it’s getting a bit desperate.
I don’t disagree with you.
What should the scheme be like? Or put another way, is it possible to have it better??
I feel Motability play a game with us when it comes to the AP. It needs to be more flexible, open and transparent. As for the choice, we should be able to choose anything we like.

I think the current prices force you to consider the value of the scheme and how it might suit your needs. It remains fit for purpose in my view.
It is not a race to the bottom, but people’s desires and aspirations have increased over the years. Those of us who have been on the scheme for decades will remember how small and basic the cars used to be. Compared to the Invacar, the choice was amazing and welcome.
Of course, you can vote with your (proverbial) feet and whilst we are on metaphors, the grass isn’t always greener the other side.

(you can’t in Enyaq- it is not real move up) etc.
You can in mine, electric drivers side with memory. I think the two are at two different price points, you’re comparing apples with oranges.
But the Enyaq is a solid car with great software integration and a massive boot. But you know all that anyways! Save your money and buy a new telly or something!

Love the IT Crowd!
That’s the best solution by far and the cheapest.

That sounds like a real mare for you pal. The idea that the ‘computer says no’ is just ridiculous and lacks any real understanding of the issue. And it’s taken me 20 seconds to work it out, so why not them? Idiots. You must be at your wits end with it.
I hope you get it sorted out to your satisfaction.

A friend took me out in his recently and it was very comfortable in the front and the car seemed to have loads of space. His negative comments are that his base version has no sat nav and that it is a very thirsty car. The boot was huge, he has a hoist and small powerchair in it.
Well worth a look if nothing else.

Can’t you swap tariff to octopus 7p/KW one to charge overnight?
Note sure if the car would qualify but if it does, that would be the obvous route to go down.

It would get right up my goat, but to protect my sanity, I would just pay the £60. I hope you can get that paid. Please remind me I said this, should I get a ticket.
Absolute scallywags. Best of luck to you @Footloose

Cheers! They are quite big and zip about. More bird than moth and they migrate from southern Europe. I think the hot weather must have brought it up to Scotland.

I wonder if they will sell them in Scotland?! Unlike their ASHP!!

The loss of fuel duty from transition to EV will be the biggest headache for UK Gov budgets.
I was talking about this just yesterday. Couldn’t reach an agreement on how it might work and got a headache!!
Back to the OG’s question, I think they would be obliged to pass on the reduction.

Is it just me who can spend quite a long time scrolling the Shorts on YouTube, skip, watch, skip, watch, watch, watch, skip, skip…..☺️
Nope!!

It’s the fashion these days.

Back in the day you used to get VAT knocked off new cars, but now it isn’t so easy.
Your biggest enemy buying a car is deprecation.

I’ve just got an email to say my BB needs to be replaced, again. These three years come round quick. So, answering all the same questions as ever, with the same answers, I wonder how long it will take to see a nice new shiny badge?

There is a new Nissan Leaf out, might be on the scheme soon.
I would add the Ford Explorer, a most comfortable car, more so than the Enyaq. If they were the same price I would have taken the Ford.

I don’t think I can help, but I am interested in your charge regime.
I use my Ohme as a dumb charger, set the location in the car and let Octopus control the charging.
Just curious, why use ohme as a smart charger?

Border – Dark chocolate ginger. (When they are on offer)
I know someone else who likes ’em. Tunnocks kindly supports disabled sailing up here, so keep buying them tea cakes please!

Previous car VW ID3 no mats, Current car Škoda Enyaq came with mats.

I once ordered a Mazda as the dealer is at the top of the road. A week later they went bust and the nearest dealer was then a 70 mile round journey. HOWEVER, Motability were happy for the local Renault garage to carry out the servicing. Happy days.

June 6, 2025 at 11:23 am in reply to: Pathways to Poverty A report form Citizens advice on the Disability benefit cuts #306326I’m not particularly politically mind, and I’m lazy, but what disability benefits are there?
I get ADP, being in Scotland, is there another benefit I could be claiming? Or are they saying the number of people claiming to be disabled needs to be reduced? ie fewer disabled people??

Conversely, I have found some petrol stations much harder to deal with than some public chargers, and I would never have sent an ICE car back because of it. Could the EV charge stations be better designed? Of course. Will it ever happen? Doubtful.

Your all just bragging now 😂 I’ll be 67, if not older before I join the old gits club!
They’re all lucky sods!

Hard to believe you’ll get FTTP quicker than a blue badge!!

There is a ‘house’ icon, which is the home button. Bottom left, if I remember right!
Actually, it could be on the right!
Did you get it sorted?
