Please becarful of filling out this form. It is merely a google form with no identifying of who Disability Advocates UK are. I have ran a serch on the name and can not find anything about them on line. @kezo see if you can find anything about them. My advice do not touch until further details can be confirmed.
I think DPAC is one such organisation behind it.

Someone shared this survey with me that is being used as evidence for possible group legal action against Motability by Disability Adovates UK https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfLjhrTL014rLzLH-xSjGg9GkLJxhuVoAyRYjojaHaWXhnlEg/viewform?fbclid=IwVERTSARNckdleHRuA2FlbQIxMABzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAwzNTA2ODU1MzE3MjgAAR5YzmlTDT5cbs2mmEBet_UKpyLR3sgEQHejPEkl0m-yD4LZ5wyDeqUE4mjBWQ_aem_dM94NrcBtT3mn9ZWBlGhlg&pli=1
Now thats not only worth filling in, but also its own thread.
I feel awful paying £7.2K for my Enyaq as I needed rhe surround cameras plus all my adaptations. I have considered going private in this case it doesn’t make much sense as its my first adapted car, and well it does workout slightly better off to do motability right now.
Thats alot of money, once you take into account sacrified benefits, with nothing to show for it after 3yrs!
I would imagine a company as big as Motability must be like most other large company’s and have a largeish fleet of company cars for it’s high up management team, including the CEO, who are all being funded by us the customer’s/members. I am looking forward to hearing/seeing the feedback from them on how they got on with the Drive Smart system in their company cars which were effectively financed by us. Surely it is only fair to expect them to take the same care as us in driving Motability financed cars which will be resold with the proceeds, like all our resold cars, being used to fund Motability for our benefit. Who better to have test driven the system, than the very people who are implementing it. As they give the Insurance contract to DL or or someone else. Did DL stipulate and agree the DE system in their tender.
Valid points, but I think you know the answer to that!
Very good!
As well as having the choice to except a black box or take higher insurance, its typically up to the age of 25.
I find most if not all of the upcoming changes discriminatory because we are being treated unfairly compared to general market.
The £350 grant for renters closed on 31st March and was relaunched in April, under slightly different rules and the grant amount upped to £500.
The new rules also allowed customers to who applied before 1st of April can reapply for higher £500 grant with some caveats shown below.
I would highly image Ohme applied for the before installing your charger 15 months ago and were subsequently paid the grant on installation. Therfore, I expect Ohme are trying to pull a fast one and will either try to submit a new grant application or use it to submit a grant at a different residence.
The rules are clear though
“Transition to the new platform
The previous grant management portal closed to customer applications on 31 March 2026.Customers who applied for a flats and renters grant or residential landlord chargepoint grant before 1 April can reapply for the higher £500 grant rate by registering for a new account.
The old application would be cancelled and the new one assessed.
Customers cannot reapply for the higher rate if their chargepoint has already been installed.
If you do not wish to re-apply, your installer will be able to fit your chargepoint and claim the grant on the current portal (up to £350 per socket) until it closes for claims on 26 May.
After that date your application will expire and you will need to submit a new
Timescales for assessing applications and claims
Initially we estimate that it will take up to 10 working days to assess applications and claims submitted on the new platform.Customers must not have their chargepoint installed until receiving notification from OZEV that they are eligible for a grant. We will notify your installer at the same time.
I’d also be inclined to bring up the black box and how age discrinatory it is compared to what is expected by insurance companies outside the scheme.
@kezo apparently its left the factory so well on target for 31 may.
Brill mate!
We will have look more in depth into charging 🙂
Nice review!
Good to hear your happy with the car overall.
its an oddity with the new mini specs, the monochrome it doent have heated steering wheel, on other models its part of the level 1 pack. i almost ordered the monochrome as i can live without the heated steering wheel but you cant play music from a usb now on minis theyre for charging only. so as all my music is on usb’s now i went for the ev4.
Any updates on yours?
The early termination fee is £250 is that correct? After July VAT will push it up to £300? Still, to get rid if the car, not bothered about the gcb either.
Correct mate!
Someone on one of the Facebook motability groups commented that if you don’t break the rules then you have nothing to worry about with Drivesmart.
One of the goody two shoes targeted for carrying out the survey
or
A Motability employee in disguise!
“Almost half (48%) of customers on the Scheme who have tried to access insurance privately have been priced out – quoted premiums they could not afford. That’s why everyone on the Scheme receives the same comprehensive insurance cover as part of their lease. The total cost of this cover is shared across all customers as part of their overall lease cost. ”
Pesonally I think they are just clutching at straws with some of the stuff they are coming out with!
There is plenty of evidence out there on how data will be shared, which is contradictory to the latest media factsheet, including that from the NI trial, the manufacturer IMS (IMS One APP and IMS Wedge) & Motability’s own website.
The reports of NI trial, where numerous scheme users were removed from the scheme and the particular report of someone doing 117mph in a built up residential area, I think is utter bollocks and was either for the purpose of a media attention headline, as I wouldn’t put it past Motability, based on the fact they have never stood up for us scheme users OR there was a GPS or App error reporting current speed, which happens. I always remember the time, the tracker on my Mercedes Sprinter 316 recorded 212mph down the M4 and recieving a certificate for the fastest contractor oof the month, which I still have. Of course this was nonsense.
I’m also of the opinion every user of the scheme should have been asked for their a opinion on the changes to the scheme and not left to a Think Tank (Adam Smith) to target customers who’s responses would be favurable to the changes. A simple text or email with a link to an automated survey, would have been mch fairer.
Glad to hear your all sorted 🙂
IMO 360 camera should be on every car sold today.
Decent range, between 240-270 although did get just over 300
Thats alot down on 381 miles WLTP?
Don’t forget the vinyl sticker “I bought this afer Elon went crazy”😂
lol elephant. ive never had anyone in back only my frenchie. eventually got thro again and told they had no record of my file so went back to ins and after around 40 mins a very helpful chap went thro it all and hey presto its sorted…….. i hope as motability were gonna take my courtesy car away. its been an absolute nightmare going back and forth. still dont understand why they had no records as i made 10 phone calls over last couple days. thanx for all advice to ev1
Just to confirm, you don’t have to foot the costs?
Just filled up with petrol at our local Tesco, no queues and appeared to be no shortages with all fuels available 156.9 for unleaded, 165.9 for premium unleaded and 189.9 for diesel.
On news this morning said, fuel prices are expected to begin coming down in the coming days as wholesale costs fall, based on the current situation where wholesale fuel costs are significantly lower than they were at the start of the conflict.
Depends what you mean by surround cameras, which typically refers to 360 cameras and birds eye etc. Then upper spec VW Group cars (ID5, Taviscan, Enyak….) have 360 cameras, but not,
Blind view cameras, which are operated on indicator function and seen on Hyundai/Kia and MG have Bind view cameras in addition to 360 camera on top spec models.
BRUSSELS, March 31 (Reuters) – The European Union is considering reviving energy crisis measures it used in 2022 when Russia slashed gas deliveries, to address the unfolding disruption to energy markets caused by the Iran war, the bloc’s energy chief said on Tuesday.
The UK’s emergency fuel plan 2011, last updated in 2024, which outlines steps to be taken in severe shortages.
