Non Alcoholic beer?
Latest news is May will NOT put her deal to the commons next week. She should have taken the DUP to Brussels yesterday.
29th March will be good, WTO, Certainty, and the country will prosper.
I wonder if we will leave 12 April or May 22?
Is it going to come down to a binary choice next week in parliament once May’s deal is rejected a 3rd time?
No deal or revoke A50?
A crystal ball would come in rather handy.
Interesting post. I have leased my present car with a view to a possible purchase at the end and it has 12month/10000 mile services, in reality 11000. As I cover anything between 12-15000 miles a year I was concerned about the regular frequency until a close relative who works in the automobile sector put my mind at rest by pointing out the downfalls of 2 year servicing, particularly relating to regular oil changes. I hope your x1 is soon sorted and back with you.
“We are all culpable” said Nigel Evans MP when asked who is to blame for the current mess, unlike Anna Soubry and representives from the other parties who blame solely the PM.
I heard a Labour MP on the radio saying in one sentence he respected the referendum result and in the next the deal should be put back to the public with an option to remain. When people feel the need to say they respect something it’s usually because they do not or heavily paraphrased. Mays speech yesterday could be a masterstroke as the public are becoming increasingly frustrated with the delays and parliament will be blamed. Her rating keeps rising as others keeps falling, particularly Corbyn after his crassness yesterday. The speaker may have to take the blame if he blocks a 3rd vote. I keep hearing parliament doesn’t want this or that. The public aren’t interested in what parliament wants. They voted in 2016 and wants that vote respected. Interestingly on Peston Emily Thornberry said because it was 52/48 that meant we had to stay close to the EU. If the vote had been 52/48 remain would politicians have said although we voted remain as it was tight we need to distance ourselves a little. Credit to the PM leaving WTO on the table. I think politicians need to realise that this is now a real possibility.
I don’t think she is interested in building bridges or needs to. I believe her only focus us getting her deal through and then I think she will step aside. Politicians stock is at an all time low, hers a high and this is like a game of poker. Who is prepared to raise the stakes, and how high? Lots more life in this thread, months and months of interesting debate.
As I see it, 3 options for mp’s. Vote for May’s deal, revoke article 50 or leave on WTO on March 29th. This is what will be put to them and despite May’s bloody mindedness, she will be telling MP’s its down to you now if you want to defy the 2016 vote. Shrewd.
Perhaps this is what the Prime Minister is going to tell the nation at 8pm?
Like so many things in life it’s often down to individuals. I have had excellent service from local Skoda and Hyundai dealers, both family run and abysmal service from a BMW dealer in a large city and part of a big group. The stories on this thread are concerning and have a common theme, the same manufacturer VW. People must draw their own conclusions .
Always pay a deposit on credit card if possible, or part then you have protection under the Consumer credit act if the retailer goes bust.
A nice McDonald’s near Peter Cooper in Hedge End. Good to let others know of A VW dealer able to supply cars from “stock” in a few weeks. If I had known may have tried a Tiguan out.
An excellent way around the speakers demand.
I normally expect to find out if I had waited I could have got my car for a lower AP!
Never weary. Interesting read at Costa after consultants appointment. I’m sure something extraordinary will happen this week. It would be nice to get WTO even by default.
An exciting week ahead. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a revamped deal pass, just, and a 2 month technical delay with May announcing she will step down in the summer so a new PM can be in place to negotiate going forward, perhaps a general election?
I feel the EU will shift position, it says it will not but will be faced with an uncomfortable position.
The speaker has spoken, no 3rd vote on May’s deal.
I would suggest a poor turnout for a second referendum. Interesting to see the turnout for the European elections.
When this thread was launched in November last year I expected that the Brexit withdrawl agreement would have been sorted out by this point. Exactly what happens next is very difficult to predict and the evetual outcome even more so. I shall watch the final round of TPC golf and await developments this week. I think its fair to say the stock of MP’s has fallen to an all time low.
There is growing support amongst public for no deal.
Of course the speaker has to agree the deal can come back for a 3rd time. By all means give the public a final say between Mays deal and no deal.
I hope Hyundai smarten up the interior so it can compete with the likes of Audi etc. Don’t get me wrong, the interior is very good, but needs to be taken up a notch on the N line.
