fact I can’t charge at home. I have a garage but it doesn’t have power to it. My house is privately rented and the landlord has no intention of paying for the work that would need to be done.

@Bandit you make some excellent suggestions, the kind of changes I was expecting with the recent upgrade. But all we got was some fresh graphics.

Scheme is excellent ss stated but car search tool leaves a lot to be desired.

I wonder who motability use as test groups for suggestions on ways to improve the site?

Affraid it’s the data behind it and whoever inputed it are to blame.

The transporter doesn’t show up as you say as the data says N/A for No. Seats. (Had trouble finding it in Q1 can’t find it at all now). Another example Peugeot 5008 used to be an MPV but it was switched to an SUV nobody has updated this on the search tool though.

The Mini Countryman has a high powered petrol with all wheel drive, choice of manual and auto. AP seem resonable and quite often mini get good dealer discounts. It’s just been revised as well and looks even better now imo.

Waited for weeks for this disappointing list.

It does seem to be a list complied in a rush. I’m surprised they released it. Thought they would have been better using there resources into sorting cars in the system and starting afresh on July 1st for new list.

I think I like the searching and researching the most. Chasing cars if you like. As soon as I get the new car I’m looking what’s going to be an option in 3 yesrs time. Never been able to drive medical reasons but have been a car nut since I could walk, talk look at pictures of cars.

My Touran never came with an inflator kit. Never thought much of it as I thought it had the Conti self sealing tyres. But at its recent service the technician said it was missing and needed putting pack. So now I’m wondering if it should of had one all along.

Yes my car went in for a repair to nationwide after getting hit while parked. It was collected from Hull and taken to Scunthorpe. I made sure to ask RSA if this was ok told there covered through business insurence.

That’s interesting. If your normally able to extend your lease to 5 years do you get a weekly refund as well?

I like the idea of an extension but selfishly think if I’m paying the same amount each week might as well have a brand new car instead of 4/5 year old one.

2 year old VW Touran 1.4tsi SEL Manual.

Front Headrest needed replacing due to a recall and the multi media system won’t shuffle my songs on the SD card but other then that it’s a good car, very happy with it.

Yes but the highest model was a 150bhp SEL 2wd manual. There’s alot of models of the Allspace not on the scheme. Higher powered engines with 4 wheel drive and auto gear boxes for example.

My assement was another case of what I told them (ATOS) person just wrote the complete opposite. Luckily I went with my cearer/wife who was totally schocked when she read the report. I think it’s appalling that they can litterally write lies. I wish I’d recorded it. Wonder if they’d even let you?

I was perhaps naive going from DLA to PIP. Hadn’t heard all the horror stories at the time. But once I’d got my consultants to write some really good letters on my behalf everything overturned and awarded full for both elements.

I have enjoyed the lack of traffic, quietness, and better quality of air this lockdown has brought but for me I can’t wait for nomality to return and return to living as opposed to existing.

My experience of this so far is trying to home school three primary school children all at different ages and levels of how much interaction, guidence they need. Also having a single laptop which they all need to be using st the same time.

It has not been easy, and will be well behind the standard of education there school would achieve.

So I hope schools can return to normal at some point.

Thought the same thing Byrdo.

They have helped lots with the auto extension but it must benefit them also. The cost if everyone up for renewal said no take the car back could be significant a one, with no means to move the cars on and recoupe there money.

Motability is as much a business as the next and needs to get cars turning over. Dont they contribute 10% to new registrations each year?

As we are so often reminded they do make a tidy profit and won’t want to sit idly.

The sketch is very aggressive and is to hype up the media. The actual facelift version has been seen testing around the Nurburgring and is much more subtle. New Golf style lights, dash and mild hybrid tech are main changes for 2021 version.

ID4 will be the electric powered one so only 48v mild hybrid for Tiguan.

Home schooling 3 children of different ages and levels with one laptop PC is not easy.

We all will feel were paying for something we can’t fully use. We might be able to pop to shops or work but the enjoyable bits of popping to country side or a beach for a walk/fresh air, going to see family/friends are restricted at present.

I’m still greatful the car is sat outside ready to go at a moments notice, and waste far to much time looking into cars for the future.

I think were around two to three weeks behind the likes of Italy and Spain, so can see the start of the ease in lock down after the next three week review.

As for not using public transport I can understand that people will want there own transport but can’t see the rush to buy new possible second hand.
