Could I ask you the range was 700 miles on the display when you picked up what the range is saying now is in true with the miles you have done ? Cheers
….288 left after doing 236…I have enjoyed the car though!! 45-50mpg will be easily achievable although I thought I’d just enjoy the free fuel ? People look at it more than any other car I have had. The blue just pops and I waxed it yesterday.
How’s the new car going ? Have you needed to fill up yet ?
….. today it needs filling. Nigh on 480 miles from the full tank. But I haven’t tried to economise tbh. 550-600 will be easily achievable. The car is such a nice space to spend time in…. the Megane had a dark headlining and was so dark inside but this is the polar opposite!! Still loving it so far!!

It’s only a 1.05kw battery so 3 miles max but probably only a mile in reality.
Has the auto gearbox got creep where it goes steady forward in drive and what speed does the engine kick in 30 or 40 mph ? I only had a 20 min test drive many thanks
yes. Traffic assist works perfectly but the lowest speed you can set is 19mph. It steers as well for you. The engine kicks in at any speed. It’s interesting watching the power meter when cruise is set to 65mph. Sometimes it still uses pure EV mode at motorway speeds depending on the road conditions (downhill for instance) I managed to drive half a mile to my kids school in pure EV the whole way.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Yeah brilliant. It was light on the way and dark on the way back so I got a good idea of most features. 40mpg on the way (enjoying the car) and 50mpg on the way back (just drove normally without exceeding limits) so very impressed. I did panic the 1st time I drove in the dark because I thought my headlights were constantly on, but it’s the high beam assist that keeps the blue headlight sign on the dash constantly and it works amazingly especially compared to the meganes adaptive lighting, different league. HUD is a very nice bit of kit and incorporates android auto map directions into it which is quality. The sunroof is massive!! The Bose system is very very good and punchy but only having a few simple sound options is a bit disappointing. The seats don’t get as warm as the meganes did but these are leather compared to fabric but the steering wheel gets nice and toasty. I like the acceleration, even the noise it makes is quite soothing and i love the way it simulates gear changes. Oh and the brakes are solid. Gesture control on the power boot has been flawless and its a very comfortable and relaxing place to spend time. My 3 kids and missus love it as well. The blue really pops out and has had lots of admiring (or not) glances as well. I think we made the perfect choice!! Ali think 55mpg is definitely achievable in eco mode driving carefully. Anything I missed that you would like to know? Just ask.

We ordered a honda ZR-V on the 6th of this month and we picked it up today. The dealership were outstanding in every way. They knew we were motability customers from the outset and couldn’t do enough to help us. We had an unlimited test drive (on our own) in the exact model we wanted and we loved it instantly and ordered after 15mins of driving! They sent us a video when the car arrived with them and they have also let us take the car today even though it will be another 7-10 days before they get the pro-rata AP we had refunded from our previous car that went back early. We obviously had to pay the difference today. So after a very smooth handover, Oliver our sales guy went away and came back with a lovely bunch of flowers for us! And to top it off, I got into the car to see 740 miles range… they had filled the 67 litre petrol tank to the brim!! Yeomans Honda Bognor. Outstanding!!
Its a lovely colour – matches my eyes ? @JMC Enjoy it and safe journey tomorrow ?
thank you
Wow?
exactly what we said!! I have just spent 20 mins messing around when the settings to suit me. Android auto up and running with a nice big satellite view and the reversing camera fills the screen. Also it says 9in multimedia display but I am positive this is bigger.

Now I see lol ?
I just tried to add a couple of photos but I can’t seem to do it on my phone.
If you turn your phone to landscape, the photo box is accessible.
I am getting the box but then it wants me to type in the jpeg and other info…I just thought it would take me into my pics. I have tried a few times in the past and never succeeded
I just tried to add a couple of photos but I can’t seem to do it on my phone. I will get on the laptop later. And yes I will reset the MPG when I leave and let you know the results. It’s from the south coast, deep into south London and back home via Burgess hill.
Well I have it. No time for a proper review yet because all I have done is driven it home but its a lovely looking car in the blue and so glad we went for the advance because the panoramic roof is so nice and worth the extra over the sport on its own!! Oliver at Yeomans Honda Bognor Road Chichester was excellent. 2 nice touches as well, big bunch of flowers for the missus and 760 miles range in the full tank of petrol!! 200 mile round trip tomorrow so I will post a more in depth review on Saturday. 1st impressions are very very good though.
January 25, 2024 at 9:00 am in reply to: How long should I have a hire car because of an accident? #256203Sorry..GLB220… big purple SUV. Add lovely.
January 25, 2024 at 8:46 am in reply to: How long should I have a hire car because of an accident? #256202I would have returned that hire car instantly. They sent us a 3yr old zafira to replace our qashqai…I rung them same day and they swapped it the next day for a Merc B220. Don’t forget you are paying motability over £300 a month for your car…. It isn’t free!!
Picking my advance up tomorrow. I will post my review on Saturday as I have a long drive (200 miles total) on Friday planned weeks ago so a perfect 1st road test.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>I have the Seat Ateca TSI FR Sport that I would thoroughly recommend ?

yeah I had one of these myself. 2021 face-lift FR sport in rhodium grey. We had constant issues with the virtual cockpit and the infotainment system doing what it wanted, when it wanted!! So we only had the car 14 months before it went back because all we had on our black screen, was a tiny little Bluetooth sign!! So no speedo or anything!! But the car was amazing and we would still have it today if it had worked!! But I know these issues with the VAG infotainment has finally been resolved…. with a totally new infotainment haha!! They couldn’t fix it.
With the volvo being on motability for a while now, you would expect adaptations are possible. I did shortlist the volvo but my missus wouldn’t even go to look at it. Something about her dad and volvo years ago lol. Looks lovely though
So no Ateca….We needed something bigger than our megane and aside from the MG HS, there isn’t many larger, good spec ICE vehicles for a low AP. The closest vehicle to the ZR-V is probably the Qashqai e-power but again, higher spec models are expensive. Have you ever applied for a grant towards your AP? I have never applied but it may be worth a try to get a bigger car. I guess if an EV was an option you would have looked at the id4 maybe? Tricky.
Yeah that’s not good. Surely they must have known this? Other cars…..I had a 2021 Seat Ateca that was nice and spacious and I see the experience model is quite cheap. But the top models are still quite expensive. Other than that, I haven’t got the experience myself to help. Good luck!!
My car has arrived at the dealership. We just received a lovely 60sec video clip with the sales guy and the car behind him. Very nice touch from Yeomans, Chichester Road.
Yeah I will certainly miss the Megane and its pre heat (thermal comfort in Renaults) from the app function. It heats the cabin, seats, steering wheel and the battery!! I did ask (as this ZR-V is a hybrid and can be EV only) if this was possible but salesman said it was against the law because of the ice engine.
Just get the £495 AP vehicle and pay the £540 to Toyota yourself.
