So Jaguar never came on, so TomTom was a jackanory 😄
Yeah. But definitely record it on the phone, it’s hard for them to say otherwise. (Passenger to record the speedo, as the warning cones up on the information in between the speedo and rev counter)
Yeah so some days it wouldn’t ping, but 9 times 9ut of ten it would poxy ping. Some times repeatedly. We’d notice it more on the motorway though. The blimming thing was relentless.
Hi, I’ve had a Tiguan for 3.6 years off the scheme, and yeah they ping happy ain’t they.
Tbf they diagnosed the issue with us and turned out to be the steering wheel. It was probably replaced 6 months ago and it’s been fine since thank god. We actually got so used to it we kind of ignored it. But I know a few people that own relatively new VW’s and they all complain about warning sounds!!!
A thing we did was record the pinging when driving let’s say up the motorway. So my partner would get her phone put and video it, so I could show the dealer what was going on.
It was actually the outer skin on the steering wheel that was causing the issues, but they replaced the whole wheel.
Good luck
Ps IFÂ it keeps playing up and VW won’t help you, I’d suggest asking motability about a possible termination on the car, as apparently the Brand New version is coming on the scheme in July. And possibly order one of those. (But wait to see if it comes on first) they don’t make the all space in the new car though. They’re bringing out a new concept to replace the all space
Petrol X1
Petrol X2
Q3, more trim options
Tiguan R Line
Audi might add the S Line, and VW are apparently adding the new Tiguan
Won’t hold my breath on the BMW though
I asked if R line and he said wasn’t aware which ones yet
hopefully the Rline comes on.
I don’t believe that the all new X2 has ever been on the scheme. I might be wrong, but I thought that when the X2 was last on it was the previous model (bearing in mind that the new X2 has only been out a matter of months, much later than the new X1). The all new iX1 and iX2 appeared fairly quickly, but we haven’t been offered any petrol, diesel or PHEV versions of the X1 or X2 yet. I’d jump at an X1 petrol, but don’t think it will appear given Motability’s fixation on EVs and PHEVs. I think that the PHEV is the best we can probably hope for. Same with the X2.
No it was definitely the fuel X2, it was on the scheme about 4 or 5 days, and BMW actually took orders, and a few days later BMW contacted them and cancelled their orders.
I currently have a Tiguan, and I extended the 2 year period so have 18 months to find a car. I like yourself would love to see the X1 petrol come on, I see Audi have put the Q3 on, but the trim is in Sport, and it has very limited ‘extras’ as standard. Mercedes have just added the GLA, but I’m hoping VW will add the new Tiguan in July.
There you go!!
People will tend to order a new car if they’re happy waiting, want a specific colour, extra features added etc
The only thing I’d consider now is waiting till 1st of July to cancel, to see what happens with the AP.
Like it *could go up by a 1000quid. If that makes sense, you’ve basically secured this price.
You could even keep your order and speak to your dealer to see if he/she can source you a stock car.
Good luck
Hi, I’m on my 3rd motability car. Once I knew what car I wanted off the list I phoned all the dealers (I don’t mind travelling) and I’ve had all 3 cars within about 10 days of going to the dealer, it takes about a week to register etc.
they were stock Cars, so couldn’t add extras ect.
Good luck
*fwiw some dealers will say there’s none in the country, but I’ve phoned another dealer and they’ve had them in stock. So keep trying, if you can be bothered 😂

?
The one I seen on Autotrader yesterday was definitely the new model. However, maybe it was marked up as PHEV by mistake.
I can clearly see the difference between the mk2 Tiguan and the new mk3 Tiguan ?
Yes, there’s a PHEV on Autotrader in stock ready to go.
If the Tiguan comes on at a silly AP, I will continue to use my 2 years extended lease on my Rline Tiguan, before coming off the scheme.
Ah right, didn’t realise they’re restricting the paint options (potentially)
It’s now 9th April and the BMW website still doesn’t show the current quarters price list. Showing the price list that expired on 31st March isn’t much help. If anyone has tracked one down through other means and can post a link here I’d be most grateful.
Is this what you are after GG? https://assets.ctfassets.net/90a0xfzm8yw3/23grMfQgiLfxvr2LOhUErq/7543a3fc6eabdefcc890a5f22ac646b9/BMW_Motability_Price_List_Q2_2024_Customer.pdf
Thanks @BigDave. Was under the impression the 3 Series Touring estate was off Motability so crossed it off my list. Now it’s back on? MB seems to have it listed as an SUV now, no picture. Doesn’t come up under search for an estate. Still, £7999 AP and that’s for standard paint; ideal car for me, just too costly.
You’ll get to choose a selection of metallic paints.
Any BMW updates?
Ah I see. I’m sorry to hear about the passing of your late wife.
I just noticed the ‘short’ ownership of cars so thought they may not have been suitable.
Nice speaking to you ?
Hi, brilliant news regarding your delivery date!!
I see your cars, what happened between the Antara and the seat tarraco. Were they both not suitable?
Well done @POPS and @comfortablynumb2 It’s good to hear when people get sorted and are happy with their deal. We are at the mercy of Q2 price list (or Q3 & Q4 if we extend) and are particularly keen to see the BMW and Mazda lists. Hoping that some petrol (unlikely) or PHEV (possible) X1’s will appear and that the CX-60 APs drop ?
I’m hoping the X1 comes on too ?
Volkswagon touran confirmed back on the scheme, price drop for I’d.4 and I’d.5 , £3999 for the new shape tiguan
Hi, the Tiguan, is that base model or R Line, do you know?
Ohhh look at me itk haha ?
I’ve got the 4 motion, over 3 years I’ve never used it (selected the 4 wheel) and I think I paid £1500 extra on the AP at the time.
2 wheel drive next time.
‘Resealed in the summer’ if you’re referring to the Tiguan, I was at vw 3 weeks ago having a service, and when I asked they said “we’re gearing up for the showroom launch in March”
So Could be the summer, hope not haha.

I’m waiting for the new Tiguan to come out, I have the previous gen. Love it.
Hopefully it will come back on the scheme. They’re definitely milking the release date though, was told should be in showrooms early March its now middle of march and no sign of it, they opened the order books months ago, I’m sure the people that’s pre ordered them want the 24 plates ASAP.
