Important bit for me load space for wheelchair, moby scooters.

yeah the hondas bit is actually quite small so maybe not ideal for you anyway. Just a suggestion.

I find the foot gestures very temperamental hardly ever works.

it’s never failed me. Not once.

How are the ZRV owners getting on with their cars ? I’m told June now if order and will have the blind spot detection

very very well. I am only getting 39mpg but I am not bothering with the regen as, even at it’s strongest setting,  it’s so weak and takes an age to even slow by 30mph. The mirrors are massive and there isn’t actually any blind spots so my lack of BSM hasn’t bothered me at all. It’s a very smooth drive but will also fly down a country lane with ease. I find the seats very very comfortable on every drive and the Bose system has proper bass and a nice crisp sound. Foot gesture on the boot hasn’t let me down once and the car feels massive with the sunroof. Road sign recognition is a pain as the speed flashes in the HUD and on the digital drivers display but I turn it off every trip. There are 6 hot keys on the bottom of the infotainment which can be programmed to anything which helps with ease of use. The steering wheel gets very warm very quickly but the front and back seat heating is a bit tepid as the leather is quite thick. Still loving it!!

We had 2 tone paint on our megane and it was free. I’d guess the austral is the same.

No…. but in my previous Megane and the Ateca before, the modes really didn’t cause the MPG to get worse,  its the driver!! I could get the same mpg in every mode and prefer the steering on sports mode so I use that most of the time. If, like the megane,  I could personalise each setting (acceleration, suspension, steering) then I would pick normal for all but sports for the steering. Unfortunately we only have presets on the ZR-V

I read a review yesterday the owner set the regen braking to max said virtually one pedal braking and got 58 mpg ! Has anyone tried this ?

false. So far from the truth…. the regen is rubbish. Even at max, its no where near as strong as the megane. 1 pedal driving is NOT possible. The car will creep at 4-5mph  even with max regen on. From 70mph it takes around 30secs to slow the car to 5mph. And 58mpg? Again… all down hill lol. No chance of getting that over a long period… maybe over 10 miles lol

Yeah it’s the best all round car I have ever had in 30 years.  Had mine a month now and loving it. 38.2mpg is my 1000 mile average though so not great but tbh I just drive it without worrying. Enjoy!

I have never had issues with any dealership. 1x Nissan,  2x seat,  1x renault and this honda. All have treated us very well and never been made to feel 2nd class.

I will certainly have to disagree about the 20in wheels and potholes…. it’s dreadful. The wheels are too big and crash over potholes instead of bouncing over and it doesn’t handle anywhere near as well as the ZR-V….. the ZR-V is a much better ride and the suspension is superior in every way, even through a fast corner.

I had the megane techno for 5 months and only returned it a couple of weeks ago due to not getting a home charger installed. But the megane itself was amazing. Yes,  at 0°c the range was only 150 miles and the rear window is an issue unless you remove the centre rear headrest. This solved this for us but you do get a digital mirror on the iconic. It was fast,  comfortable and very nicely put together. Probably the best looking EV hatchback out there as well. Just not very good at battery management and not very economical but a blast to drive! We have the ZR-V now and that suits our needs perfectly ?

@Shuffler3 – Apologies if I’ve missed it but have you actually taken the car for a test drive yet? Seen a few questions from you asking about how low it is, space in the boot, etc. Don’t put an order in until you’ve seen the car and driven it. I know it’s difficult because of where you are and lack of dealerships but if you get the car and it’s not a good fit, it’s a difficult situation to get out of. Hope I’ve just missed something in the thread and I’m bringing this up for no reason. Hope it all works out for you.

<p style=”text-align: right;”>All I have done is sat in it . No opportunity for me to test drive .Believe me I have watched and read every review out there. Just going to have to take a chance .

I don’t think you will be disappointed.  Barring the lack of lumbar adjustment,  is so configurable. And it’s a lovely thing to drive and to spend time in. Especially the advance with that sunroof and Bose. M</p>

Thanks JMC . Is it really low. Uncomfortable?[/quote]  my missus says it’s not uncomfortable at all once in the car but she likes to be higher up so not perfect in that sense and we would rather have more adjustment in the passenger seat and it be manual rather than powered and basic.

or you can just press the walk away button inside the boot when opened. Once it senses you have left it automatically closes the boot and locks it

Can you close the boot with the key fob 6 feet away ?

yes i can do it from my kitchen 20 feet from the car. And the sunroof and windows can all be opened and closed with the fob. Tap unlock then hold unlock and it all opens and the reverse to close it.

I think you missed my reply to you above. The passenger seat is by far the lowest in the car. My young kids in the back seats are level with my other half in the front seat

My wife is a lot smaller than me and needs the seat set to maximum height . So there’s no point going for test drive next week!

nope you are probably right. The back seats are actually higher than the passenger seat. My missus actually mentioned yesterday on a drive that she was the lowest in the car by some margin. I like my seat high as well.

I thought the seat adjustments were on the door. 1,2 and set. If I remember correctly the salesperson said you could also use your key fob to set the seat so it remembered who was sat on number 1 and also number 2. I’m sure when I watched YouTube videos they showed you how to adjust and set.

so get the seat in the right position,  press the set button then either 1 or 2 depending on which numbered key you are using. It’s full memory along with the wing mirrors as well.

JMC said no passenger height adjustment, no lumbar support for both front seats

This is what I said. The drivers seat has 8 way power and the height can be adjusted. The passenger has only 4 way. So forward and backwards on the base and the same on the seat back. No lumbar at all in either side.

So far so good. No major issues at all just a couple of personnel niggles…. I turn the traffic sign recognition off every drive (no it doesn’t keep the settings) and that stops the flashing in the HUD and bonging almost completely. I have also set the lane departure warning as the latest setting otherwise the steering wheel does most of the work for you and initiates the LDW and steers too often. I end up fighting the wheel!! No passenger seat height adjustment nor any lumbar support at all for either front seat. Everything else is nigh on perfect for us and our circumstances. 3 kids all love it in the back and plenty of USBs.

@phaedra Email Skoda UK – subject complaint In good faith you chose to add the advance pack soley to take advantage of the Canton premium sound system. I believe the sub to be faulty or not fit for purpose as it does not provide any noticeable bass. You took it to your supplying dealer (name) & (managers name) for investigation on “x” date – They did not carry out any tests other than compare it to two Superbs. You then tried to book it into another dealer (name) & (managers name) who wanted to charger £126 to look at it, on a 3 week old car, which you declined. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 states the the vehicle or part of, must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. As the problem has occured within the first 30 days, I am entitled to a full refund of the Advance pack as, the Canton sound system isn’t what was advertised at, the time of purchase of the said pack. “if your willing you cadd add, that you would be willing to have the issue investigated, as long as the outcome is to your full satisfaction” Kind regards Phaedra I’m sure you can type something similar. I’d also email it to Skoda HQ and add a read receipt to the emails so you know they have got it. They will likely jump through hoops and hurdles presented with this ?

Not applicable by law in this situation, It would need to be directed to Motabilty, as we are only a 3rd party between Skoda and Motbility

why does it have to applicable by law? Surely customer service and common sense should prevail? These cars are not free and cost us thousands and thousands…. why should we have to accept a poor service? I would be at the skoda dealership today myself and make sure other potential customers know that £2k on that pack isn’t worth it…. and that skoda don’t care about disabled customers nor customer service!! See how fast they act then!

I can get to my sisters 2 country villages away 6 miles and to my local country park 2 miles in ev mode my engine normally kicks in at 42 mph on my routes

no chance. The battery is tiny and will only run for a mile or 2 at best without the engine firing up.
