This is the Reason why the next car is going to be Dacia Sandero Stepway

as its got stuff you need and not got buttons and switches every where like other car
manufacturers out there That your never going to use

plus we can order from 9 June and the car is In Stock so no waiting times for a factory order

            happy times

Tiny tim – Same car that I ordered 136GT. Are you happy with the car? I don’t want to cancel unless the delays are for months.

Adam, now I know about dumpy, I’ve owned about 6 Allegros and I love them, but that new Swift is U.G.L.Y – have you seen the new MG3 Hybrid it’s priced up against?…. Wow is all I can say – it’s a huge leap forward![/quote]

Can anyone tell me what this warning light means please? from kia

The Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) is the system that removes the soot from the exhaust gas. Unlike a disposable air filter, the GPF system automatically burns (oxidizes) and removes the accumulated soot while driving.

However, repeated short-distance driving or long-distance driving at a low speed can stop the accumulated soot from automatically being removed by the GPF system. If the accumulated soot reaches a certain amount, the GPF warning light () will illuminate. To reoperate the GPF system, the vehicle should be driven for more than 30 minutes at a speed of 80km/h (50 mph) and faster. Ensure the following conditions are met: safe road conditions, transmission 3 or above, and engine speed of 1,500-4,000 rpm. Driving at 80 km/h (50 mph) or faster for recommended hours will get the GPF system back to work and stop the GPF warning light.

If the GPF warning light stays on or the warning message “Check exhaust system” pops up even after driving at recommended speed and for recommended hours, visit a professional workshop and check the GPF system. Kia recommends to visit an authorized Kia dealer/service partner. Constant driving with the GPF warning light on can damage the GPF system and undermine fuel economy.

And Give it a good bit of welly and if you can use the car more that’s what it there for

My gpf light came on at 900 miles and it took me three tries over a week or so to get rid . I eventually got rid if it by doing a 30 mile run on the M60 in sport mode ,doing 70 but keeping the gear in 5th using the paddles. This was done 2 days on the trot , then the relief of no more light. Now I drive in normal ,not eco also I turn the isg off when I start the car and 500 miles later the cars running fine and mpg is starting to creep up again. Good luck sorting yours out .

                                                Do what stav did

Good blast down the motorway doing 70ish Will properly sort it

then drive in normal mode and turn stop/start off

I recently got a new suzuki Vitara mhev (off the scheme) and really like the regeneration when coasting or braking and every time I go down a hill I take my foot of the gas and it’s great seeing the bars go up. Actually got the 48v battery full today 5 bars as I turned of the aircon. It then uses that battery power to give a boost when needed and to restart the stop start system (which is instant) which is something I hated before on other cars, i’ve had with stop/start as there was a delay and it runs stuff when the cars engine is off. You can set the aircon to eco, standard or comfort when stop start is on also.. Guess what i don’t like is that? as it doesn’t have an electronic handbrake when you use adaptive cruise and come to a total stop behind a car, it then cannot hold the car without you putting your foot on the brake and if you remove your foot from the brake pedal, say you put it in N and put handbrake on the engine starts. But hey ho i got used to that now, just how it is, no cars perfect imo. Everything else i really like alot and very happy with my choice as it’s something i might keep for as long as it’s viable to do so.
