Any auctions near you, thier will be plenty for sale in auctions at the minute end of lease cars. Might give you some idea of what they are like.
I was in Vauxhall dealership last week, they had a frontera in the showroom, but the best bit was it was LHD there is no RHD available so Vauxhall sent them this one. You can’t drive it just look at it.
Indeed that is what they mean, there is only one island that has inhabitants over here which is Rathlin Island. Not as if there is loads of them.
Might be worth asking your local MP or councillor to ask them why you were only given a one year award. Very easy for them to write a letter and ask a few questions which will not affect you in the slightest.
Tell the MP or whoever, they told you on chat you might lose the award if you start questioning it. That is just away for them to say do not question our decisions or we will put you on the naughty step.
It says online that the award is usually for 2 years but can be shorter if the condition will improve. Will your condition change within a year?
How many miles is the BMW deal. Does it include maintenance and tyres for 3 years. Can you actually get in and out of an I4 they are so low to the ground, fall in but you want to try to get out of one.
I remember a few years ago collecting a Dacia from a nurse. When I got into it there was a blanking plate where the radio should have been, I asked did this not come with a radio she said it could have done but it was £30 extra so I told them not to bother.
April 17, 2025 at 7:42 pm in reply to: ID.3 Features Being Removed Unless I Pay – Was Anyone Told About This? #304455How old is the car? Most of the items you describe are 3 years and that’s it. If you want longer you have to pay for them yourself.
April 2, 2025 at 9:06 pm in reply to: (UPDATE) Motability and Ford debating over who will pay for repair. #302866if your brakes start grinding do you phone motability or phone the dealer. I know who I would be phoning.
March 14, 2025 at 4:32 pm in reply to: (UPDATE) Motability and Ford debating over who will pay for repair. #299456Could have been anything rattling, but to cover themselves they say it is a 50p coin.
February 17, 2025 at 8:34 am in reply to: First Motability Scheme Car (and first actual car) #297805A stock vehicle will get transported from another dealer or from the port, which means you get them alot quicker however, I find it odd a dealers system has been down for 2 weeks! If you don’t mind telling us what car you’re thinking of having?
probably the one he ordered in his Post
Myself and partner (named driver) viewed and ordered a PEUGEOT 2008 1.2 PureTech 130 GT 5dr EAT8 in either Black or Selenium Gray with no added extras following a test drive.😂
I don’t think that is correct a lot of dealers used to be able to do this but the DVLA stopped it. I think some manufacturers can still do it but most can’t. They need to register the car as normal then put the private plate on. When you take the private plate off the number that the car came with goes back on. I have had this 3 times now.
What is wrong with the handbrake that you can not use it.
I don’t know how you can get in and out of that, they are so low.
Phone the DWP and explain the situation to them. I have heard of them adding an extension so that you can get the car.
Your welcome 🤗
I wonder will these mats suffice everywhere, especially for people in terraced houses with no driveway.
I cannot add anything useful with the individual problem you have had however I fully agree Motability is not what it was. Large profits, high salaries for top staff and poorer service to users. They have high satisfaction ratings but that is unsurprising given the volume of customers. More interesting would be the satisfaction ratings where things go wrong – how they resolve problems not just how they supply vehicles – most people are in a good mood when they get a new car! I won’t bore everyone with my sagas other than to say they have included the RAC when travelling abroad and in the UK and replacement vehicles due to waiting months for parts. After months of arguing, I wrote a very long letter to the Charity (as they have oversight for the “purpose”) of the Operational team. No response. I suggested that they were on a path where they would one day look back and wonder where it all went wrong. Perhaps it is time for MPs to review the organisation again and possibly to allow a competitor to be set up.
MP’s are looking at it they are thinking about doing away with PIP and giving vouchers instead of money. No doubt motability could well be included in all of this and maybe will be no more.
If the insurance company is going to buy you something a second hand seat Alhambra or a Volkswagen Sharan both have rear sliding doors. It would be 4 years old I think they stopped making them in 2020 but it would let you save your pip money for something that comes along that might suit.
And this is motabilitys own site for selling their cars.

City auction group Peterborough also sell lots of motability cars. Anyone can buy them there it is not trade only.
Have you ever seen the state of some of the motability cars that are handed back. Do not worry about a bit of Velcro. Some of the auctions have use once PPE with full head mask to clean some of the motability cars that are handed back.
Some cars have all the seats and seatbelts eaten by dogs. Some of the cars have been used as a toilet by animals and humans.
I think the guy in my street last night in a brand new Skoda motability car delivering food wasn’t to worried about the use of the car.
£7,999 for an Alfa Romeo Tonale must be trying to compete with the Astra.
Why not just drain it with a hose round the corner and push it in.
